Both hot dogs were juicy and full of flavor. The hot dog man was playing cards with his buddies when we pulled up but promptly helped us and explained his menu to us to help us made a decision. He was super friendly and welcoming. He grilled the hot dogs and Hawaiian sweet buns on the grill and it was ready in about 5 minutes. He has the usual condiments like ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, relish and onion and two unique toppings( the jalapeno relish and spicy coconut jelly(?)). I LOVED the heat the jalapeno relish added to the hot dog but beware, it is quite spicy. The coconut jelly is sweet with a hint of spicy which was good as well. There's no chairs or table to sit at and eat but it's a quick, stand up meal.

UPDATE: when I wrote the review the Hot Dog Guy was located in front of HPM hardware in Hilo, but now he is back in his regular spot at the intersection of Hwy 132 and Pohoiki Road near Pahoa.
