Despite I am not a spiritual person this website contains articles and literature on mental wellness and relationships. I find their e-book "Being Your Best Self... With Difficult People" very resourceful and helpful in my Sisyphean Task. With a calm mind in turbulent times one can accomplish any challenge which the insight from Spirituality & Health provides a holistic approach. There is also the emphasis of empathy and compassion in their articles. However, the holistic approach is not entirely overpowering nor aggressive but very subtle in their articles and literature. Amid the daily motivation emails are heavily cluttered with religious and spiritual beliefs which many are irrelevant for me. This January, 2024 marks two (2) years of my beloved family member's expiring; this June, 2024 marks thirty seven (37) years of another beloved family member's expiring; and this March, 2024 marks forty nine (49) years of another beloved family member's expiring which all are indelible for my continual grieving the unfathomable losses. I read and value Spirituality & Health's grief literature which is comforting and healing. With mindfulness self-care, resilience, compassion, and understanding empathetic I believe the world can be a better healthy processed living environment.

And now it is a full blown cafe, that serves wine and cocktails in the evening. I can only speak to the breakfast and coffee menu. The pastries were excellent. They offered a couple of breakfast sandwiches that were heated on site. There were also lunch type sandwiches. My blueberry muffin was good. I definitely appreciated the coffee, which is provided by Messenger Coffee. The seat arrangements are comfortable. There were over stuffed chairs, bistro level tables and stools, and regular tables and stools. Also, there are revolving art exhibits. I will be back for coffee. I miss the bookstore.

When I was a little girl, I used to see this small magazine laying on the coffee table, and I had absolutely no interest in it whatsoever. I was sooooo embarrassed when my friends came over and saw it. When I turned 30, I actually picked it up one day....of course, it wasn't the same issue :) and I read an affirmation that seriously hit home. Since that day, I've turned on many friends and business associates to the powerful words and suggestions in the Daily Word. For $12.95 a year, you can subscribe to this monthly mag (small enough to carry in your purse or pocket), or you can get your daily dose free on www.dailyword.com. I'm not a religious person, nor do I go to church on Sunday, but I do find that when I'm feeling a bit down and am going through a mental or physical struggle, I can spend a few minutes reading a positive message for that particular day, and it will change my mood instantly. Once I arrived the welcome I received was beautiful and amazing. I already felt like part of a family and its been like that ever since. I knew then I found my church home. Its been 9mo. I love the series the Pastor does, once you hear a piece of the series your hungry to come back to hear more. We now have 2 locations North & South. Come check it out you'll be glad you did. I went to SPC for the first time for Easter a few weeks ago. The worship is very contemporary…read more(super loud music, fog machines, and concert lights). Something that impressed me at this church was the technology. Sounds weird I know, but you'll notice it when you go. During the worship and sermon, they have two big projection screens of the stage and add info/scriptures below it. They also had a video trailer of upcoming sermon series and church announcements. They give you an option of texting a certain number if you are new. Very fancy! The church lobby is pretty small, but has an open floor plan so you can see where the welcome booth and kids section is. At one point I felt like in an Apple store, they have people behind booths with a lot of computers open facing outward so you can check out their website. I'm tellin ya... fancy tech people at SPC! The main thing that made me go back to SPC for a second week was the pastor. He's legit! By legit, I mean, he's honest and real. From the few times I've heard him speak he's been funny, to the point and personable. Not a hellfire and damnation kind of preacher but also not just a love and fluff kind of preacher. I haven't made any personal connections with people there yet. I've said a few words to people at welcome booths but that's about it. Word of warning when you go: you don't pick your seat in the auditorium, they do. For me, that was a bit of a bother because I'm a back row baptist and my first time there they had me on the second row!!! However, it has its advantages. There's nothing worse than stepping into a sanctuary and feeling like you're back in a middle school cafeteria looking for someone to sit by.

It truly is an active church for people who are looking to serve and love ALL people as Jesus does. There is a FREE clinic now open at the church that is open the 3rd Sunday of each month from 1-5pm. Dr. Laura Voss is the main doctor and director of the clinic. It is open to everyone who needs medical care. All the services are professional and truly free and you won't be given a sales pitch to go to church. They want to help families and individuals of all ages get the medical care they need. I've been going to this church since the beginning. You won't find another church like this!

And they don't mind me walking our dog everyday in the field next to the church. Recently met the pastor while working in my garage. While speaking I'd mentioned my wife's medical issues. He invited us to come by anytime. And a couple of days later flowers arrived for my wife from their church. It about brought my wife to tears. She has so many friends we had to get married out of town. So she's no stranger to kind acts from friends. But she's never met anyone from their church. It really touched her. If you're looking for a faith based community for your family, I can whole heartedly endorse this smaller, very approachable church. They don't just talk the talk. They walk the walk.

They sung both traditional and contemporary music. The worship leaders were both passionate and the choir was on point. The pastor was dynamic in singing and preaching the word of God. His singing voice was somewhat reminiscent of Marvin Winans and he preached an uncompromising Word to the people from John 20:29 regarding Thomas. He pulled a lot of meat off the bone in his sermon. They are kind of tucked away, in fact we had two different addresses and went to the wrong one first, but what a pleasant surprise when we got there. Keep up the great work preaching, teaching, and encouraging. Go here, you will like it if you are coming to praise God.
