I have been enrolled in the University of Metaphysical Sciences for the last couple of years. I very HIGHLY recommend it for those who wish to expand their awareness as well as UNDERSTANDING, and practical application of the topics offered at this distance learning institution. PLEASE NOTE: My opinions are formulated from my own experiences and studies of over 70 years. My studies have encompassed books and courses in metaphysics and metaphysical churches (several) as well as physics, mathematics, psychology, religion, literature, computer science, foreign language, became certified in construction management, and studied political science and world and US history. In order to accomplish that "feat", I had to attend several "accredited" universities during the years my husband moved me and our children all over the USA because of his employment as a Civil Engineer. During THAT period of my life I attempted to secure an "accredited" degree. (i.e. Wilson Jr. College, College of the Desert, Oceanside-Carlsbad Jr. College, University of IL, San Jose State University, and University of Hawaii... not necessarily in THAT order). Nevertheless, unfortunately when my husband died at the young age of 52, I needed to become "gainfully" employed. So WHAT does this have to do with UMS? UMS has been both my inspiration and my anchor to ground me and stabilize me by introducing to me HOW TO USE my own mental and spiritual ENERGY I sorely needed over the years I was a widow so I could heal myself physically, mentally, and spiritually. "YES" heal myself "physically". I haven't needed to visit a medical doctor for decades. Furthermore, I am now remarried to a wonderful, supportive man (I learned HOW to attract a new mate through metaphysics) with whom I can share these metaphysical energies. UMS IS "NOT" FOR THE FAINT OF HEART who are seeking to support themselves with a huge salary and/or societal accolades. Nevertheless UMS "is" instead a place to EDUCATE oneself in methods and principles that span 1000's of years ... methods and principles ... that when used "properly" show a person HOW to utilize ones OWN higher mental and spiritual capacities to MANIFEST happiness, health, and sufficient abundance for the necessities of Life. STILL want ONLY an accredited university? OK ... better find at least $30,000 a year to get THEIR accredited degree and then HOPE that you can pay back your student LOAN by the time you reach MY age. I enrolled my metaphysical studies in May 2016 started pursuing my study at Bachelor's degree level and subsequently completed at Master degree level with a minimum 5000 words thesis submission under review. Currently, I am working towards my 10,000 words Doctoral dissertation. Throughout the course, I enjoy receiving well-researched in-depth course materials covering a wide range of metaphysical subject written by passionate authors and writers of UMS. I was surprised to read this other review. This university is accredited by; AADP, American Association Of Drugless Practitioners http://www.aadp.net AAMA, American Alternative Medical Association http://www.joinaama.com I just started courses and the staff and material is excellent. And the courses are focused on knowledge of meditation studies and background. As well as identifying personality types. You cant expect much from any metaphysical schools in the aspect of wanting government approved and reparability by their standards. The government will only approve schools that involve the major subjects. and do not support any free thinking. The founder has a clean record so who cares if they have a church... Anything to do with God or a higher power and people seem to freak out and run away. But it is the most constant thing in the history of mankind... yet people are scared of it and only do what the government condones. If you are interested in attending a school that teaches you about yourself, others, as well as the history of religion, meditation and energies; I would recommend this school. read more

I love the University of Metaphysical Sciences! I received a Bachelor's degree several years ago and almost completed my Master's. I had to put it on hold for a while because of other demands in my life. There's never been any pressure for me to complete asap. The staff is very understanding, supportive and encouraging. The best part of this school is that you work at your own pace, online. The tuition is very affordable for such a well organized and large course. Christine Breeze has done an amazing job at organizing and developing the material for the various courses offered. There are several degrees to choose from, all related to metaphysics and spirituality. Although I took my tests online, I chose to receive hard copies in the mail of the entire course, and I keep these preciously on my bookshelf, so that I can go back and refer to various subjects easily. I can't recommend this course highly enough. It's been a real treat and privilege to be part of the University of Metaphysical Sciences, where students and staff alike are kind, loving, open minded spiritual people. read more

University of Metaphysical Sciences (UMS) is one of the few trustworthy schools available offering degree programs where one can learn in-depth about Metaphysical Topics, Religion & Spirituality. I was skeptical before I started my Bachelor Degree studies but was impressed with the diversity and breadth of topics, staff and instructor support and ability to distance study vs. taking several years to travel back and forth to attend classes in another State or City. I completed my Doctorate Degree in Spiritual Counseling in 2009 and was able to directly apply my education to both my healing practice and my personal life. I have a Bachelor Degree in Physics from a State University but was unable to find a degree education source for my Metaphysical Interests until I discovered UMS. The fact that UMS is still operating a decade after I graduated is a testament to the important work they are performing and the valuable service provided to their students. read more

I have tremendously enjoyed my experience at UMS. I have just submitted my Master's Thesis and will begin working on my PhD. I have loved the self paced format and found the subject matter and reference materials very interesting, thorough with a very robust list of resources for further reading and study. I already have a Bachelor's degree and 2 Master's degrees including an MBA. These degrees from UMS are a labor of love for me to be able to be certified in Holistic coaching. I have always wanted to get my Phd and now I will be able to. I look forward to writing my dissertation and leveraging it for a book and online course to follow. I have found the staff to be highly responsive to my calls and very loving and supportive. I worked out a payment plan and it has always worked for my budget. UMS is professional, ethical and well run being led and staffed by people who are responsive and genuinely caring. I was drawn in by the desire to add some knowledge around my interest in metaphysics. The course content and choices are fantastic and really provide a unique and broad baseline, whilst providing you with the material to go as deep as you want. Whilst my interest was personal development the opportunity to overlap into professional development and service to others is definitely possible, when informed and inspired by the course material. Being accredited is a definite boon in establishing the validity of your learning. Whilst any course involving distance learning requires the learner to be self resilient, disciplined and self-directed, the support that is available via the office staff and various social media groups will add real value to some if and when needed. read more

I agree with Ms. D. Over the last year I have been researching Metaphysics schools; and the courses offered through UMS is actually perfect for what Im looking for... its not all witchcraft crap at all... I think its great that they have reiki and the enneagram as part of the program. I think I will register this year. They staff is awesome too. And I dont care if they have a church- as long as it has a clean rep. And Metaphysics is about spirituality isn't it... so why is this surprising? I do think they should changes the purple website- it does make it look kinda cheap.. but In my opinion what they offer seems better than the competitors. I started with the UMS program in late 2019. The courses are wonderful, all interesting and well-written, complete with meditations and recommended reading, and all Very affordable (I imagine because the founder isn't governed by greed). It's so much for the money: on top of the courses themselves, the personal time and attention that the Exam Proctor and advisors spend helping students to become the best that we can be on the deepest levels so we are equipped on all levels to be Healers and Lights with integrity AND skill and personal development. Healing begins with the self, and we are coached and guided with each meditation commentary submitted; and I feel that I have grown more in the past six months than in any other "growth spurts" in my life. This is a powerful life changing program for anybody seeking spiritual and consciousness path. Including education on alternative holistic health. I have attended public community college, state university, and private non profit schools through a variety of completed programs. Some of which are considered Ivy league institutions. This program at University of Metaphysical Sciences both meets and exceeds the quality of education I have experienced from the diversity of institutions. It is different, but it is priceless. I went through UMS 7 years ago and found it to be one of the best decisions of my life. The program was enlightening on all levels and I really grew and expanded my Knowledge and awareness. Prior to UMS I attended and graduated from comminity college, ASU and career specific graduate schools, UMS is the only University I have found that lets you explore all of Metaphysical Sciences in depth and encourages extra exploration into subjects you never realized you were interested in! My decision to take this course has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has changed my life. I thought I was fairly knowledgeable about metaphysical things, but I have learned about fields that I had never heard of. I feel I have leveled up several times since I began my studies. I've been a student with UMS for sometime now, as I'm taking my dandy time, but that's part of what I love. It's self paced. There's no pressure to finish by a certain time and there have been moments where the staff has checked in on me if there was long gaps between me completing courses!
