had mice in our house and our landlord called someone from Up North to come take a look. He came in and said it was our fault we had mice for being "dirty" and not cleaning our house. We were skeptical, as our home is kept fairly clean and, if anything, just gets messy from time to time (as does everyone's). We kept calling him back to lay more traps because nothing he did was working, until eventually he informed us that we were "a waste of his time and money," that there was nothing he could do for us if we wouldn't be cleaner, and even went so far to suggest that my roommate's mother should bake him an apple pie for his "troubles." needless to say, we did not allow that man in our home again, and called a different service. Within 5 minutes of him being here, our new exterminator found a gaping hole in our basement wall that led directly outside! He then walked around our house and said it would have to be way, way dirtier to attract the amount of mice we had and that cleaning would, obviously, do nothing with a giant hole in a wall. The "exterminator" we had from Up North was not only condescending and extremely disrespectful to myself and my roommates (and our families), but he also clearly had no idea what he was doing and instead insisted upon blaming us for his shortcomings. I informed my landlord to drop them as a service provider and will tell everyone I know to not even bother calling this business for help; they're better off dealing with it on their own. read more
