Getting my hair cut and styled at Untitled was the best Salon experience I have had! Kimmie was amazing! Gave a fantastic head, scalp and neck massage. Crystal was a sweetheart: kind, communicative and friendly. And the other stylist there had flashy pants that were very awesome and entertaining especially with sparkles having caught the light with every motion and movement. When I first called, I spoke to Alex, who was very informative also. The ambiance was perfect, great tunes, loved the brick and plant contrast. And Kimmie was beautifully balanced. Not so talkative, yet engaging the perfect amount. And she braided the hair I desired to keep after it got chopped. I didn't even ask. Definitely above and beyond service and that's my kinda place. I not only recommend Untitled, I'll be revisiting again. THANK-YOU × a bajillion for a haircut & style that I am feeling damn good about! read more

I booked an editorial blowout after calling ahead to speak with both the receptionist and a stylist. As a Black woman with extensions, I was intentional about asking whether the salon could properly service my hair. I clearly described the texture of my hair and the fact that I wear extensions. This conversation was an opportunity for transparency--but rather than addressing any potential limitations, it seems the priority was securing the booking. According to the website, the editorial blowout includes a wash, blow dry, and set. I arrived on time for my 10:00 AM appointment, but we didn't begin until 10:15 AM. Since services are listed by time, starting 15 minutes late was concerning. Despite this, I was charged for the full editorial service--even though the stylist decided not to wash my hair, stating it would take too long to dry due to the extensions. This was her decision, made for the sake of time, and not something I requested or agreed to. Yet, a wash is clearly included in the service description, and I was still charged for it. When I pointed this out to the receptionist, I was told a note would be made for my next appointment--one I hadn't booked and likely will not be booking. As a new client, I expected some form of consultation. What I received was minimal and only happened because I prompted it. I explained that I wanted a full-volume, '90s-inspired blowout, and while the stylist acknowledged this, the execution did not reflect my request. The appointment consisted mostly of styling with a curling iron and blow dryer. In terms of skill, if I had booked a standard blowout or an extension-specific blowout, I may have had a better experience. Unfortunately, the result did not meet my expectations or reflect what was advertised. My dissatisfaction was not just about the final look--it was about the lack of care in delivering what I specifically asked for and the failure to follow through on what the service includes. A simple, honest conversation could have set expectations clearly. Lastly, and most importantly: If your team is not trained or experienced in working with textured hair, extensions, or styles that fall outside your regular clientele, then a client's appointment is not the time to learn or experiment. Transparency and preparation are a form of respect--and they go a long way in building trust. read more

I needed a root touch up while visiting Toronto and went to the L'Oreal website to find a salon that carried my product (I had my colorist write down my formula for me for times like this.) Finula (I know I'm butchering her name) did an excellent job and my color came out great! I was also really happy with the blow dry. I rarely write reviews, but had to in this case since it's such a stress to trust your hair to someone you don't know and I wanted to pass on the good find. read more

I booked an appointment for a full haircut, but when I arrived, the stylist said she would only cut the front because I have "too much hair" and refused to do the rest. Instead of offering to reschedule or suggest another solution, she just wanted to cut what she thought was manageable. It felt very unprofessional. If the amount of hair is a limitation, this should be clearly stated in the service description. read more

I came by here to have my hair done and was blown away at how nice the salon is. It features a bar, high ceilings, a fancy grey brick wall, and a green wall that is amazing for selfies after you get your hair done. When I first walked in, the bar tender greeted me so warmly. He was friendly and I wasn't sure if I was in the right place. He asked me if I would like a drink and told me to go to the seated area to wait for my stylist. Another lady introduced me to my stylist and we went to her station. She asked me which colour I wanted to dye my hair and she went to the colour bar to create the colour. She came back and began to apply it. When the process was done, my hair looked great and so healthy. My hair now looks smooth and soft and it is a really rich shade of brown with red undertones. Thank you for the amazing experience! read more

1. The color I got was pretty good 2. When I spend $300+ on color, you would think they wouldn't charge an additional $40 for a blow dry/style. Is this the case with all salons now and I need to just plan for it? I did get a "rough dry", which was the first time I had heard that term! 3. When someone offers you a drink at a salon and there is a cost to it, they should tell you; especially when most of the drinks are complimentary. When you tell the staff you weren't told there was a cost, they could perhaps not charge you because you thought they were complimentary- there was a small sign that had prices, but when I was asked about a drink, I wasn't looking at the sign; so there was no way for me to have known. PS: they have a great assortment of product and their booking process is great! There are a lot of amazing salons out there, and I am still on the hunt for the one where I feel valued and know I will be going back again and again.... read more

RUN ... unless you are looking for a colour disaster. I was here for first time requesting a root touch up. Three times the "colourist", Fionnuala attempted to match the colour of my blonde highlights. Three times and more than three hours later I left with three inch long splotches of brassy blonde, platinum and grey. In my thirty years of colouring at salons I have NEVER had such disastrous results. I am told the issue is with the lighting in the salon and Level 1 staff. Perhaps the stylists are more competent. Otherwise steer clear of Incompetent by Flaunt Boutique. read more

This place is great! Great atmosphere and friendly people. I regularly see Karla and she is great! Would recommend

I've been a client of Ivan's for his entire career and have been a customer of Untitled since it opened. Ivan and his team are true professionals, paying meticulous attention to detail. My cut and colour is always perfect when I leave. The ambiance at Untitled is fun and relaxing. Going in for a service is a highlight of my day or week. read more

This was my first appointment at the salon and upon first impression the salon is quite nice looking with its brick walls and high ceilings. I booked a blowout and style, which overall was OK - I'd say 7/10. The one thing I was really unimpressed by (reason for review) was how busy and rushed this stylist was. I was curious and asked how busy they were and I think they said like "cut, then blowout, then full cut and balayage etc." I asked if they would be having lunch and they said "no" because that's what's it's usually like. They did say that they were glad for having the hours but honestly, this person was sweating so much and sounded really stressed/almost in tears. I am learning quite a bit more about salons like this and I don't blame the stylists (obviously). The management and owners really need to step up and take care of their staff. This really put a sour taste in my mouth and won't be supporting an establishment that can't look after the people that keep their business going. read more

I had a cut and colour with an intermediate stylist, she really did not perform as an intermediate stylist, more as a beginner. She didn't listen to what I wanted to have done, dyed my hair (balayage) and then asked what cut I wanted... what if I wanted a short bob and all the colour would be cut off? Overall, she didn't do what I asked for. I called and explained the situation and the front desk was very apologetic and understanding. I was scheduled in quickly to have the cut corrected, but the stylist called in sick and the front desk cancelled my appointment (with just a 3hr notice), and didn't provide alternative times. It seems like they have a good client base and don't care for new ones, which is very unfortunate. read more

I went to Untitled last week with the high hopes of getting the same exemplary cut I got the last time. I'd chosen the same stylist, of course, so I had no reason to expect less. Having to wait fifteen minutes was the first sign the vibe was all wrong this time. After reminding the stylist with reference photos, the cut was quick, but quite off the mark, so I asked for it to be adjusted to get closer to what I was looking for. The adjustment--squarer layers to eliminate the rounded mushroom puff--was closer but nothing was done to the back and sides to align with the now shorter top. Concerned things would go worse if I asked for further alterations, I left the shop disappointed. Since then I've tried innumerable ways to make the hair work, but to no avail. I now have to slick it back with an abundance product or don a baseball cap. Clearly the stylist is talented. Perhaps an off day. Perhaps I should have stayed until I got what I wanted. Regardless, it's a shame what should have been another five star experience, ended up a three, and that's generous. read more

I have had 4 haircuts with 3 stylists at this salon that had nothing do with the style I asked for, and then an excellent haircut on my 5th try with a 4th stylist. The biggest issue seems to be getting the haircut with a style that you want, rather than the style that the hairstylist wants to give you. This place seems to love face framing layers and a soft look with curls. If that's not your thing, then you need to be really firm and adamanent. Ultimately, the last haircut I had is exactly what I wanted, and most likely I'll go back to that stylist, as I'm very happy with it, but I did lose a good 4-5 inches of hair from all the cuts to reach this point. Hair grows back and the manager is very nice and did everything she could to rectify the situation. read more

I pass by this place every morning on my way to work. I had never noticed it before but I love the space: high ceilings and very airy. I just had to try it out. They even have an espresso machine for complementary drinks. I've been looking for a new place to get my hair done, somewhere a little less pretentious from the last place I frequented. I really think I found it here. I had color and highlights....so far loving it! I really love the fact that they are extremely eco-conscious, so much so they have a "plant wall" to offset the very minimal toxins they use in their products. They also sell an array of natural/organic hair products which look very yummy...a little pricey but I'm sure they're worth it. Will definitely try something when I go in for my touch up in May. Very cool, very trendy but very "down to earth". read more

Great stylists. Great space. Great front desk staff. Great vibe. I really like this salon as it is spacious and comfortable. The booking procedure is convenient. Jason is my stylist and I really appreciate how receptive he is to my opinions. I like the products they use. I usually go on Sundays when they aren't too busy. I am sensitive to hair colouring products due to allergies and find the ventilation system effective. I have been very pleased with this salon. read more

Amazing. After hanging out with my sister and seeing her gorgeous haircut, I was deeply desiring a new look and maybe, just maybe, a hint of color. So when my friend told me she had found a new spot in our neighborhood and was getting her hair done, I decided to give it a try. And I was more than thrilled! Claudia and her team were incredible. The cut, the color and the ambiance (plus the 4 cups of amazing tea) were simply out of this world. I have colored my hair only 3 times in my whole life (this makes the 4th) and am really hesitant to do anything too permanent to my hair. Not only did Claudia understand what I wanted (more than I did), she showed me new techniques that matched my low maintenance, world traveler vibe. I highly recommend popping in for a cut, color and style. The prices are great and Claudia is magical! read more

Worst experience of my life. The girl seemed like she had been up all night on drugs. Actually stopped the haircut at the end and apologized she didn't know how to finish a simple men's caeser cut. I walked out without paying. She pulled my hair out saying her scissors weren't sharp. Complained the desk gave her a men's cut. Admitted she didn't know how to use clippers, and cut the back of my neck with them. Complete train wreck. This reflects on the salons management and hiring policies. Don't be fooled. I'm really upset. Experience made my skin crawl. She even talked about being sick for the last three months, while breathing all over me during the cut. Perhaps change your lifestyle. read more

I recently moved to the city and was looking for a new colourist. I had read great reviews on this salon, so called and had a bayalage appointment with Anya. I arrived for my appointment and waited 40 minutes. Her previous client had extremely long hair I was told after inquiring. I was a little upset, but can understand that things happen out of our control. When Anya came to greet me - there was no apology and her attitude was that of a "I'm tired, what would you like done" demenour. My hair is extremely healthy- I've been told that from many colourists. The ends of my bangs were a bit damaged from flat ironing my hair while it was a bit damp last week. My bad:( She was clearly not in the mood to do a bayalage, as she told me my hair was too damaged ( I'm not even blonde) and proceeded to tell she could do my roots today only. Never had I been told this. My hair is seriously very healthy. She just stood there in silence and kept shaking her head, No. It was very awkward. I felt she was rude and that she was tired and no energy once so ever- at least the impression she was giving me. I DO NOT recommend this salon. read more

I have been a client of Flaunt for over 5 years. I have occasionally strayed and tried other salons (more so due to convenience rather than looking for something better) but I always keep coming back. I always see Kelsie and she is amazing, especially with blondes. She is thorough, meticulous and knows how to highlight and color in a way that makes my hair look natural but polished. I highly recommend this salon. read more

I came here on a Saturday morning, and Saturdays are always busy due to everyone being off. I'm from America, but I stayed in Toronto last summer with my cousins. I need a place to do my hair while before this dinner party and they did an amazing job. They have drinks for you to drink while you wait.Customer service was excellent, and the outcome of my hair was so beautiful! I definitely will be back next time Im over there. read more

I walked in Saturday morning and they were able to offer me a time slot with Kevin later in the afternoon. Considering how busy Saturday's are, I was grateful for the accommodation. Kevin did a fantastic job and i would return back in a second. Lovely salon, clean and efficient. It was a very pleasurable experience for a walk by ! read more
