What a beautiful layout of buildings with cool water features and a number of activities to do. I went here on a date night with my befriend and we were entertained for a couple hours. There is a cafe and bookstore near the parking area (which is huge). We did not get to visit those spots since they were closed. But as soon as you go through the buildings sides, you enter into a garden like area with fountains, water streams, and beautiful plants/trees. the landscaping is impressive. Even the trees are in unison. In the middle lies a bridge that overlooks the large building symmetrically. I don't know the names of any of these buildings, but the tall building seemed to house offices for counselors. One of the coolest parts was the labyrinth which is just a never ending maze. It's a one way line that goes from start to finish in a circle. It is the largest in the US. we spent some time there walking on it and admiring how cool it was. Lastly, there is a nature trail that holds a natural cave not too far in. If you follow the signs, it is easy to find! There were deer, squirrels, and lots of birds along this trail. Also there were multiple "wedding like" venues/ ceremony/ reception areas. basically lots of places for a wedding! it would hold a beautiful wedding or large party.

What we discovered was VERY intense pressure to take their EXCESSIVELY expensive "classes." One fellow named Eric tried to get me to stop going to my doctor. We finally were able to leave, after a neighbor came to get us. Yes, these people tried everything to stop our leaving. It was close to kidnapping. I got home and started researching them, and discovered that adherents go into debt to Scientology to pay for those classes. Some cost $20k, no kidding! All those classes are in the quest of their sect, to get a person's mind to a "clear" state, clear of little beings named "thetans." Ridiculous, isn't it? Well I also discovered that celebrities are treated very well, pampered actually, so as to lure regular folks to join. Regular folks are outright abused, and forced to work off the prices of their worthless "classes" for YEARS in various Scientology locations. And if anyone ever tries to leave, Scientology's warped lawyers will come after them tooth and nail, trashing that person's reputation, as they did with Leah Remini. That's IF they are able to escape! Look up what Scientology did to Lisa McPherson. Scientology is NOT any type of Christian sect, so the "cross" atop their buildings is just for show. There's statues and busts of their founder, a science fiction writer all over the place. And I've repeatedly, over 16 years, ordered them to have no more contact with me. And they have not respected my orders, and repeatedly contacted me--even after I moved more than 200 miles away and changed my phone number. AVOID THIS PLACE AND THE ORGANIZATION LIKE THE PLAGUE. Because in many ways, that's what they are.

The teaching is solid, rooted in traditional doctrine, and clearly centered on Jesus without being swayed by every passing trend. At the same time, it doesn't feel stale or outdated. The preaching is genuinely dynamic, thoughtful, engaging, and grounded. If you're familiar with communicators like Josh Howerton or Wes Huff, it has that kind of balance with strong biblical depth and clarity. What really stands out is the sense of community. It feels local and personal, not like a large corporate style church. There's a real opportunity to get connected, grow, and actively follow the Lord alongside others. Another unique strength is that the original founding pastor is still involved in ministry and available to people, which adds a depth of wisdom and continuity that you don't often see. While my personal ministry commitments and leadership call have taken me elsewhere, I have grown up seeing this church and being acquainted with its leadership and can tell you that they are people you can trust.
