I excitedly told the fellow of my prior conversation. I was met with "She shouldn't have sent you over, there is a lot of places that it could be!" I didn't tell him "she wasn't stopping me". Feeling a bit defeated I had a seat while he looked for the dvd.... as I began to worry if I would have to change my noon oil change appointment? There he stood in front of me, holding out the dvd for me to take, as he said "here it is". I let him know "you are my hero!". Proceeded to the checkout where I told that cashier "he is my hero". She politely said "I hope you enjoy the movie!" So 10 minutes, $2.16 and two lovely employees later I was out the door. Thank you Half Price Books St Paul!! Day? Made!

The store had a lot going on as far as the sale section and just merchandise everywhere as it's holiday season. I generally like browsing around just because. Store was pretty organized. We were approached by customers looking for staff assistance but seemed like they were a bit short staffed as we didn't see any besides at the checkout despite the store being somewhat busy.

There is no music, no audio books, no magazines, no cords, accessories, or earphones (those are in the shop next door), but they do have reading glasses and a few small stuffed animal toys for the kids. What you will find are hardcover and paperbacks in many genres in current or recent titles and a section of classics. It's not a big store, but doesn't need to be when you aren't selling trinkets. The children's and YA sections are well-stocked so good for them for promoting reading for all ages. If you either finished or forgot your book and have a long enough layover to get to the F terminal, this should be a stop. As much as I like the B&Ns of this world, I really appreciate a bookstore that doesn't need all the marketing extras. Simply Books is simply a bookstore. Good for them.

But , I'm a pioneer so I forged ahead with the Perrier. When the cashier went to ring it up, he knocked it off the counter. Anticipating that it would be shaken and explosive, he went to the case and got me another one! How's that for service!? I thought that was exceptional. The small space is filled to the brim with books of all varieties and all conditions! The girl working the counter was friendly and helpful. When looking for cheap used books or trying to get rid of books you no longer need, Paperback Exchange is a great place to try!
