I was so excited to patronize a small local business and purchase my very first hookah. My friend and I (who also purchased her own hookah) drove all the way from the heart of New Orleans to Terrytown. Unfortunately, this extreme up-sell by a local business has left me disheartened to say the least. If the hookah was about a $20-$30 increase in price, I could totally stomach that. However, up-selling by $60 when the hookah is priced at $39.99 on amazon now that is insane. I could only imagine what the actual wholesale cost of this model is. If you are considering making your way to Up In Smoke Terrytown -- I would strongly suggest saving your time, gas, and hard-earned money by sourcing another hookah supplier or local business. What a shame--I posted the hookah + tagged the shop on social media. Quickly, a follower asked for additional information. After forwarding the info, photos, and the price point the follower informed on the huge price difference from the hookah found on amazon. Whew! What a way to take advantage of your customers. Stopped in on my way back home and asked about THCA Pre-Rolls. Was told by the no kid behind the counter that pre-rolls are illegal in Louisiana, and that they don't carry THCA flower because it contains synthetics. Both of these are completely false. Won't be back. read more

Very pleased with this business. It was my boyfriends birthday and he wanted to grab a couple of vapes. The gentlemen was quiet helpful and nice about everything. Gave us advices on what was good and what not to my boyfriends palette. The credit card machine was down when we came in but it was fine since we carried cash at the moment. I typically have good to great service here as they have so many juice options and make sure they get to you as quickly as possible. However today was very different. I bought a new vape pen last week and it has been leaking. I went in for advice and best practices (never to blame them for selling a defective product) but the tall blonde white guy immediately started cutting me off when I was explaining the problems I was having. He told me to expect leakage and I shouldn't leave it in my hot car (um I never do). He told me that's what I should expect "living in a hot state". I was trying to understand my vape pen from what I thought was knowledgeable and helpful staff, not get cut off over and over bc he didn't have the patience to explain. Overall, this isn't the best place for you if you're a beginner in vapes. It's just too much hit and miss with customer service. read more
