ZERO STARS would be ideal. I stopped by today, Sunday September 7th on my way from San Luis Obispo to LA. I got gas and went inside to get a soda and a snack. The sign inside the cooler said two (2) 16oz bottles of coke for $4.59 if you are part of their rewards program when you buy 2 16oz bottles of coke you get the 3rd bottle free. I got 3 bottles and a bag of sunflowers. Went to the register and the older Hispanic man behind the counter said $11.59. I was surprised so I mentioned that the sign said two bottles for $4.59 and if you are a member of their rewards, the third bottle is free. So he said oh OK enter your number, (which I believe that should be the first thing he should ask when you walk up to the register, but that's just me). So I entered my number and the new total is $11.29. So I said the total hasn't changed too much. The three bottles should be $4.59 plus the $3.19 for the sunflowers plus tax. His reply was well I don't know, so WHATEVER. Whatever? Really? That's your reply?!. Too bad I had already pumped gas, otherwise I would not have given them my business. Needless to say I did not get the soda or the sunflowers, I went to the next gas station. He was very rude, I always think if you're not happy with your job find a new one specially when you're dealing with customers. read more

I've been coming for a month daily before work and sometimes after and she's the only one who does this I just got charged $5 more on an item I've been getting daily. not sure why she's working there or at all if she doesn't understand English or Spanish fully. read more

I'm not a confrontational person at all - but the man working at this store was so aggressive I had to verbally defend myself. I paid cash for my gas (part of which was quarters) - he made a big deal about it and got in my face when I said "money is money right?" I had an oil leak so I called a few gas stations around. Not from the area. The man who answered the phone said they had the oil I needed. I got there and did NOT have it. When I confronted him about not having the oil on the phone he said "then don't call here" which made absolutely no sense. It isn't always the cheapest (quite the contrary) but I used to have a Chevron card so this was a no brainer. Not only did I come to this location for gas but for food, Reality Bites style. No joke. I remember coming home with bags full of groceries. Snacks more like it... I was a regular here and it is the most convenient place to fill gas whether you want to admit it or not. DO NOT BUY GAS HERE. It is so expensive while there are cheaper gas stations no more than 2 miles away. Even if your gas light is on, walk to another gas station if you have to and buy a gallon before you come here. It isn't worth it. The only thing this gas station can be useful for, like any other gas station, is to check the air on your tires. In California, air is free! If I could give 0 stars for this gas station/mini mart I would. The heavyset younger man with overgrown facial hair (usually has headphones on, sweaty and dirty looking) is seriously THE rudest person and has zero people skills . So impolite, it's off the charts. Acting as if he hates his life and wanta to share his negative energy with any unfortunate customer who walks in. The customer service is almost always terrible with the exception of 1 employee who has reddish/light hair. He is the ONLY employee that is nice and professional. There was also a female employee who was cursing at people when I stopped to get gas a couple of months ago. She seemed high on something....super frantic as if on some type of drug or ? It's no wonder people are being replaced more & more by technology. At least if things are automated we will no longer have to be subjected to these type of people. Not only do they charge a lot more than anyone else in town, they rig their pumps! I had to go due to an emergency, I thought that a gallon or so would get me enough to stop beeping. I squeezed the pump for less than a few seconds (maybe 15) and it said 1.6 gallon. i thought that's the fastest pump I've ever used! but it turns out that didn't even move my gas gauge one bit. I have a prius so it's pretty easy to tell. They rob you on the price per gallon and at the meter. And they haven't done anything to fix the place up! There are pot holes everywhere. This place stole $18.26 from my daughter! And they won't even pick up their phone!!! She paid for gas using Apple Pay which they accept! The money was taken from her account and she was even able to show him that on her phone. But he told her is was declined and he would not give her the gas she paid for. He was also very rude to her! She then went out to the pump and it was working so she figured it must have gone through. Then the attendant comes running out yelling at HER! EVEN THOUGH HE made a mistake and added the gas to the wrong pump number! He told her she had to stop pumping and then pay him $6.50 that she had pumped into her car. "She said I already paid $18.26!! I don't have any money. I can't pay you" he made her call her friend and bring the money. Refused to give her $18.26 back! Very clean gas station and never too packed! They are a small store and don't carry a whole lot of of mini mart goods. Overall Cheveron has good quality gas and works best for my MDX. Today this place was charging $0.55 a gallon more for regular than the shell on Carrillo St in the pricey downtown district of Santa Barbara. BEWARE! Always print your receipt. Gas stations are hot spots for card readers. Used my credit card here one morning and it had no balance on it. Too over priced. They overcharge because it is one of the first gas stations (or last) when entering or leaving the Santa Barbara area. People are not super friendly but weren't bad.
