Mariah takes top notch care of these horses and her lessons have grown our riding and ground work knowledge exponentially. The community she has developed for horse girls and horse women has been such a blessing! I came to Unbridled Spirit originally, because they offer learning on many different types of horses and I love "gaited" horses, which are seldom offered for lessons. With Stephanie McGlothlin as my instructor, I actually learned not just to be a more confident and competent rider, but how to actually "build a relationship" with my horse! What an incredible joy it is to build that bond! The confidence and skills that I have gained in a short time have taken place through lessons, but also, through the targeted clinics and workshops that focus on certain skills and approaches, such as "Liberty." I cannot recommend Stephanie and Unbridled Spirit more highly!

She takes time to explain everything even if you didn't understand the first or second time. Her passion for horseback riding is contagious. She offers tools to learn and implement when working with your horse rather than bandaids for crazy horse behavior. Her horses are patient and kind and I can't wait to bring back my whole family. I could keep going but don't take it from me. Go and see for yourself what you are lacking in your horse connection! You'll be glad you did.

When I explored the world of training, I found out that there are various theories and techniques and trying to sort them out and absorb them all seemed overwhelming and confusing. I wanted to preserve the connection I had established with my mules, but train them to have a function. When I met Penny, I could tell that she was very knowledgeable across disciplines and training styles. Having had sessions and workshops with her, I now know what a wealth of knowledge she has and what a good teacher she is. I am so grateful I found a teacher that is insightful, caring and knowledgeable and doesn't undermine my learning process with her ego.

I asked for a full refund as my son was not interested in any of the other camps being offered during that week. I did not get a response until 7/31 when they told me they were unable to give me a refund but I could have a credit for future classes or book another class, again I reiterated he was not interested. I called their location again 8/6 asking to speak to a manager because I am still in shock that I cannot get a refund for services they never provided and cancelled. Again I was told that this is their policy in their "handbook" but I asked them where on their website does it say they will not be able to refund classes they cancelled. They provided my number to the owner of this location who called and left a voicemail wanting to speak with me. Icode Cibolo, do better. You lost a customer due to your lack of professionalism and poor communication. I've decided to dispute this with my credit card company at this point because I have more trust in their competence and that they will handle this in a more timely manner.
