Too many differing opinions, and it gets really technical really fast. You find yourself going down a rabbit hole and all of a sudden there's all of this stuff that you "need". I don't need this, I'm not looking to get into it as a hobby; I just want to try it out. So I decided to choose a different tack, to visit this shop and talk to an actual person. I sort of expected that kind of disinterested guy behind the counter half rolling his eyes when I walk in not knowing the first thing about anything, but that's not what I got. I got full and undivided attention, a solid explanation of the basics, and rather than being upsold on something I didn't need, I was directed to exactly what I needed -- something basic that performs well. The prices are in line with what you can find on the internet, which was a bit unexpected too. I would have expected to pay a premium for shopping in person, but that's not really the case here. In fact, one piece of hardware that I picked up was a good 30% cheaper than I could find anywhere else (you had to get a bottle of juice with it to get that price, but I was going to do that anyway). This is a nice, clean shop operated by friendly and knowledgeable people. The membership, if you choose to get one, costs $1 and gives you one month of access to test all of their flavors in the store. It's a no-brainer if you're interested in finding a flavor you like but don't want to take chances by selecting a flavor based on description alone.

I actually passed that one and when I went to turn around I discovered this shop in the plaza I was turning around in. I'm glad I did! They were open and had what I needed in stock and it was cheaper than where I had been going! Although it's farther away I would definitely come back to this one.
