Was helped at a desk by Assistant Vice President Sandra, and then at the counter by Sereane. Both were very pleasant and professional. I had a very uncomfortable experience at David Check Cashing Place of Rockland. I came in to cash a…read morelegitimate work check and was immediately treated with suspicion because of the amount on the check and the fact that I'm from NYC. While the attendant assisting me was polite, it became obvious that he was being micromanaged by what appeared to be the manager or owner. I was repeatedly questioned about why I was in the area and whether this was my first time using a David's Financial location. The situation escalated when the manager took a picture of my ID and stated he "didn't want to take the risk" cashing my check, heavily implying that I was involved in check fraud. I understand businesses have policies and fraud prevention procedures, but there's a respectful and professional way to handle those situations. Instead, I was made to feel singled out, embarrassed, and racially profiled in front of others. No customer should be made to feel like a criminal for simply cashing a paycheck they earned. I hope management reflects on how customers are approached and treated moving forward.

Every time you call no one ever knows anything I've gotten so much misinformation it's ridiculous. I took my money out and went elsewhere and then when I called about interest on savings account, I was told about a high-yield interest savings account so I took all the steps so I could transfer money back into Kearny federal to find out they didn't have that! Two different people in the same location told me that they had that savings account option and then when I actually try to do it, I was told oops we made a mistake... Really a Bank makes a mistake. Oh no that's why I took all my money out of Kearny and I don't care now if they have 10% interest, I'd never put it back again... They really need to up there staff education on their own products...
