This is a terrible store. I think my melanated skin had a part to play, yes I am a BROWN WOMAN. The store's motive is to "PRICE GOUGE" during graduation! This day should have been a joyous time for me and family, however it turned out to be so dramatic for NO REASON! I wish I never walked into Uomo Da Milano. My entire day was ruined before the son's graduation, unfortunately we did not have a family dinner prior to the MOST IMPORTANT DAY of my son's life! This is the series of events: I walked into the store on Friday May 17th, I asked the cashier to assist my son with hemming his pants and the waist of the pants. The crazy lady at the desk charged my son $100.00 for an alteration, plus tax. I went around the corner in the mall to another alternation store with a professional tailor on site - the price was $18.00 for the same job. I went back to retrieve the pants, however, they never gave me back my refund. It has been a total nightmare dealing with this store. The owner called me to give me the full refund within a few hours. I returned back to the store hoping to get my refund to no avail. The crazy lady insisted that she already credited the card. I told her the owner called me and he asked to swipe my card for the refund. She was adamant that the refund was given and she gave me a receipt. Guess what? It is Thursday, nearly one week later - NO REFUND! I called her back she said, Go ahead and make a dispute with your bank! LORD, have Mercy! You cannot make this stuff up. I am going to report them to Better Business Bureau and the the AG Office. Good luck Brown people! read more

I under estimated this store, thinking i could never shop for a suit other than at Macy's. My wife wanted me to try them out and so i did. I have to say I was amazed on how many different suits, blazers, sport coats and ties they have to offer. The quality of the suits are just as good as Macy's but this place has more eye catching suits than Macy's. You do have to pay extra for alterations, at first i was disappointed because i feel that should be done for free. But when the employee said it will be done in 20mins, and not a week like other places i have gone to. The extra price for the services was well worth it. Looking forward to coming back read more

Strolling through the mall looking for a suit to buy and I happened to find this place by chance. There were signs all over the walls saying "buy one get two suits free". The only employee working greeted my GF and I. He wasn't overly intrusive after we said we're just looking. It was a little weird though when he said they're the only suit store in the mall when i'm pretty sure you can see Jos A Bank from their entrance? Anyway, all the suits were "on sale" with price tags covering MSRP. They all seemed to be around the $200-300 range. My GF specifically asked "so if we buy one suit at the sale price we actually get two free?". The worker's response was, "oh yes, of course." I tried three suits on and the worker said he'd tailor all three of them for $15. This just seemed too good to be true. And it was... We check out. All three of my suits were $200. Simple math, buy one at $200 get two free plus $15 tailoring, I should've been looking at $215 for three suits. Somehow the total came to $600+. I jerked my arm back before he could run my credit card and asked what the deal was. It was buy one at "full price" get two suits free. So after spending all that time picking things out, trying suits on he lays that on me. He worked out a deal where I'd pay just under $400 and get two suits tailored. I agreed and picked up my suits three days later. Upon pickup another worker tried to haggle me into buying a third suit at $150... So in the end you do get a pretty good deal on suits. But the sleazy sale tactics kind of remind of Canal St. I would've appreciated them more if they simply said everything is on sale for the price on the tag. read more

I tried returning three sweaters that I bought less than 30 days ago and the second I walked in the door, they said if you're returning the sweaters you can't do that. I said they don't even stretch, they don't even fit me. He immediately started making excuses, and obviously knew the sweaters were damaged merchandise however still sold them to the public. They would not return them... I gave them a few chances, speaking calmly and reasonably. I then left the bag of clothes and told him I will do a chargeback with my credit card, I then walked away. As I walked away he took the bag of clothes and threw it at me heading in the back of the head. This was resulted by me calling the police department to file a formal complaint. The police officer noticed there were cameras everywhere in the store and Mohammed, of which who threw the bag at me said the cameras don't work. The officer then insinuated other means of getting the truth such as mall cameras. I understand we all might lose control every now and then, all I wanted was an apology. His solution was giving me my lousy $30 back. I will never shop with this store ever again and I am posting this so other people know the customer service they have. read more

After having brought 3 wedding parties worth of business, today when my FSIL went to pick up the suit he prepaid for in February, they could NOT find it. Despite screen shots of receipts , tag numbers etc. He spent over 2 hours trying to rectify they issue they had him be re-fitted with another suit. And their customer service way of making ammends for the inconveinience, and the fact of how much business he brought there, ....... A free tie.. Terrible read more

This suit store in the galleria is a scam. I went there on 4/16/16 to purchase suits. They have signs outside that state "Buy one suit, get 2 free"when I arrived I told them I wanted to take advantage of the sale. After about a hour of 5 different people spinning me in circles and distracting me with multiple suits I was able to pick out my 3 suits. The highest priced one was $500. When we went to check out it came to $900. So I asked what happened to the sale? The owner said I was taking advantage of the sale and proceeded to show me that the suits all have 3 different prices on one tag. And he was trying to say that one price was for the sale, and then if not the price was the second, and then the third was retail value. BUT THEY WERE STICKERS THAT HE APPLIED TO ALL OF THE TAGS HIMSELF. It was nonsense. By then I was upset and I and felt embarrassed and pressured by the five people standing around me because I had tried on so many suits. I didn't want to leave there without purchasing something. I figured since i wasn't going to get the deal I was promised I would take some things off. After some deliberation and haggling on their end we came to "2 suits, a pair of shoes, and a belt" for $569.83. They allowed me to leave the store after providing $300 deposit (on my card) with the shoes and belt and said it would take 2 WEEKS for my suits to be ready and that the would call me when I could get them. The agreement was when I picked them up I was supposed to pay the remaining $269.83. They didn't even do a full tailor job, which they also advertise. All he did was measure my waist. On 4-17-2016 I called the store to let them know NOT to do my alterations. That I would rather not do business with them and that I was uncomfortable. They assured me that they would cancel the order and I could come in for a refund. and that "MY CARD HAD NOT BEEN RUN YET. so I had nothing to worry about" they ran it after the phone call ended. When I returned to the store on 4/20 to return the belt and shoes the owner threw a fit and told me that my suits were already finished, and that he would only give me store credit. I declined stating I didn't want to do business with his store and that I had already been assured by someone there that I would be given a refund. He started shouting at me and I let him know I would be calling the police.When the police arrived they told me the owner stated I had called him and said "hurry up with my suits" and when I arrived that I did not like them and demanded a refund. I NEVER EVEN SEEN THOSE SUITS. The owner also told the police that he would be suing me for the remaining balance (even though I didn't get my suits) I've already had to cancel my cc card because of this. I've filed reports with the BBB, ATTY GENS OFFICE, and now you. Also I might add that when the police were there they walked out with a laminated piece of paper stating there return policy. I advised the police that it was nowhere in sight when I made my initial purchase on 4/16/16 Since then the owner has not allowed me into his store to return the shoes and belt, even though he told my bank and my local news station that I would be welcomed. I've had to mail in my return and now have been being attacked online here on yelp and fb. This is my experience with this store. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

My bridal party has several open orders with this business. They were placed in early March. I completely understand the business is closed, but I have reached out on several occasions to resolve this issue with absolutely no response from the company. The products we purchased were supposed to be done by March 23rd. They have our phone number, so why they never called to explain they could no longer fill the orders is unusual. At this point, we just want an update. I am happy to change my review if I someone from the company could reach out. We enjoyed working with Uomo Da Milano, and do not want to hurt their business, we just want to know if there is any way we can receive the clothes we purchased, or if they could issue a refund. This place really helped me out. I needed a suit for a funeral and I needed it THAT DAY and they got the jacket, pants, and two shirts altered for me in about 2 hours. They have a good selection and it seemed to me to be quality clothing. Their prices are very reasonable for what you get. I will definitely be returning. read more
