This place is a major RIP OFF! I was riding my motorcycle and stopped in to get some gas, I park at the closest pumps to the office, my card did not work outside, I go inside, he says "sure I can start it for you". I pump gas, as I'm pumping I noticed it's $1 more then posted. I go inside and tell the guy I was charged extra... he says "you're in the full service pump". I said "why didn't you tell me when I gave you the card" he says "I thought you were in a hurry". Total BS!! they are dishonest here and crooks. Why would anyone pump "full service" on a motorcycle. Terrible Terrible customer service. Very dishonest. read more

It should be illegal for a gas station to not be open when it says it is. This gas station does not open till 6. I got off work at 4:00am hoping to get gas and had to wait 2 hours for someone to come in. The owners should be held accountable. read more

I was just robbed at this gas station in broad daylight. Pulled up at the pump and went to start pumping. An employee suddenly appears and asks you to pay inside. He takes the nozzle from me and starts pumping. That's how they trap you into paying an extra $1 per gallon for a service you never requested or agreed to. What a thoroughly dishonest buisness. SHAME ON YOU. GET YOUR GAS SOMEWHERE ELSE read more

Careful at this gas station. Just pumped over $100 of gas and I pulled the pumped out and put it back got in the car and went back to get the receipt from the pump and it kept charging me. told the attendant and all he said was that I can give you the receipt if you want. What a joke. read more

Their pumps hold $100 for DAYS if you use a card outside. When I called in about it the cashier was rude and smug about it. I will avoid this place at all costs. I thought it was the chevron and called there. With them I had the option to tell him transaction time and they could complete the sale. I've never heard of a gas station keeping a pending hold for so long on a transaction that is over in minutes. Then telling you with a straight face they take days to complete a sale and can't alter the process. AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

My ass 24/7 open! It's 10:17pm on a Saturday and it's closed!!!! I need gas ASAP and there is none open for miles and this dude wouldn't help me! Closed all the pumps and they have a sign that pay inside only! If I run out of gas before I get to the next one I will make this guy pay, I'm livid! read more

Unocal 76 Station - Gas Stations Near Me - Malibu, California

This is the fourth time that I came by this station, unfortunately there's not that many gas stations in Malibu on PCH. Every time that I've stopped here for some reason, or another it just seems that they go out of their way not to help... the first time I came here, I went to use the ATM and asked them if it was working because when I tried using it, it was not dispensing money so the guy said to me, that it doesn't work, It hasn't been working for a long time... so I come to find out I was using an old ATM card. When I tried it again immediately after and it worked. That was number one the second and third time I asked if I could use the air hose to put air into my tire that was a little low. The guy came almost running out to say, no it doesn't work... when I get back into my car to leave another car pulled up in the full-service part of the station and they came out and serviced it. You guessed it, they used the air... so I would love to say that I am not going to come here anymore, by being that there are no gas stations out in Malibu on PCH. It's gonna be kind of tough to completely stay clear of this gas station. read more

Seriously one of the worst customer service ever. Basically stoled $80 from my father. He gave the wrong number when he was gonna pump gas not even in 10 seconds. He went back inside and told the lady. Which she is extremely rude and loud for no reason I went today and behalf of my dad to resolve the issue since it was $80. I told her I was there for my dad and she started yelling acting crazy. I came in peace had my kids. And she just started yelling for no reason making no sense. She was yelling in front of a lot of customers I just left. Another employee approached me and told me did you get your $40 the owner was going to give you and I said no why didn't she tell me she could've just said hey here's $40 from mistakes that went both ways but she was just acting like a b**** so he asked me if I wanted the $40 and I said yes he went back inside and was there for a couple minutes and he came back saying that they were not going to give me no more money I just left. I'm not one to judge a complaint ever her personality is Jose ugly. I will give this zero stars if I can. read more

Went on a beach walk and needed to use the restroom. Extremely convenient and no problem handing them my ID (which they hold until you return the absurdly long metal pipe, to which the restroom key is attached). However, no soap in the dirty restroom, and no reaction from the counter employee upon hearing this news. I'm sure they have gone catatonic from dealing with just as many restroom customers as those wanting to pump gas. Bring your own hand sanitizer. Only if absolutely necessary. read more

Arizona prints 99 cents on their cans of juice and tea for a reason. So retailers can't try to screw you over when purchasing their product. Take stickers marked "$2.25" over all the 99s on your can of green tea as a sign that this place is a money trap. Their bathroom is nasty. Their gas prices are insane. If you're desperate, get a gallon and roll on to the next station, which would probably be cheaper. read more

Some of the worst people work there. Plain and simple - they are rude, inconsiderate and will chase you off property (literally). They screamed and yelled at my fiancée and threatened to tow her car because she was standing outside the facility, after buying an energy drink from their store. It's sounds like sitcom, it's not. They're laughably terrible people. We'll never forget their horrible attitudes. read more

Horrible customer service and they are ripping people off. I stopped for gas and some refreshments paid at the counter when I went to pump gas I was charged $4.89 per gallon. The sign outside said gas was $4.09 per gallon but because I was at a pump they had a paper sign on it that read full-Service I was charge for $4.89per gallon. The girl inside charge me never told me that I was going to pay for full-service when I was doing everything myself. If she would've told me I would've moved my car. I went inside to ask her and she said there's nothing I can do for you, she told me I should've read the sign. read more

I can continually say that I get really great service here. The coffee is always fresh. The station is always clean. YOUR GAS. EXPLODED ON ME. Wouldn't have cared but THEN they didn't even let me use the bathroom to wash my hands? I'm just here, covered in gas? So mad I could scream. Screw all of you. Can 0 Stars be an option? I understand that feel is going to be more expensive here... It is Malibu and there are limited gas stations. So that's to be expected. But to be treated rude and disrespected from the staff is really unfortunate. I would avoid this service center at all cost read more

Okay, I get it. You're on PCH and you're one of the few gas stations on this highway for quite some time. But, you don't have to be a fucking asshole about it, gas station. I think I've seen cleaner restroom floors inside of a septic tank. Could you be bothered at all to just pop in and maybe check on it, possibly mop it a bit, unstop drains, and restock. Maybe install one of those handy-dandy self-spraying air fresheners that are so cheap that I have one in my living room? No, well, then, poor representation of an otherwise good gas company, I will not be patronizing your rip-off establishment and will partake of the Chevron up/down the way. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. When my friend and I came in around 1am, we went straight to the bathroom. A middle-aged woman worker immediately started banging on the door yelling at us to get out because there could only be 1 person per bathroom. As we apologized and tried to hurry, she kept yelling and threatened to kick us out or call the cops. After us only being in there for under 2 mins, my friend had to leave the room with me still in there (even though there was no sign that said the rule she was stating). When we finally started walking out, she chased us out the entire store continuously yelling at us and saying we were not welcome back to her store (she might be the owner). And we kept walking not engaging, and she continued to call me a "f**king hoe" and yell at me until we got in our car. We were physically and verbally threatened by her to an extreme extent and this behavior should NEVER be allowed in any workplace. I am beyond upset and disappointed with this encounter. I wish she would be fired or removed for absolutely inappropriate and bully behavior. Wow. read more

The advertised price for regular gas shown from the highway was $3.99/ Gal. When I pulled in and started pumping my gas after $40.00 spent I realized on the pump it was charging me $4.99/ Gal. When I went inside to ask the clerk, he angrily and rude fully said to me that I was in the Full Service side. Why the hell then did no one show up to offer full service when I pulled up and had been there for several minutes? There was a 'tiny little" sign hidden on the pump that said full serve. Very deceitful and in my opinion quite fraudulent. Will NEVER go there again. BUYER BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Sucks, $3 for a bottle or water and they said the bathroom is out of service. When I looked at him and said, "Really"? He said his partner is using it right now and I could use it after so I don't think it is out of service. They just don't want to clean it. Don't stop here! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! So RUDE! My husband and I pulled up to use the restroom and pumped gas. They required for you to leave your ID in order to get the key to the disgusting piss smelling restroom. Also there was no more toilet papers. Not only that there was a Caucasian male who used the restroom for me and didn't purchase ANYTHING, but the male attendant mentioned that I needed to purchase something to use the restroom. Talk about discrimination! Too bad I couldn't give it zero stars. read more

I love 76 gas stations, they became irrelevant in Cleveland 15-20 yrs ago. Growing up, I remember seeing the super-tall 76 ball spinning from a distance on the highways. When I came to CA I was amazed to see they're everywhere. Still have their spinning red 76 ball, just like the good old days! It was like a blast from the past seeing this again. Ill pay the extra to stop at this gas station, especially this specific one in Malibu. As if everything in Malibu isn't pricey already. Outrageously pricey, given its location, no one should be complaining. Glad to see 76 is still kicking'!!! read more

Worst gas station ive ever seen. Super expensive dirty and rude. I asked to park there for 10min after i get $20 gas. The old spanish man said no park. i dont care. read more

F this place. Paid .80 more per gallon because this place does "full service" and has no signage...

No gas came out of the pump, but was still charged $20. Attendant was rude and wouldn't refund.

Really, if you can try to avoid this place. It's the most expensive gas in Malibu at all times. The prices of the snacks and drinks inside the store are the highest you'll ever see anywhere else. The owner must think this place is like an oasis and there's no other station around for hundreds of miles. About 4mi West on PCH there's a gas station on Heathercliff. Go there. read more

Worst port o potty I've seen in my life; I refused to pee in it. Do not waste your time stopping to pee here.

I was only in this area seeing a client and stopped in to get some gas, but when I asked to use the restroom I was told many stories about it. The cashier was just plain rude, it was not like I was badly dressed or a non paying customer. I was told that thier were no restrooms and that they were broken. I was also told to go pee in the bushes or in the ocean. If I ever go back it will be to get more info on this place and on the rude person that was behind the counter. read more

Its a gas station. Convenient to pick up some snacks and a drink while we re-fueled. As many other Yelpers wrote it seems to be a bit overpriced all around from the fuel to food. Malibu is like our second home so we have come to expect the inflated prices but these were a bit much. I think they attempt to take advantage of the tourist market maybe? Overall if you are in a pinch and need to grab some snacks and fuel its ok, otherwise I'd try the Shell closer to the pier. read more

I went to this HORRIBLE gas station and the prices were way to high!!! 17 dollars for a regular size sunscreen bottle and when we actually went to put it on it didn't work. I went back asked for a refund mind you this whole time this blonde bitch was so rude rolling her eyes and shit and the other 2 employees are eating their meals so after she told me sorry since you paid with a debit card we can't give you a refund and I was in shock this is a 76 gas station and they don't know how to do refunds or use Apple Pay which all 76 have now and all I kept saying was I want a refund. She looks so annoyed but I didn't care it was ridiculous I was getting my refund so they ended up giving me cash and she was the rudest person I have ever encountered as if it's my fault this 35 yr old women works at a gas station like she chose this sad life so at least be happy about it fuck you assholes read more

Is negative stars possible? Don't be a fool at this gas station and read their extra fine print... they have two prices: one side is self service, the other is full service, but really no one came out to pump your gas and you still get charged for full service prices. When I asked the cashier why I got over charged, he said it was because I was on the full-service side. Kind of f'd up if you ask me. read more

To be clear, this is the 76 station at PCH and Corral Canyon. Let me say this is by far the most convenient location for me, however not once since I have lived here have I ever stopped or purchased gasoline at this location. Put this next to A&B Plumbing and PC Greens Grocery for a trifecta of local greed. The absurdly high prices they have over even other local Malibu stations (which are far higher than in Santa Monica or T.O.) is ridiculous. I'm sure the owner of this station is proud they are able to stick it to the tourists. I will continue to drive on. read more

Went to clean my windshield and some gross brown slime got smeared all over my windshield. I asked the attendant for some papertowels to clean it off (since the squeegee side was busted). The attendant proceeded to inform me that it would cost $5 per towel. After I reasonably asked again for a towel, since the price was outrageous, the man told me to stop being a wise guy and get the hell out of his shop. Bottom line this place needs a serious upgrade and a major attitude change. Two thumbs way, wayyyy down. read more
