First of all let me say - We absolutely love our new landscaping and hardscape. We totally enjoyed working with Unique Environmental Landscaping. They were professional, prompt, friendly, capable and and honest company to work with! We became aware of Unique Environmental Landscapes at the Atlanta Home Show in September. We really liked the demo they set up. It was easy to get an appointment with Todd Guilmette, President of the Company. He came out in less than a week and had our landscape design back to us within about four day. He really listened to our need for privacy as our home is on a corner lot of a cul-de-sac. He also noted plants that we like. We met again to refine the plan and find out what the total cost would be. I was a bit worried that we would not be able to afford their services considering all of the landscape awards they have received. Upon getting the proposal we were delighted that the landscape plan it fit our budget perfectly and with a few modifications the hardscape did as well. Todd told us up front that it would be about three weeks before they could begin. The deposit was not due from us until he actually ordered the plants and materials for the hardscape. The crew arrived as scheduled and since there were as many as a dozen in the crew at one time they moved quickly to install the landscaping and the hardscape. Todd was out several time to assure that the installation was proceeding as planned. Todd knew that we wanted to keep the project on budget so he made the appropriate adjustments to plant sizes to stay withing budget. (For example: the plan called for six 9' to 10' foot Carolina Sapphire Cypress trees. However the only large trees available were 12'.) Todd adjusted the plan and installed five 12' trees. The crew of workers were wonderful - very professional and friendly and they did an excellent job of installing everything and cleaning up. We live in a private gated community so cleanln up was important. Once Unique Environmental Landscapes completed their work a company installing a pergola came in to cover our extended patio. We had hoped to have it installed prior to the landscaping but the company was not able to keep their proposed time schedule. Once the pergola was installed Todd came out to make sure the trees that were close to the patio were appropriately placed. One tree had to be relocated which was done withing just a few days. In addition, Todd has stopped by a couple of times to make sure the plants are doing well and that the staking of the trees was holding. We have agreed to go with their maintenance and care services. We could not be more pleased. We absolutely love our yard and the privacy it will give us. Sandy & Walt . read more

I LOVE Todd and his crew! We have had really in depth install / creation work done at two properties that they now maintain for us. Besides being kind and very approachable, Todd, Jose, and all the crew are very thorough and deliver great quality end results. On multiple occasions, they went above and beyond to make something better than they found it because it was the right thing to do. Maybe our builder caused problem, maybe I didn't even know it was a problem or would become a problem without a proper fix, or maybe it was a weird downspout that had bothered me for years.... whatever the case, they paid attention and finished our jobs with great detail, great design, great usability, and great success! I am just uber impressed by that care of detail to fix something / grade something / create something right the first time. As a result, we will be long term customers. I have referred them to others in our neighborhood, and I'm proud to say they have started another job just down the street! I can't wait to see what blooms there!! Thanks, guys, for all your hard work. We really appreciate you!! PS. Make sure that when you take on a landscape project, that you are patient with the weather. These guys won't come out if it's raining, squishy, and yucky... nor should they because they care for the product that they are leaving behind and don't want to mess up the turf, etc... in the rain. No one can control the weather!! :) THANKS again for everything! read more

This is actually the second landscaping project we hired Unique Environmental Landscapes to design and implement. The owner, Todd Guilmette, is a fantastic designer -- he takes into account all of the customer's wishes and wants, while adding his own suggestions and elements to the design plan. In both our homes, the old and the new one we recently moved into, we constantly receive compliments from friends and neighbors on the landscaping. Our newest project began last April and concluded in June, but Todd has been by several times already to look things over and make changes and fill-ins at no extra charge. The personal interest Todd takes in following up to make sure the landscape is looking great and growing in the way he envisioned it originally is in our opinion, what makes Unique "unique". Additionally, the work crews are all very hard-working and professional. They take the time to get to know their customers and are both friendly and helpful. We were so impressed with the crews that we signed on for weekly yard maintenance as well. It is nice to know that our landscape is in the hands of people who really care. We are so pleased with everything Unique has done for us in our old home and our new home. You won't be disappointed! read more

I am a HOA Board Member for a relatively small subdivision in Duluth, GA. Our front entrance was in dire need of a major up-do! Although we solicited bids and met with a number of landscaping design firms, Unique stood head and shoulders above the rest from the very beginning. The time, attention to detail, creativity and patience that Todd, the owner of Unique, and Matt, his right-hand man showed to our "small" project was beyond our expectations. And, let me say we are a community of residents with very high expectations. Todd was always available to meet with us, always flexible with our requests. Matt and his crew carried out the plan to perfection. Not a detail was overlooked. In fact, Todd continued to suggest and create and add to the original plan as the project progressed. Todd himself answered every one of my emails and Matt did the same. Unique deserves ten stars! read more

I really hate writing negative reviews but I had a very poor experience with this company. I met with the owner (Todd) and felt that he would be perfect for our project. Unfortunately what followed was a complete lack of follow up and planning from UE. The only way to get anything moving forward was to complain. Complaining would result in one baby step forward followed by being completely ignored yet again. I could deal with the delays, but not the lack of respect. I finally decided to pull the plug even though I'm left with a torn-up yard and having invested several thousand dollars. I just couldn't see going any further into a major project with a company so lacking in project management and customer skills. Perhaps UE is better suited to yard/common area maintenance or small projects that can be completed over a few days. read more

Todd has done work for 2 of our friends and his praises were high ! We hemmed and hawed before contacting . We got a response immediately and a plan was made Todd to cone and meet us and our needy space . I had an appointment that prevented me from meeting him that first day. But, Lindsay met with him and they worked out a plan . The estimate came back amazingly reasonable so we decided to do a little more . We are still just doing a little more. It is hard to stop :) Our yard looks so fantastic . The wise choice to build a creek bed using large stones and extend it down along side of the house stands out the most . We look At our new yard all of the time If is special!!! We are looking forward to another project. Danielle Harris and Lindsay Soergel read more

We needed to have our front landscaping redone after a terrible job by a previous company. Unique Environmental Landscapes did an AMAZING job. Todd is an amazing landscape designer. He listened to what I thought I was looking for and came up with a design beyond what I even expected. Everyday we get comments on how beautiful the front of our house looks. The crew was courteous, clean, and respectful of my house, lawn and surrounding areas. I've never seen a crew work so hard. Can't recommend Unique enough. Would give them 5+ stars if I could. read more

While I was President of our homeowners association, Unique Environmental managed our landscaping needs. They did an excellent job maintaining what was already in place and did an outstanding job of making suggestions to improve the looks of the neighborhood.
