Excellent service from start to finish. I had a garage door from 1948. Nuff said. This company is great and had just what I wanted. I have a brand new garage door, safe and insulated. They installed all new electronics and safety equipment. It took longer to get the door due to Covid and delivery from manufacturer, which they told me about. Once the door was sent to them, it was installed in a week. No fuss no muss, all clean. The installer was terrific. And all for a price lower than the big box stores. They never followed through and I was told to try United Overhead. I should have gone to them ten years ago. Door is sleek, safe and Quiet. I didn't know it could BE like this! Thank you. These guys do nice work! We had to replace the rubber on the bottom of our garage door and after checking around we called up United. They came in with a very fair quote and got the job done in no time at all. Their technician arrived a bit outside of the time frame we were originally told, but their office staff called up to let us know in advance so it wasn't an issue. Excellent! This is a follow up. My door was hit and United Overhead Doors sent a repairman for a temporary repair. Today, the installed came in and my new door was installed. Perfection! Had a great experience with Marco and the rest of the crew at United Overhead Door. For our initial visit, Marco arrived promptly and prepared. We discussed the various options, but because I wanted to think it over, Marco happily left me with materials and let me decide in my own time...no pressure. In the final selection process, Marco patiently answered my questions and provided me with multiple renderings until I got what I wanted. The installation crew was great too. They also arrived on time and then worked quickly and efficiently. They got the new door, opener, track and keypads, up in no time. They did a great job cleaning up too. Called the vendor to repair the garage door. A technician showed up at our front door asking for a credit card to charge $103.62 service call fee upfront. (which later we learned is three times more than any other reputable companies in town like PrecisionDoor). After charging my credit card, a technician walks over to our garage and without even entering the garage, he tells me that we need to change our entire 2 car garage door and the entire motor system to fix the problem because they are all about 20-30years old and there are no parts to order. When I told him that our garage door was actually newly installed 3 years ago by them, the technician simply drove away without spending any additional seconds to take a look at the garage door opener which was the real reason for making a service call with this company. When we called the company immediately after their guy took off without having a take a look at our garage door opener, a woman named Pamela M told us that their guy couldn't order any parts because Moore-O-Matic don't produce parts any more. I told her that we have Lift Masters not Moore-O-Matic and I can see their parts being sold throughout different websites like Amazon, she said she will have her supervisor to call us back. Since then, we never heard back from them and they never gave our money back for not performing any service besides making a horrible sales pitch that everything was so old that we need to replace everything. So basically, these guys will charge their customers $103 to tell them everything needs to replaced that you will need to spend alot more money with them otherwise they wouldn't even bother entering your garage to get your motor's brand name right. Bottom line, they charged us $103 service fee upon arrival at our house then performed no services or inspections to diagnose the problem. We find them to be extremely unethical. Just had a service call today and it was great. The man showed up precisely on time, did the work quickly, efficiently and at a very fair price. He took the time to explain many features to me. I must say, we've used them often and they've always come through. I read the review from March of '16 and I suppose it might matter what service person shows up, but we've always had a very positive experience. read more

I bid out a completely new garage door for my apartment house in Yonkers, 8 years ago and United won the bid. Their price was fair, the workman arrived on time, installed the door, electric lift, infrared safety device, and two remotes. The door has worked flawlessly without the need for maintenance and repair and still looks new. I would use them again. read more

Great job fixing my broken garage door (spring had snapped). I called United Door and the repairman came the next day, on time. He not only replaced the broken spring, but also checked out other parts that were getting worn out and might fail, and replaced them as well. After the garage door was fixed, he then checked it over thoroughly, oiled and lubed it, and even tightened all of the bolts. Garage door now works great - better than it has in years! STAY AWAY. The customer service is terrible. It's like they don't want your business! I originally made an appointment with a sales rep for a Saturday morning. I went all the way up to Yonkers and sat and waited for 15 minutes before being told by the woman at the front desk that the sales rep was out meeting with a client on Long Island and would not be in until the afternoon. So I left. About 30 minutes after my appointment was scheduled to begin, I received a call from the sales rep asking where I was. When I explained what happened, he said he did not have an appointment on Long Island and rudely accused me of being wrong, when in fact the woman at the front desk had screwed up. I really needed a garage door so a couple of weeks later, I called and asked if a sales rep could contact me to give me a quote. I gave the woman who answered all of my information, including the town my home is in. She said someone would call me back. I never received a call back so I called to follow up again. The woman who answered asked what town my home is in and when I told her, she rudely said we don't take clients that far out on Long Island and tried to hang up. I said I think you are thinking of a different town because I'm just outside of Queens, and anyway I've already spoken to a sales rep and someone else and they both knew my town and didn't say it was an issue. She rudely said she didn't make the rules and tried to hang up. When I mentioned the sales rep's name, she back tracked and rudely said call his cell phone -- even though I started the call asking if someone could help me because I can't seem to reach anyone. She was literally the rudest person I have ever dealt with in my life. It's very strange. It's like they don't want your business even though I really need a garage door and have jumped through hoops to try to use them. I also think the woman who screwed up my initial appointment was the person I spoke to on the phone. So United Door, if you are reading this, she's really hurting your business... read more

I had two garage doors and motors installed by this company about 10 years ago. I was in recent need of a repair. I'm happy to say the service was just as exceptional as the first time. After having some bad experiences in dealing with service companies - I have become extremely skeptical of who I give my business to. This company has been in business for years and I was beyond satisfied with their customer service, quick turn around time, and quality of their work.
