Extremely poor handling of a firearm transfer and unacceptable communication…read more Before shipment, I called to confirm that Sharpshooters accepted transfers and asked how long the check-in process typically takes. I was told I would be called immediately once the firearm arrived. UPS shows the package was delivered Thursday at 12:00 PM. By approximately 3:00 PM Thursday, I went in person since I had not received any call. An employee and I located the box together, but I was told they were too busy to check it in and that I would have to wait for a call. At the time, the store was not busy, with only one other customer present. Friday passed with no communication. When I called around 5:45 PM Friday, I was told they could not locate my firearm and that I would need to call back Saturday afternoon. I called again Saturday at 2:45 PM and was told once more that they were too busy to check in transfers, with no timeline given--only that someone would call when they eventually got to it. I clearly stated that I needed it checked in that day, and was again told I would simply have to wait. Out of concern, I contacted several other local gun shops to ask about their transfer process. Every other shop indicated that standard firearm transfers are typically checked in and ready for pickup the same day, excluding suppressors for obvious legal reasons. As of now, my firearm is still sitting unchecked in their possession with repeated communication failures and no accountability. For a business handling regulated items, this level of disorganization and disregard for customers is unacceptable. I would strongly advise avoiding this location for firearm transfers

They have plinking as well and I believe a 100 yard range as well as their other ranges for rifles/pistols/shotguns. The cost was a little pricey, but it wasn't a problem. It was a little confusing at first because the cashier made us use a QR code to sign in. Not a problem but there were no other instructions or guidelines besides him telling us to sign in. Kinda iffy but okay. We shoot at one bay and decide to move to another. When we get there, this RSO starts yelling at us that we weren't being safe which was odd because I literally just sat my things down. He told us that a "regular" was telling us the rules and we weren't listening. At no point and time was anyone yelling at us. Regardless, he tells our friend's kiddo to "shut up and listen to him and just say yes sir to him." That rubbed me the wrong way. He was of legal age and didn't know, and there were no rules posted or told to us. Another older RSO came and explained it to us in a much nicer tone. Nothing wrong with the facilities, would just be better if there were posted rules or some guidance before just letting us go out there. And if that RSO is reading this, please do better. You could have approached us better than that.
