    PRICE GOUGING AND RENTAL INCREASES ON AVERAGE EVERY 6MOS!…read moreOnly use this facility if you don't plan on staying for more than 5-6mos. I've had my unit for a little over a year and a half and every 6mos or so they increase the rent 10-13% with no regard to your situation. This last time was 5mos. Another warning sign is I've talked to at least 3 different property managers in that time so the turnover in staff must be pretty high. BEWARE - If you have an after hours emergency or situation, you're out of luck. As a matter of fact, when I moved my things from CA, I had a truck coming after hours the next day, and the person who signed my lease forgot to give me the code to the exterior door to get into the building where my unit was located. I called the office frantic for help and no one called me back. Luckily there was a woman leaving so I flagged her down and she was able to give me the code. If she hadn't been there the truck drivers were going to have to come back the next day and charge me $600 for having to stay overnight. When I returned the next day, I was told by the then manager they aren't allowed to and don't have access to the voice mail to return after hours calls. She was very apologetic and sincere but also unhappy with how the place was being run. Haven't seen her since. Shortly after I was laid off from my job due to COVID, I received an increase letter so I called to see if they could help out by delaying the increase. I spoke to Ashley Stubbs who was very sympathetic, but said it would be up to her manager, Brandon McBride, who she would send an email to asking for a pause on my increase. Of course, I never heard back. Ashley even suggested some customers pay a few months in advance which seems to delay the increases. So, I just got laid off and I'm asking to stop my increases, and you suggest I pay more and in advance of when the payments are due? What kind of company does this to its loyal paying customers during a pandemic? Not a good one. I have been a customer who pays every month on time and to get an increase every 4-8 mo for an area, well it's not The Woodlands, is absolutely price gouging. I started out at $109, 7 mos later it went to $119, 8mos later it was $131 and yesterday got an increase letter from yet another property manager Gigi Pastor, moving me to $151, a 13% increase 5 MONTHS since the last increase. I can't imagine the price of the property, operating costs and running this facility requires such an increase especially when there's nothing special about their supposed customer service. Public Storage at least signs a 1yr lease and this appears to be a month to month with random increases whenever they decide from computer generated form letters stating they need to make a "modest" increase. Seems like I'm on a countdown to an increase every 3-4 mos after the latest one goes into effect 8/1. Choose wisely. I wish I had gone with one of the bigger companies so I wouldn't be randomly nickeled and dimed every 6mos or so for nothing but sheer greed.
