I've never been a huge believer or fan of chiropractors. I always had the impression that once to go, you'll be going for the rest of your life. But I don't get that seem feeling here. I went into Optimum Chiropractics as it was closest to where I live; when I went in they gave me a complimentary X-Ray and ended up deducing that my spine was completely out of line and it was crushing a nerve ending. They scheduled me for several appointments to get me.back in shape, and each time I was fortunate enough (by choice) to experience a session with each of the doctors there, and even some from their second location; so I can say with confidence and experience that each doctor there has incredible "bed-side manners", great listening skills as well as a great deal of Chiroptactics. My insurance covers visits regardless of a wellness plan or not. I provided a reference number from my insurance confirming this but the visits were never submitted to insurance. I tried resolving the issue by talking to the front desk who stated insurance does not typically cover these visits and I would ask for the charges to be submitted. The charges were never submitted. Remember, I gave a reference number from the insurance regarding this very issue. I have emailed the billing department and never received a response. I called the billing department and explained the situation and again was told insurance typically would not cover. I asked for the charges to be submitted. The billing person stated she would need to ask the doctor before doing so. The care is good but the burden of fixing insurance issues is placed on the patient. If the billing department had only just submitted the charges as requested instead of waiting 90 days and sending me an invoice stating I owed money. I have never had issues with any other provider. I will be taking my care needs elsewhere.
