He walked me through potential moisture issues that can come up and how to mitigate them so that I get the best life out of the floor. We had a very thorough conversation of products that other competitors offer in the area and the pros and cons of them. Best of all, I believe the price they charge for the coating is extremely fair for what you get. Because I really love working in the garage and wanted the longest life of the floor possible, I opted to go with a bulletproof coating option, way more than he would recommend as well as custom color flakes picked by me. They definitely were willing to do the custom work without question. Andrew provided a sample to me and made sure I was very happy with the plan before moving forward. They installed the flooring very quickly. Best of all, my house did not smell like a chemical warehouse when all was said and done. They use very low VOC products and I was happy to personally verify that. I have had flooring done in the past by other places and some of the products that are out there can really make you regret your purchase when you smell them in your home or office. I was impressed by the fact that he gave us a few different options of what could be done, and explained the pros and cons of each, rather than just fearmongering and pushing the most expensive one with all the bells and whistles. '58's quote was definitely higher than the local companies, but generally on-par, if not a little lower than, their big national peers. And true to the promise they make on their website, they didn't do any kind of price matching or marketing gimmicks; they just gave me the price. '58 was our 2nd choice behind who we decided to go with (out of 6, yes SIX separate inspections/quotes), and I would definitely use them for other work, should I need it down the line.
