Super clear to see why this place has such a crap rating. Was sold a broken cartridge that I brought back the next day with the receipt just wanting to exchange it for something that actually worked. This bozo's solution was for me to spend another $40 on another cartridge. This was terrible business and the guy was a dick. UPDATE: I wrote this review from the parking lot and my husband felt bad so he actually went in to get me another one. He tested out THREE cartridges (like put his mouth on them) and all 3 were broken. So the bozo guy looked dumb as hell. He actually told my husband "the hard part is going to be sanitizing these". DONT COME HERE!! GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!! This place is awful. I purchased an atomizer based off of the sales rep Nate's recommendation. I specifically asked if the atomizer was reliable since I've had a bad experience with others before. He assured me I wouldn't. So sure enough on Thursday of the following week, when i took the atomizer out of my pocket it literally fell apart. It was missing these tiny screws that clearly couldn't of been there when i first purchased the item. The staff wasn't at all helpful and the owner or manager Will Jaramillo was even worse. They refused to do a simple exchange and basically told me to go f*** myself. Take your money elsewhere these people couldn't care less about their customers or ethics. I love this little shop. Over the years the staff turnaround has made things go up and down however currently they have some good peeps working and are helpful. I broke a vape I only had for about a month and the staff member hooked me up with ease. The shop is small but I can easily maneuver my wheelchair around to see and enjoy they're selection of products. The door isn't automatic but staff and local patron are always polite enough to assist. Helpful overall and a very relaxed environment. I do recommend this shop. read more

I honestly wish I could give them zero stars. During my first visit they were very helpful. I needed CBD oil to help with pain control. While I was purchasing no one informed me of a return policy. I was trying CBD oil out for the first time. I was assuming, just like any other place, if something doesn't work for you, that you could return it. This was not my experience. Upon entering the store to see if I could return the item, they said, very rudely mind you, that they everything is final sale. I asked to talk to a manager and one of the employees mumbled something and I don't even know what he said then a woman on the floor stocking said, "it's all over the door and the store, it's not our fault you didn't see it." I have NEVER been treated so rudely at any store. I will never return here and I REALLY appreciate the fact that someone who is in immense amounts of pain can count on the customer service here.... He was very impatient, unfriendly as well. He tried to demonstrate and put his mouth to a piece I was seeing. That was nasty, I didn't want to buy it anymore. I called in advance asking if they stocked updated Quick Fix and was told they did. I visited on 2/5/20 and was allowed to buy a box of it from behind the counter. Running the serial number listed on the certificate of authenticity in the picture through the Quick Fix website indicates that it is expired. There shouldn't be any expired products available for sale. Since the box was opened, I don't know that I'll get a refund on that $39.99. read more

Came here for my first time a couple of weeks ago. I've been to the Landstar location and was already familiar with the setup of the shop; I even met the owner himself. I was actually more curious about the employees running this location since, of course, it is conveniently located across the UCF campus. The gentleman working the shop that afternoon was very nice and didn't hover over me while I looked around. He even took notice that I roll my own cigars and suggested a Clipper lighter which has been my greatest find yet! This location has a huge selection of tobacco and hookah products. I love the smell of tobacco shops so with that, plus the friendliness and help of the staff, it doesn't get more laid-back than this. When I went, they were accepting cash only since they were in the process of getting a credit card reader. They do have an ATM in the store if anything does catch your eye (but there's a Bank of America like 5 minutes away so that worked for me). All in all, this is my go-to tobacco shop because they really do care about their customers more than they do sales. read more

My mod stopped working last night during an excruciatingly painful Dallas Cowboys game! I quit smoking cigarettes a year ago and after my 13 hour work shift, i drove to Up in Smoke in Lake Mary. Lisa and James went above and beyond to help me! They changed out my atomizer, cleaned my Mod and tried multiple ways to get it working! In the end, I purchased a Smok pen that actually works well enough to hold me over while my mod is being replaced by the manufacturer! Literally the rudest people work here. They over charge EVERYTHING and sell cheap and low quality products with a funny "no return" policy. Ironic considering half the things you buy don't work so you end up with an overpriced, broken piece. Today I experienced the worst customer satisfaction I've ever came across. I bought a disposable vape from here and the employee (Nick) who sold it told me nothing but great things about the product. I walk out of the store and try to smoke the vaporizer and immediately realize it's burned out. I walk back into the store and tell the employees how the product they sold me isn't working at all. They tell me theirs nothing they can do to help me even though the employee told me this is one of their best products. I got no refund and no satisfaction from this store, I come here all the time and I promise this is the last time I will come here. By the way I've heard multiple negative reviews about your employee Nick, he is an awful employee if that's the type of person you have representing your store I'm sorry but he is absolutely the main reason I will never return. I just moved near the area and while the location of this smoke shop is the most convenient for me, I have absolutely no problem driving further to other smoke shops. My first time experience there was unpleasant as the workers made me feel rushed. I asked how much it was for a single CBD lollipop and was shocked to hear them tell me that it was $10 for just one. SO UNREASONABLE!! I know for a fact that Vapor Crew sells them for $2 each. After that experience I decided today to call ahead and ask them the prices of what I needed to purchase and was told "we don't say our prices over the phone" like what?!??? That's ridiculous. Let me preface by saying that if you know what you're doing and have bought pieces in the past, you will notice that the prices here are absurdly high because people who don't know what they're doing will buy them. That being said, I'm from Miami where there are smoke shops galore and you can buy great glass for not that much. Because this is Orlando and there are a limited number of stores, I decided to check it out. The first time I went, I bought a bowl and down stem that if I remember correctly were $25 and $20. The glass was not thick or sturdy and the down stem broke as soon as I took it out of the bubble wrap but was partially my fault. I went back a few days later and bought another one which is still in good condition. My third trip there was to buy a water pipe. I was hoping to find an okay quality glass on glass water pipe (which elsewhere you could find for $50) but didn't want to spend so much since I knew I was getting ripped off and ended up buying one that was glass on rubber for that much(no ash catcher,ice, etc.) Had I waited to get back to Miami, I could have bought the same piece for $20. The guy who has been there every time that I've gone, though is extremely helpful and chill and it's not his fault the prices are whack. I won't be buying any nice pieces here because I don't want to shell out more than I have to but will definitely return for things like papers and possibly bowls. They're not skeezy and won't argue prices like most other places I've been to which personally works against me but is professional of them. read more

Went to up in smoke to buy a scale, they had to call 5 different stores to figure out a price on a product they had on display. After asking questions about the scale i felt like i knew more about the product then the person that was "helping" me did, keep in mind that this is the manager of the store. The workers are completely ignorant of their own merchandise. The manager later came out and said "the boss cant even be bothered" so he made up a price of $50. Later, i went home to find out that the scale was priced at $26.99. This store is infamous for overpricing their material. They get most of their merchandise from www.dhgate.com ( word from an old employee there )so instead of paying double to triple, just go on and head over there because they are overcharging you and dhgate's customer service is way better than Up in Smoke. Con/ripoff warning. We went in here planning on buying multiple products but got a bad vibe upon entering the store. I never should have bought anything but against my better judgment got a toy and a bottle of wine from them. We decided to pass on any glass because the prices were so outrageous. I mean 500% above fair market value. Anyways, I got the toy home (after the guy "held it behind the counter for me") and lo and behold the button was completely non responsive.
