12 hour delay to get to San Francisco. A holiday hell in Redmond. Should've just rented a car.

The longer flight offers two rounds of nonalcoholic drinks and snacks. You can preorder food for the longer flight too. They have inflight snacks you can purchase if you didn't preorder food. I am writing this review for two Alaska…read moreAirlines employees at the Redmond Airport in Oregon: Joshua and a very nice lady which I did not get her name. We had to use the wheelchair service at the airport for my mom and the lady assisted my mom to get through TSA and to the terminal. She made our experience hassle free and getting through security was a breeze. Once we arrived at the terminal, Joshua took exceptional care of my mom and I for our departing flight back to SFO. It was not a full flight so he was able to move our seats closer to the front of the plane to make it easier for my mom. He did everything he could to accommodate my moms limitations which was a relief since traveling is stressful. When it was time to board the plane, the lady assisted my mom by pushing her wheelchair up the steep ramp to the plane. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Alaska Airlines for making our experience a great one.

We flew this airline-because it was the only one that flew in close to Bend, Oregon. To start, the check-in process was a bit chaotic. There doesn't seem to be a clear boarding protocol, as everyone just rushes to the check-in line, creating a bit of a scramble that can be overwhelming. I was surprised to see how little organization there was during this process, which set the tone for what was to come. Avelo also has a very strict baggage policy. They charge for carry-on baggage, which is something to keep in mind if you're planning to bring more than just a personal item. We found this a bit frustrating, especially since several airlines include some form of carry-on in the ticket price. Additionally, the seats were really tight and not as clean. We generally wipe down our seats before touching anything-but had to clean more than normal this time-especially the window and the area above us. On the positive side, for what little interaction we had with the flight attendants -they welcomed us with a smile and the pilots communicated with us often-and--What great landing! They were genuinely kind and welcoming. However, no other interaction as this airline does not offer in flight service.

The seats on the plane are comfortable, there is good leg room even in the back of the plane. They have good free snacks. If you have a American credit card your first checked bags are free. The Admiral's club is great if you have a long layover. Most of all they get you where you need to be on time!

I almost never send reviews as experiences can change depending on different interactions. As a…read morewhole I believe AA is a terrible company and does not value its customers well. I have been burnt by AA on several occasions including their website crashing and charging my card and not giving me tickets, their customer service department says it's limited in what they can tell customers and cannot offer any assistance. Most of the time when you try to talk to the customer service in person they refer you to calling the phone service that will not work and will not resolve your issues. When flying last Sunday 6/15/24 in Redmond, OR the pilot backed out the plane and we waited on the tarmac for an hour just to tell us that the plane was not flyable and instead of canceling our flights and giving us reimbursements and trying to book us through another airline they had us wait for 5 hours in the airport till the mechanics told them the same thing (the plane was not flyable today). Due to all the stress and frustrations I am choosing not to ever fly with AA in the future and if you ever have these issues with them I would encourage others to do the same.

The plane was at the gate just sitting. We were told it was an air traffic control decision. After boarding we taxied to the tarmac only to return to the terminal bc the de-icing system wasn't working. We stayed on the plane about 20 mins. while the mechanics worked to problem only to be deplaned after no solution. It took another hour before another plane came in, emptied its passengers, then got us and our luggage onboard. Lastly we were held on the tarmac again for half an hour waiting for the go ahead to take off from air traffic control. When we finally got to Las Vegas there were no wheelchair drivers available to take us to the baggage claim. It was supposed to be prearranged through Delta. At no time were we offered any compensation or even free drinks for first class.

I went on vacation with my daughter and her two small children back in August to Disneyland. We…read moreflew on Delta Airlines. Everything was fine until our return trip. They cancelled our flight because a crew member didn't show up. They weren't able to get us on a flight until the next day. Meanwhile we had to find a hotel, get transportation to the hotel, my daughter missed work for a day, which she didn't get paid for. I filed a claim with Delta last August. They resolved the claim in September for $453.00. I never received the money and I've spent 30+ hours on the phone and messaging robots trying to get my money. Their customer service is horrible. I've been transferred from one person to another because they don't properly train their reps to solve multiple problems. I'm so fed up.
