A visitor repeatedly looked into/lingered around my dad's room, and when my mom politely asked her to stop, she became confrontational and followed my mom (who uses a cane) off the elevator and down a corridor. We felt unsafe. We felt worried for my dad, who was in an extremely vulnerable state. We reported it immediately to the head of security and later submitted a formal complaint asking what would be done to prevent further contact. We felt as if my dad needed constant family supervision. The response was generic and dismissive, and came via snail mail only after he was discharged a week later. We felt like the head of security, Giovanni Rodriguez, didn't take this HIPAA violation and security scare seriously. I'm sure I'll get a vague or generic response from them again in yelp, if at all. You can't silence me.

Thanks to all the staff, too numerous to name, for the care and thoughtfulness they gave my Dad.

He's…read morecurrently battling cancer and his doctor at UCLA has been taking great care of him but this came out of no where. He was seen after waiting longer than he should have for chest pain. They did some lab work and did some CT scans. He arrived a little after 10am and was not seen by a doctor go to over his results and stuff until after 3pm. They finally admitted him because of fluid build up on the lungs. The nurses were very kind and attentive while we were there with him, that's the reason I gave them a second star. However, he was there for almost 3 days and barely got any sleep. He said the nurses at the desk were watching videos or something and he could hear their videos and them laughing all night on top of them having to come check his blood sugar and everything every 2 hours. That part is fine, they should be checking regularly but keeping patients up by laughing and watching videos is crazy. When he was in the hospital at UCLA they turned out the lights at night and the nurses never made a sound other than walking around to check on patients. I'm an Adventist patient myself and I really like my GP but this hospital needs to get some things in better order. The lobby looks dirty, only 1 elevator works right now, there is just a lot going on that needs improvement. Hopefully they get it together and make some positive changes soon.

I told the doctor I had a kidney stone and in addition to that my foot was also swollen to the point where I couldn't even walk on it. The doctor takes a look at my foot and says Yep it's swollen. And the conversation ended there regarding my foot. Anyone that's had a kidney stone knows that it is very painful in addition to the pain from barely being able to put weight on my foot. You would think that the doctor would offer some kind of pain relief. Instead, he let me sit there for six hours, suffering and pain when he easily could've given me something to help ease the Pain. To top it off while I was there, I hear him talking to the lady across from me that fell and hurt her harm, and he begins to listing off numerous pain medications. He can give her to help her ease the pain. I was just in disbelief But the worst thing about this encounter is I was discharged and I'm still at home. I can't walk and I have no idea what's wrong with my foot. The doctor didn't email address it. Absolutely unacceptable. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

I'll admit that we initially had some concerns based on what we had heard and read beforehand. However, our experience ultimately exceeded every expectation. The labor and delivery turned into a very intense and emotional situation. Our baby had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and went into distress, requiring an emergency C-section. It was a frightening moment, but the medical team acted quickly, decisively, and with incredible skill. Looking back, we truly believe their actions made all the difference and may have saved our baby's life. After delivery, our baby spent three weeks in the NICU recovering from respiratory issues, a staph infection, and learning how to feed. During that time, the NICU doctors and nurses were nothing short of extraordinary. They were compassionate, attentive, and endlessly patient--not only caring for our baby but also guiding us as new parents. They took the time to teach us techniques and build our confidence, which made the transition home so much smoother. What stood out most was how genuinely supported we felt. The team treated us with kindness and respect, and by the end of our stay, we truly felt like we had formed meaningful connections with them. We always felt that our baby was in capable, caring hands. Today, our baby is thriving, and we are deeply grateful. We have complete confidence in the care we received at Kern Medical's Labor & Delivery and NICU, and we will always appreciate the role they played in giving our child such a strong start.

Considering it is the cold months, it wasn't busy coming in on a weekday mid afternoon (they close at 8pm daily). Office was very clean. They ask that you kindly wear a mask if you don't show up with one (no biggie!). I knew I would have some sort of respiratory issue but wasn't expecting bronchitis. I saw the NP and she was so nice and thorough. Administered an injection, breathing treatment while I was there, and ordered the recommended medications for further treatment. I had a broken foot so she ended up putting in an (expedited) referral to see the foot specialist, which just so happened to be located on the second floor! The very next day the referral was approved and the podiatrist office (foot doctor) was calling me to set up an appointment for THAT following day... Super fast! I've seen the podiatrist a handful of times since then, and he's a really cool guy as well! Communicates well and definitely has your best interest at heart! Pretty funny guy too! I've also gotten my blood taken here per my doctor's request, and have had several foot x-rays done here as well, I love that everything is located in ONE building!! The building isn't even super huge either! so it's easy to navigate around. They even have an ER! Plus I've noticed that they're hardly ever busy! It's pretty much empty every time I've come! wait times are no longer than 10 minutes at the most. My last appointment I was 30 minutes early and they were able to get me in right away! Just seems to good to be true lol. Friendly staff, clean facility, so grateful to have Dr Raju (her nickname) as my PCP and BFMC as my doctors office. -The end.

You know, after reading the single-starred reviews, I just shook my head in UTTER disbelief…read more Complete, utter disbelief. The individuals posting these single-starred reviews ought to be out and out ashamed of themselves! I mean WTF? REALLY? Oh, wait, - I get it! It's all about THEM! Never once thinking about the employees and what patient load they have, their responsibility in treating patients within the "standard of care" and legally accepted protocols that govern damn near every single F*ing thing in this F*ing state due to Gruesome Newsome - as well as caring for illiterate people who know absolutely nothing about decency, respect, and consideration for others - let alone medical treatments for diagnosed, as well as undiagnosed conditions! Absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. OMG! WELL, all you single-starred reviewers, I got NEWS for you. Our experience was absolutely one of concern, caring, respect and consideration for our situation. We politely requested if the TV could be turned down, and the staff bent over backwards trying to help. They couldn't get the TV remote to work, and instead of giving up, handed it to my husband (who can fix literally anything just by looking at something) and indeed, he got the TV volume reduced. NOW, how is that rude? How is it rude to ask someone to not "throw up on the floor" when throwing up on the floor causes others to become potentially exposed (in medical lingo called cross-contamination...OMG!) to whatever virus and/or bacteria the individual may have causing hyperemesis, as well as causing a tripping hazard, AND maybe making someone leave the urgent care sicker than when they came in catching that damn "throw-up" virus/bacteria!!! Use your damn BRAIN. Oh, wait, that's right...no one does that anymore because their brains are all stuck inside their iPhones...or "where the sun don't shine" - which is far more likely. P.S. A really big THANK YOU to "Ana" for being so considerate, CALLING US telling that she would walk out to the car to give a card left behind to us (when we came back) so we wouldn't have to come in to get it. EVER HEARD OF THAT????? That qualifies as a 20-star review in my book.
