I got a call this morning at 9 AM that they no longer were able to deliver the dumpster we agreed upon because over the weekend their truck that transports them had mechanical issues. The representative on the phone understood my frustration because I had taken PTO to do this project today. He then offered to bring me two 15 yard dumpsters which equals 30 yards instead of the 20 yard I ordered to make up for it. It was a fair offer in theory had they have been able to execute on their promise. At 1 o'clock, I still didn't have any dumpsters in my driveway had lost the entire day I had taken for PTO. I then called back to explain my frustration that now to do the project I have to take a second day of PTO since I wasted this one. I was told the gentleman was on the way to the dump to dump out one dumpster so they would have both of the 15s to bring me. It became a parent at that point that they're never likely was a dumpster available today. They just didn't have one and didn't wanna lose the job so made a promise to me that they could execute when they knew they couldn't. I received absolutely zero empathy for the second PTO day request, and then the gentleman on the phone started to become argumentative. I highly recommend you hire anyone but this company because they are unreliable and do not do what they say they can do. If you're relying on the affordable waste solutions to do their part to meet a project schedule or deadline whether you're in Construction or a home repair project it won't be with this company as they just feed you mistruths while they juggle their equipment to not lose out on a job. Honesty goes a long way and they lack it.

I had a great experience with Junk Shot. I have actually had them bookmarked for years after I saw…read moremy friend Steve E (RIP) posted a glowing review about their service. It's just incredibly frustrating when you have larger junk that starts to pile up. For people that drive something like a pickup truck it's easy to get rid of things you don't need anymore. However if you're like me and drive a smaller car then you're pretty much stuck with it. I did my homework and the biggest thing that surprised me about their competitors (which are huge nationwide services) was that it's hard to get them to tell you how much you'll pay. Sure it's free for them to come out and look at what you've got, but I want to know beforehand what I'm dealing with. The Junk Shot app let me take photos and send them for an estimate. I was told that what I had should all fit in their large truck and was given a price for that. However, I was also told that if I ended up using less than the truck's full capacity I would be charged less. I ended up filling 2/3 of the truck and was indeed charged much less. On the day of my job I was given a call that said they were running ahead of schedule and they could accommodate me if I was ready. When they arrived and started working I definitely understood why they were ahead of schedule. Louis and Kale worked together very well and were so efficient. While they did work rapidly, I also let them know that I needed to see what they were throwing away and I definitely did not want to get rid of everything. They respected that and they were constantly asking me if things were okay to discard. I had two minor complaints. The first was about how the app operates. It forces you to submit pictures that are a perfect square. Back when cell phone cameras only had one lens that would not be an issue. My current iPhone has three lenses on the back and can take very wide shots. I was forced to crop them and couldn't show everything that I wanted to in a photo. They also charge a $5 processing fee for using a credit card. I completely understand why they prefer checks, but in 2021 there just can't be that many people that have a checkbook handy to do that. BUT they did give me a $10 discount for using the app. If I did not get that discount I would be very annoyed about paying $5 to use a credit card. These are very minor issues and I would hire them again without question!
