We intially met with 5 different construction companies before we started our project to find the best fit, and United Express was easily our favorite. David was our project manager, and he worked extremely close with us for the entire renovation, which lasted about 2.5 years from our first plan to completion. A good project manager is very important on a big project like ours, and David surpassed our expecations. He's honest, knowledgable, caring, and mostly importantly, a great guy to be around. Throughout the entire project, our relationship with him only got stronger. He guided us through every single step of the project, and answered all of our questions (this was our first remodel, so we had a lot haha). Amir was our general contractor and we are so grateful that we got to work with him. He had a saying that put us at ease in moments of uncertainty, "I flow with you guys." He truly stuck to his word and he was always coming up with solutions to any issues that arose. Not only were David and Amir amazing to work with, their entire team of sub-contractors (framers, electricians, painters, etc) were also incredibly talented and kind. We called United Express to get an estimate to redo the fascia on our house. Matthew, one of their contractors, came over and we ended up talking about solar the whole time. We didn't use them for the fascia but they did our solar install and we were very pleased with their performance. Super knowledgeable and up to speed on current products, trends and regulations. There were a couple times when I had to wait a day or two to get an answer, but that's because there was a huge rush on solar installs at that time due to new net metering restrictions that were about to go into effect. Overall I highly recommend their services. I plan to use them for future projects. read more

I have needed a new roof for a couple of years unfortunately I put it off last year and of course we had a very wet winter. I decided to move forward this year an contacted UEC because they had installed a solar system on my roof about 8 years ago. They worked up a very fair price to remove the solar and repair and redo the roof and reinstall the solar. They did the job quickly kept the property clean answered any questions I had along the way. The job took about two weeks from beginning to end They were extremely professional and we are very happy with the results. I used UEC solar as my installer for solar panels after finding them on energy sage. The panels they recommended for me look so good on my house (I was really worried about my roof looking ugly :)) and they were all around fantastic. They gave me a SolarEdge system that has a phone app where i can track my production and monitor to make sure they are always working properly. They did a very clean job on my install, even using my house paint to blend all of the connections that they ran down from the roof so they weren't unsightly. They also did all the work to submit my LADWP rebate. They pulled the permit and had LADWP out to inspect in a day. Then it took a couple of weeks for LADWP to update my meter and connect me to "the grid". UEC gave me the best bang for my buck and I did a ton of research - but the best part was how nice and responsive they were throughout the process. read more

UEC designed and installed my solar system for about $37K. I complained that my gills were still high and thqat I saw no savings. They told me it takes time for DWP computers to recognize my input. It is now about 1 1/2 years and one of my DWP bills was over $900. DWP examined my account and said my system just isn't producing enough power. Can't reach anyone at UEC to resolve this. We decided to go with UEC Solar for our solar system and Haim handled everything; he drew up all the plans, wrote up/revised the contract per our needs, handled the permit process with the city, and submitted the Interconnection Request with SCE. Once the plans were approved and we had permits from the city, the installers were out three days later on 6/22. The project was completed and inspected on 6/27 with PTO from SCE on 6/29...one day before the SCE NEM 1.0 deadline! Haim is the ultimate professional and a true asset to UEC Solar.
