Flight attendant was sweet when I made small talk with her and meant busines. she was courteous along with other cabin crew upon arrival of flight! The same staff that greets you out off the cabin also opens the door to let you into the small airport building. The small building was equipped with a vending machine, comfy waiting chairs overlooking where the air flight arrives and enjoyed the small restroom stalls equipped with necessary female personals for a quarter or what not. On a windy day it's difficult to stay indoors and look out for your ride because there are no windows facing the pick ups and drop off area so I stayed out doors where a small bench and table where located. Unfortunately, I must admit, I forgot my charger so I thought I would ask the front desk and of course no one is there. It makes sense since it is a small airport but you would think someone is guarding or out on watch just in case of an emergency. Eventually after some good time 15-30 min I see a young female staff and ask if If there is any way for me to borrow a charger. She gave me a very snotty matter of fact answer and acted as if was busy and heading to another room. She could of at least tried to be more friendly. My phone was dying and i needed to communicate with my ride about my pick up! I highly suggest she works on being more genuinely nice. Hopefully I don't run into her in the near future. And I do agree it was not her job to provide me a charger but we are all human and sometimes forget!! My future suggestion would be maybe they can make a permanent wall plug-in charger dock station (like in the cities). So people don't take those chargers that way if someone really needs to communicate before or after a flight there is no miscommunications especially since this airport is out in the goonies with no outside plug-in in site.

For example, if you have a 7am flight and you want to check a bag, you'll need to arrive well before 6:15am. The recommended time is 90 minutes before departure for checked baggage. The cut-off time for checking-in is 1 hour. If you miss those cut-off times, you can be denied boarding. The airlines that serve Del Norte have an online check-in. Just download your boarding pass to your phone. You'll still need your RealID or other acceptable ID such as passport. The officers of Del Norte TSA provide excellent service with courtesy and professionalism. This airport may be smaller than others, but the TSA team upholds the highest level of airline passenger safety.

I've had three separate negative incidents with their staff at Crescent City (Del Norte) Airport, and it's clear there's a culture of hostility, inconsistency, and disregard for passenger rights at this station. Incident 1: Denied Boarding for Being 2 Minutes "Late" On March 24, I arrived at the airport at 7:17 AM for an 8:00 AM flight. After a quick restroom stop, I went to check in at 7:20 AM just two minutes after the counter had closed. There were still 10 passengers waiting, yet I was denied boarding and told to leave the terminal entirely. With no transportation options nearby, I had to walk over a mile to a motel. I'm a healthcare professional who was scheduled to be in surgery that day this last-minute disruption caused serious professional harm. Advanced Air later acknowledged in writing that this situation could have been handled more flexibly. That's not accountability that's damage control. Incident 2: Arbitrary Enforcement & Unreasonable Demands Two days after flying with no issues, I was stopped by the same station manager (Sarah) and told I could not board my return flight unless I purchased a second seat or left to buy a different travel item. The issue in question had never been a problem before and clearly depended on who was working that day. Even the airport director tried to help clarify, and Sarah still refused. I had to rent a car, buy what she demanded, drive to another city, and return to fly the next day. The lack of consistency and basic professionalism is unacceptable. Incident 3: Unjustified Escalation Onboard After going out of my way to meet their last-minute demands, I returned the next day completely in compliance. Still, I was treated rudely by both ground staff and the flight crew. Despite following all instructions, I was repeatedly harassed during the flight. When I calmly handled a minor issue after landing, the crew escalated the situation publicly using the intercom to threaten me with being banned and sending the pilot to confront me on the tarmac. Staff at Oakland later admitted the treatment I received in Crescent City was improper. Advanced Air's Crescent City team especially the station manager enforces policies arbitrarily, treats paying passengers with hostility, and shows no understanding of basic customer service.

It's a pretty good bus service, located in Crescent City and serving coastal Northern California pretty well in general. I used to connect to this using the Greyhound and now that doesn't exist anymore. It's pretty tragic to know that after coming up and down the West Coast on the bus through CC and even to CC so many times, and seeing beautiful Crescent City from a Greyhound I'll now only be able to drive up here (which I prefer anyway) as the Dallas-based company decided to stop serving the coast of Northern Cali, and believe me, we were pretty disappointed about it.

There are very limited options for any kind of lodging in the area, there's a small Casino with a hotel 10 minutes away and it's pricey. Closest grocery store is Crescent City to the north, so get supplies there. The campground has a store with some campground essentials but it's not a grocery store. Campground has coin laundry too, and the campground store has tide pods for .75 cents. Would recommend if in the area for hiking the Redwoods or fishing!
