I will never give anything less than five stars for this college. Firing the professor? I have not only been ignored by my teachers, but the administration is rude. I am coming up on a deadline to register for fall/summer classes, and I had refreshed my emails and messages for weeks looking for instructions. I had even called the school and emailed my advisor once I finally found out who she was. In the end, I had to contact the advising office to get a group email sent out so that I could get a response. This woman proceeded to say that she has tried multiple times to contact me (I have no messages from her), say this is a recurring pattern (this is my first semester here and i have never received any messages from her this entire semester), and ask the other administrator how they should address this as if I'm not in the email as well. She also asks if she should send proof, which I would appreciate from her because I missed my mandatory group advising due to this. In my opinion, this is highly unprofessional and the amount of miscommunication and lack of responses from the staff at this school does not reflect the quality of service they offer.

As Texas's oldest Catholic university, the institution blends historical significance with an accessible and personalized campus atmosphere. Academically, St. Mary's is recognized for excellence in business, law, science, and criminal justice, consistently earning high rankings for value in the Western region. A notable advantage of St. Mary's is its small class sizes and low student-faculty ratio, facilitating the establishment of meaningful relationships between students and professors. The 135-acre urban campus offers expansive green spaces and maintains a traditional collegiate ambiance within a metropolitan location. The university's status as a Marianist and Hispanic-Serving Institution is evident in its commitment to service, social justice, and community engagement.

They informed the parents that we no longer needed to keep close tabs on our children cause, and I quote "they got it" and that they would keep a close eye on the students to make sure they were adjusting well to leaving home. They said the teachers and staff would keep an eye for changes in grades and personality, well that did not happen, at least not to us. It started with poor wifi connection for the students with glitches in their system that caused assessments to get lost. My kid was a straight A student and by the end of the semester she had low Cs and and a F. Needless to say, I was shocked. I know that most of the blame lays on my kid but I wish the school would of reached out to my kid to see what's going on. Now we're struggling with getting the grades up and trying to not lose her scholarship. Praying we don't cause if she does, we will have to drop out.

It's located in the heart of San Antonio, features gorgeous, inviting architecture, and is small enough to foster a sense of community. Many of the older buildings at the Main Campus are cold and brutalistic, a stark contrast to the three gorgeous, warm, inviting buildings at the Downtown Campus. I never had an opportunity to attend classes Downtown, but I would have relished the opportunity to study at one of the many bright, comfortable break nooks located on every floor of the Buena Vista, Frio, and Durango buildings. The staff I've met at the library and computer labs seem to genuinely enjoy working there, a sentiment shared among students and visitors. I make an effort to visit the library whenever I'm near Market Square. The Downtown Campus is currently home to only two colleges (Architecture and Public Policy), but I've read that President Eighmy plans to add several more programs in the near future. Downtown San Antonio has seen many revitalization efforts in recent years, so it's fitting that the city's most important university would follow suit. Downtown UTSA has been open for twenty years now. Here's to twenty more!

You advisor clicking away to put your schedule together and seems to know what going on. As a novice student, you trust is in their hands. 2nd semester, they don't necessarily push the core classes but push the courses you've agreed to per the agreed degree plan. Note some degree plans are not for a novice student. Their intro classes should require remedial intro classes but their systems do not reflect this. As an adult, a bunch of leg work was required. Naturally chiefs of depts were contacted and informed of this dilemma.. As an adult, to have to voice your troubles, the inconsistency, the professors who prefer to discuss their personal lives and not focus on assessments or grade timely (but I guess this is their standard) There are feedback surveys for students, but no matter the issues/complaints/concerns addressed, this professor remains employed. Now due to his procrastination l of not grading. To be contacted on spring break to be told to complete more assignments by Sunday is irresponsible on his part. This has been reported. If an assignment has been submitted but does not appear... that's an IT issue but evidently just falls back on the student. Those student from high school don't always voice their issues or concerns which I'd the main reason they fail or drop out. The purpose of advisors should be able prevent this, right? I've met adults who still don't voice their issues in class. Be It troubles me to see so many not speak up for themselves (im aware of personality types and those who prefer just wing it, then their are our children, or other fam mars trying to start a new career) To fail and waste time and money. There has to be a better way to guide these students. They have a mentorship program but I'm not familiar with how that gets started. Not actually advertised as I figured it out while trying to address this dilemma. Always a beautiful spot. Students more than staff have offered to guide me where to go. Apparently when you hit a certain age, you're not offered a tour or guide of this beautiful campus. If this wasn't a flag on how these semesters would go. To transfer or not to transfer. Hopefully all is address in the b no ext few weeks
