The Pharmacy Assistant Course was terrible. The instructor did not even know the course material or…read moresyllabus. The course material was from a New Jersey based company. I paid the 1,200$ for the course through a payment plan (three installment) that was tied to the New Jersey company that provided the course materials. When I tried to withdraw from the course after the first two sessions, it became a whole story from the CR administration with the New Jersey Company, and like a fool, I complied and stayed in hoping that it would come right. I should have absolutely gotten out of this class and cancelled payment to these crooks. My expectations were based on previous courses that I had taken through the CR Community and economic development program. I had taken both professional and recreational courses and had gained from them both. The previous course that I'd taken included the certification and the testing to get into the career. The Pharmacy assistant course did not, and to make matters worse, to take the test for National certification, I will have to travel to Santa Rosa or Redding. To be fair about it, I should have checked all of these things before I enrolled. The cost of this course far exceeded any benefit, especially considering that it is not necessary to complete a credited Pharm. Tech program to take the National exam. I figure that I could have followed the advice of a friend and done this online and saved myself a considerable amount of money. I did meet some good people though the course, and in ways, I have to be responsible for my own lack of discretion based on the trust that I had for the CR Community and Economic Dev. Program. I would not say to not take any courses from this group, but I would absolutely not recommend the Pharmacy Tech. program, and to be much more scrupulous and cautious if you to consider taking any class from , not only the Economic and Development program in Downtown Eureka, but any College of the Redwoods class or course. From my experience that I tried to describe above, I question the institutional integrity of College of the Redwoods. It's not usually my style to chime in on this type of format, but I feel that it would be morally wrong not to warn people of the recent experience that I had at CR Community Education and Economic Development Program.

Does this sound like an instructor you want teaching your kids?

How did I change and overcome my fear? I was in the care of the Eureka Driving School, my instructor was Larry and he taught me that being calm and collected within myself was important. I was taught the mechanics of driving within small scenarios on the streets of Eureka (which was my biggest issue) then he would take me on long drives which helped my nerves. The sights and the repetitive motion of handling the car allowed me to become more comfortable in what I was doing. Trust me. Once your naturally readjusting your speed and checking your mirrors, then more focus on the road is offered which puts you in more control of the situation. Always know as well that your instructor is there to help and guide you. When it came to the drivers test. I had a previous prep which I highly recommend for everyone because it's sort of a sneak peak. For the confidence and support of Larry to be there for me from the start and finish. So I passed! I wouldn't have done so if it wasn't for the kind and respectable Eureka driving school so parents, if you want your children to be in a safe environment and learn how to drive instead of learning to do loops in the parking lot then this is the place for you. Everyone else, look into these lessons. It's worth the pay and your time, I assure you.
