Unity Village is a spiritual sanctuary. The grounds are extensive and host a variety of spiritually based events. I recently attended the Heartland Yoga Festival here, which was a beautiful experience. I've also attended a workshop to develop the intuition as well as the Monday night Buddhist group. Everything I've been to has exceeded my expectations and filled my cup. The grounds have walking paths to enjoy the beautiful scenery, something I hope to walk through soon!

We had the privilege of visiting Unity Village on Wednesday. This is the home of Unity Institute, the theological seminary for one of the world's foremost New Thought churches. This is where the "Daily Word" is published, for many people the gateway publication to discovering New Thought. After a choir reception, a film presentation, and a Q&A with the Dean of the Institute and the President of the Association of Unity Churches, we were given free rein to explore the grounds. My Lady and I spent most of our time in the archives, where the founders' offices and original theater are preserved, and at the Silent Unity Building. The campus reminded me a little of Stanford University.

Okay, I've said it in a previous review and I'll say it in this one too...this place rocks my socks off! As a photographer this place is almost a dream come true. I hadn't heard of it until a client of mine suggested it and I immediately fell in love when i pulled up. It's a small religious campus with great buildings and backdrops. There are several fountains - many of which were sadly under restoration last time I was there - that make for a great backdrop as well as a wonderful sound. They do small weddings out on the small bridges over their fountains I believe. The doors make for great photos, as well as the awesome arched hallways that make great shadows!

Looking for a church home to come to? Well you have found it right here. I followed SPC on their…read morefacebook community and began watching them live from CA. 4 month before I arrived to MO. Once I arrived the welcome I received was beautiful and amazing. I already felt like part of a family and its been like that ever since. I knew then I found my church home. Its been 9mo. I love the series the Pastor does, once you hear a piece of the series your hungry to come back to hear more. We now have 2 locations North & South. Come check it out you'll be glad you did. Deserves more than a 5 star.

I went to SPC for the first time for Easter a few weeks ago. The worship is very contemporary…read more(super loud music, fog machines, and concert lights). Something that impressed me at this church was the technology. Sounds weird I know, but you'll notice it when you go. During the worship and sermon, they have two big projection screens of the stage and add info/scriptures below it. They also had a video trailer of upcoming sermon series and church announcements. They give you an option of texting a certain number if you are new. Very fancy! The church lobby is pretty small, but has an open floor plan so you can see where the welcome booth and kids section is. At one point I felt like in an Apple store, they have people behind booths with a lot of computers open facing outward so you can check out their website. I'm tellin ya... fancy tech people at SPC! The main thing that made me go back to SPC for a second week was the pastor. He's legit! By legit, I mean, he's honest and real. From the few times I've heard him speak he's been funny, to the point and personable. Not a hellfire and damnation kind of preacher but also not just a love and fluff kind of preacher. I haven't made any personal connections with people there yet. I've said a few words to people at welcome booths but that's about it. Word of warning when you go: you don't pick your seat in the auditorium, they do. For me, that was a bit of a bother because I'm a back row baptist and my first time there they had me on the second row!!! However, it has its advantages. There's nothing worse than stepping into a sanctuary and feeling like you're back in a middle school cafeteria looking for someone to sit by.
