I have been using Unique for three years now, and my favorite employee is Rose! I trust her to handle my Brazilians because she knows what she's doing, and her friendly personality puts you at ease! The only downside is that management makes you pay with cash for anything less than $10. It's very frustrating because it's obvious they can take card payments for that (who carries cash anymore?) but it's for THEIR convenience, not the customer. When they rolled out that new policy I was so livid that the manager was giving me attitude for wanting to pay with card that I almost didn't come back. Her demeanor and lack of caring about customers was frustrating. Other than that, I've always been happy with the product they provide. read more

This is my typical spot for brow threading and tint. Today I decided to go in for the first time since COVID started, so needless to say, I was way overdue. When I arrived I realized I didn't have an appointment. I saw on the door there was a big sign with instructions. Basically, if you have an appointment call and they will come out to your car to check your temperature and you must come in with a mask. There was also instructions if you do not have an appointment, call the store, let them know and find out if you can be seen and the rest is the same as having an appointment (wear a mask, get escorted in from your car). I called and they told me I could come in- odd I was NOT escorted and my temperature wasn't taken. I was then told to sign in on my own and answer covid question. This is where I started to get uneasy, the pen was not disinfected and the book was lying around, not being managed by the staff. I felt uncomfortable sitting in the common area that had no signs for social distancing so I decided to stand in a corner. About a minute later, another customer walked in with their child, neither of which were wearing a mask and talking very loudly on video chat, and the child was touching EVERYTHING, including bumping into me serval times. During this time other customers came in and others were trying to check out and pay. I was still standing and the staff kept asking me to sit, despite my repeated comments that I felt uncomfortable sitting and I was okay to stand. At this point there were 10 people in the from half of the store by the register, which is an extremely tight space. I was shocked how staff would pull down their masks to chitchat with other customers, no enforcement of wearing a mask, no enforcement of social distancing, and so many people handling the same pen and book. By this time I have waiting about 10 minutes to be seen. The person that sat me down to do my threads wiped the chair to sanitize then asked me what I wanted to do with my brows. I let her know I wanted my brows as full as possible and not thin - I cannot stand thin eyebrows on myself. The threading itself felt normal and the woman working with me told me about oil to help hair growth, I let her know I've been using it but it is not working for me. At this point I started to get worried. She was finished and trying to get me to tint my brows. I was not in the mood to be there a second longer and opted out of a tint today. I was given the mirror and I died a little inside seeing how THIN my eyebrows were! I am extremely upset with the result, I came home and just cried. I let my eyebrows grow out and they were so full, this threading was supposed to be just a little clean up. Coming here for a threading was the most uncomfortable experience ever with the staff not following proper covid guidelines and not listening to my exact comment of wanting full brows. I don't think I will ever be returning here. So disappointed to say the least. read more

I have only come here for threading, though they also offer waxing, eyebrow tinting, and other services. As the tips suggest, see Sana. She is phenomenal and gentle when threading, and she is also very personable and remembers her clients. I have had my threading from others here but Sana is a standout and I always try to go to her. Prices here are very reasonable ($8 for eyebrow threading), and if you sign up with the digital check in system, you can also opt in for special offers. My mom and I popped in early evening in a Saturday, we both needed a brow threading. All of the ladies working there were incredibly friendly and they were able to take care of us right away. Simi threaded my brows, and they haven't looked this good in a long time! Simi also threaded my moms brows as well as brow tinting. They looked great! Very happy to have found this place and Simi! I'm knocking 1 Star off because they have a $10 minimum to use a credit card and I think this is one of the most obnoxious policies a business can have. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

I went here to get my eyebrows threaded and tinted for the first time. I was a bit nervous since I didn't know what to expect. Ruth did my thread and tint, she was very nice and explained each step of the process to me. The threading hurt in certain places but again I had never gotten it done before so I'll have to get used to it, just like waxing. I absolutely love how my brow tint turned out...I was so nervous they would be too dark but Ruth chose the most perfect natural brown shade for my face. I also loved the pricing, how clean the place was and how professional the ladies looked. I'll definitely be back! P.S. I'm giving four stars instead of five because she did nick me in two small places below my brow and they did bleed a tiny bit, but it wasn't anything major that freaked me out or turned me off from doing it again. read more

My tint typically lasts me a week to two weeks depending how often I wear makeup...if I go natural without makeup my tint last me about two weeks I usually go every 3 weeks to 4 weeks because I like for my brows to get a decent amount of growth to give Simi a nice fresh set of brows to work with she doesn't thin out my brows like most ppl do but I always like to remind ppl to keep them thick simply because it's a habit read more

The employee literally didn't listen to a single word I said. I asked her to just clean up and keep the thick shape and she literally threaded HALF of my eyebrow off. AND they were extremely uneven!!!! I also told her not to thread the middle because my skin is sensitive and she goes and threads the middle. Smh. This place is amazing!!! Oh my goodness what a professional and lovely experience considering the pain that Brazilian waxing involves. Was greeted by the sweet Tina upon arrival who took me to a very clean room playing soothing music. I know I'm a total wuss but waxing down there makes me nervous. She was incredibly professional and that sugar scrub they use here truly decreases the pain to about fifty percent less. Also got my mustache and chin threaded and very happy with the results as well. Will recommend this to anyone that asks for a Brazilian wax place. Trying a new threading or waxing spot is always a challenge - you read reviews, check out photos, but apprehension will always linger... after all, one false move on your tech's part can leave you with brows like Vanilla Ice circa 1992! Thankfully, Unique seems to be the sort of place where that apprehension can melt away when it comes to their signature service. Upon entering, I was struck by how nice and clean the space is, and within seconds Kalpana greeted me, noticing that it was my first time to their establishment. I indicated what I needed done, and once I was seated at her station, she took stock of my eyebrow situation. She explained what she was seeing (that one was slightly more full than the other, which was true, and exactly what I needed corrected), and asked which version I preferred before setting about her work. She checked on me throughout, and at the end, explained what she had done and why she had shaped things the ways he had while I reviewed the work in a hand mirror. Checkout was quick, I was given a loyalty and and informed of the other services they provide, and I was in and out in a grand total of 12 minutes.
