They allow bullying and abuse with no consequences and victim blaming is a regular thing. If you have the courage to bring a problem to the admin, you will be gaslight and dismissed. We went here for 7 years before we realized how awful it really was. There were a lot of red flags I wish we would have left years before. There were students in 4th grade that weren't able to read. They claim to have a wellness policy and then feed the kids junk food. It's clicky, fake community mostly that doesn't authentically support each other. Cant unrecommended enough. This school harms children and families in serious ways

There is so many great things to focus on - lots of great activities, great academics, great kids, and great families. It is a beautiful environment with plenty of room for the kids to play outside. The teachers are accessible, mostly very friendly, and mostly super willing to help your child. Also, because it is a K-8 there is a great mixture of ages which I think can help the youngers as well as the olders. Of course, there have been moments that didn't go perfectly, but I think that should go without saying as there are bound to be difficulties in any setting. While the academics are vigorous, I wouldn't say that the pace of work is for everyone. Not only the children, but often the families need to be deeply involved in the kid's work to make sure they are staying on pace. It can be challenging, but, again, in our experience, it has been a fantastic place. As a family, we're very grateful to have found JCS.

This fundraiser had lots of decent goods along with a bake sale - I usually go to scan through the books and have had tremendous success on recent visits. The folks that volunteer for this event area all friendly and kind, they are even set up with a card reader to make transactions easier on people.
