They even caused me to lose my job because they took so long on processing a loan for me and I never got a response back from them. I got loans from them in the past without any issues. All I had to do was show proof I was working. All new staff makes up their own rules and I have had issues with them illegally taking money from my accounts to pay for paper statements while using online banking. Without my consent! So definitely illegal and they are lucky I didn't sue them. Here recently I applied for a loan. A small loan so I could keep my job. $2,500 is all I needed so I could repair the van i just bought. Needs a transmission and the van is what keeps me with a job. Unfortunately sun east needed way more info than what was necessary. So much that they also wanted info from my other credit union where I cash my checks since sun east wants to give me a bunch of bs cashing my checks. Who cares if you have a personal check or personal company check? A damn check is a check and shouldn't be held for any amount of days as long as you have an open account! They refused to cash any of my checks without the hassle. So I went to my other credit union to cash my checks. They don't care what kind of check it is. As long as you have an account with them they're gonna cash your check and send you on your way with a smile on your face. Not sun east! After covid I've been having more issues than I've ever had with any bank or credit union. So yes, all staff needs fired. Especially in the loan department. Thanks to sun east for taking such a long time, longer than need be to get a small loan that caused me to lose my job. So when I get what I have left on my loan I plan to close all accounts and I'll NEVER return to sun east. Hoping soon they close their doors for good and nobody in that place has a job for back-up. I had GAP coverage so I thought I was good, but I wasn't. I was never informed by Sun East, verbally or thru Disclosures, that in the unfortunate event of a total loss, that GAP insurance will not cover the Skip-A-Pay's that was offered due to good standing. Not only was my wife injured in the accident that she did not cause, we were forced to get another vehicle out of pocket, we have a new car note, and now we have additional payments for the Skip-A-Pay's that were out to the back of the loan. When i asked Assurant GAP Coverage, they stated they are responsible for the contractual deadline amount. Not the Skip-A-Pay's that were deferred. Sun East failed to disclose that factor. Now I have more debt and a negative impact on my credit score.
