The salesman seemed apologetic and just simply explained that the price has gone up. Then I noticed something had changed with their cutting fees. Typically it's seven dollars for the first cut and a dollar for each additional cut. Now they want seven dollars for each first cut of different size material. Bad enough that I'm literally paying double now but you're going to gouge the customer with some BS cutting fee like that? looks like I'm going to be shopping around for a different steel supplier.

Will continue to use B&L as my primary air conditioning gurus! Fabian and Claudio are some of my…read morefavorite humans to work with - they always shoot straight and I know they are on my team, so to speak. They have done multiple repairs for us, which culminated in us eventually needing a new unit (only when it was impossible to fix - they did a lot of repair work on our older unit before recommending a new one). All handled professionally, quickly, and with care. Recently, we had an issue where the line gave out (50 years of sediment under your house will do that). The fix was not within their capacity, so they referred me to some excellent colleagues who were able to repair the issue for me. I so appreciate their honesty and integrity and will continue to go to them with any of my AC needs. Highly recommend!

First I want to say I have never seen a business, of any kind, with five star reviews across all…read morethe major platforms (Yelp, Google, Facebook). Our air conditioned decided it wanted to stop working this past June, in the hottest June in record. Originally we had a family member who is an AC guy give us some fixes but they just didn't work and finally after 2 miserable weeks I looked for a professional company. I came across B&L and was bowled over by the stunning reviews. I called just before they opened and the owner Fabian called back right away. He came over that very same morning and checked out our situation and advised on options. He was no nonsense and I appreciate that because I despise the bs tactics that some people use. He was upfront and said they weren't the cheapest but weren't the most expensive. We went with a whole new system because ours was already 13 years old and was a 2 ton and we should have a 2.5. I liked the warranty and they had excellent finance options. Fabian gave us a realistic schedule date and they even loaned us a portable unit while we waited for the install. Dara was excellent and so so nice when she came to the house to drop off the unit and have me sign the contract. Every time I texted she was quick and friendly with responses. Steve and Kyle came out on time on the scheduled install date and were done the same date. They did excellent work and cleaned up after themselves. When we kept hearing a weird humming that started driving us crazy they came back out and inspected and we're able to solve the issue which was very much appreciated. Don't get me wrong, new systems are expensive and I know not everyone can afford them but I am betting that the repair work for this company is just as good as new installs. These are the type of businesses my husband and I prefer to work with. Family owned who really care about their customers and their work quality. I highly recommend and will not look anywhere else if we have any future issues. I'm including some pics of our old set up and the excellent new set up.

Updated Review ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~…read moreJBC Repairs, replaced my heat pump and air handler today... so far so good. I feel content with my decision to do business with JBC Repairs. The air conditioning technicians were friendly and respectful of my home. For example, my family and guests remove shoes in my home, so the technicians covered the carpet-- a path downstairs, the stairwell, and their work area upstairs-- with an adhesive plastic that protected my carpet and was also safe for the techs to walk and work on due to the adhesion. Also, the techs cleaned up after themselves, leaving behind no trace of a full day's work. Moreover, the finished installation looks professionally done, which goes without saying since the job was completed by JBC Repairs, Air condition and Heating-- a licensed and insured certified air conditioning contractor. I'm no inspector, but so far it seems like a proper installation that will pass inspection. Most importantly, JBC Repairs, brought a matter to my attention that would have significantly increased the cost if I chose to have certain models installed... Replacing an AC unit is a significant investment, for that reason I completed multiple estimates. During the other estimate appointments those company representatives came to my home, assessed my unit, but failed to mention that an additional job of upgrading my copper line-set/refrigerant lines would be required in order to install their proposed units. Communicating the probability of necessary upgrades and the associated cost would have exhibited transparent communication and upfront pricing, but I believe their proposals provided me with lower estimates knowing that an additional big and expensive job would have to be completed before their proposed units could be installed. Moreover, due to their fine print, signing either of those proposals would have resulted in me becoming just another example of a little person being taken advantage of by a BIG company. I share all that to say that JBC Repairs brought the matter to my attention and then worked WITH me by presenting brands and models that are compatible with my current copper line-set and within my budget. For the reasons that I've shared in this review, I recommend JBC Repairs to consumers who value good character and upfront pricing. Replacing an AC unit is a significant investment, and we as consumers don't know what we don't know. For that reason, I encourage the readers of this review to continue your effort to find a contractor with good character and upfront pricing who will guide you through the process to ensure that you make an informed decision. -Thank you for your time, Previous Review ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A JBC Repairs rep promptly contacted me to follow up on my inquiry. The tech looked at every thing and said I had a leak in my condenser unit coil. He could "hear it". So I asked if it was fixable. He said maybe not sure, and that someone will reach out to me tomorrow. Next morning their sales guy comes out and says you need a new unit. Later on in the day he sends a quote for $17,400. I call and ask if it's repairable, (I looked on line and I could by the part my self). He says the part is obsolete, really? I am looking at it on line and can have it at my door step in 2 days. So I knew it was BS and they just wanted to sell me a new unit. So to get another view I called American air and heat.
