SHE NEVER TRIED IT ON HIM TO WHERE IT FIT HIM. My son tried it on at home and it didn't fit....he NEVER wore it. I got a bill in the mail for $300!! For a splint that costs $30 on Amazon!! Insurance paid $115!! So our bill was $185!! No thank you. I took the splint back unused. This shady, unethical business continues to send me a bill for a splint that didn't fit, was unused, and we returned!!

This was unplanned and at a great convenance as his family lives in a rural part of the state! -The downtown Mercy one was awful! I am literally scared if I ever end up there! The nurses were not compassionate or empathetic at all! He had horrible pain management and was talked down to by many of the nurses. There was yelling in the hall from a nurse to a patient as well. My Dad felt uncomfortable to ask questions and request care during his stay. We are from a way bigger city than Des Moines and did not expect such awful care! They just wanted to push him out despite his high pain. No thought or care for his condition or age! WE WILL AVOID THIS BRANCH OF HOSPITALS IN THE FUTURE! I overuse my good foot to compensate for my weaker one to the point that both feet/ankles became so painful I can't always walk. Was able to be seen immediately and now have a plan to get me on my feet and hopefully be able to walk better, with far less pain on a daily basis. Highly recommend. Dr Davidson was able to give me a couple of additional inserts for my shoes to use along with the orthotics I already own and my feet felt better ( walking) than they have in the last 2 months. I'm hopeful that the rest of the treatment plan he has suggested will increase my quality of life. Definitely off to a good start.
