I called the office and was referred to Susan, who offered to walk me through the process over the phone. Still, I was not able to get access. Now, here is the very amazing thing. Sensing I was still frustrated, she offered to have me come in and she would help me step by step. I told her I'd be there in 10 minutes. She was actually waiting for me at the front desk when I arrived. This woman was incredible. She was so kind and patient and calm, which is exactly what I needed today. Susan was able to spot what the issue was, which allowed me to access my account. Problem solved. Susan didn't send me a link to click on or a toll free number to call. She just sat down and helped me. She didn't judge me. She didn't make excuses. She saw I had a problem and knew I needed her help. West Des Moines Ob/GYN is a world class medical practice of experienced doctors and nursing staff that has provided my medical care for over 20 years. I can't imagine going anywhere else. But, today, I needed Susan in billing.... and she really came through for me. I wish I could return the favor to her. The staff is very nice, as are and especially so, the doctor(s) (I've only been to one and I schedule w/ her every time). The front desk staff was super helpful and making my appointment and checking in was easy! They made sure I knew what to expect and knew where everything was since I had never been to this office before. The lab staff was great and made the experience a bit more comfortable and easy (even though lab work is never fun) they made it bearable. They made sure to go over what to expect with the testing. Dr. Turner was awesome! She listened to all my concerns and made me feel at ease!! She has great bed side manner! Overall both the Ankeny and Downtown locations have been fantastic to work with throughout my pregnancy and I look forward to continuing to work with them!
