My partner and I were looking for an apartment because our landlord raised our rent by an exceptional amount. We worked with Skye Foy and they seemed very nice upon our initial meeting. Unfortunately my partner and I didn't meet the correct requirements for the apartment, and we asked Skye if the landlord would be willing to negotiate, given that's what I've done with apartments in the past and it is a common thing outside of NYC. Skye refused to negotiate with the landlord or even make it seem as if they were trying to speak on our behalf. In the end, I'm assuming she lied just to get us off her case. We haven't heard from her since. I understand realtors can only do so much, but this isn't only about getting an apartment, it's about people finding a place to LIVE or else they will be homeless. My partner and I were willing to pay extra and provide documents that we were responsible tenants. They really put us in a bind, and besides their jobs, they need to have a bit more compassion for people's circumstances. read more

We applied through their broker Skye Foy, and they appeared great at first, we toured and applied for one of their apartments and were told we would hear back in around 2 days. They have since just strung us along for over 3 weeks and refuse to give us a response after taking a lot of our sensitive identity documents and financial information while they continue to show off the apartment. I just successfully completed the absolutely anxiety filled experience of renting an apartment in Manhattan and could not have done so without these guys so wanted to share my experience! From start to finish they were more than professional, prompt, kind humans and totally on your team. Keith greeted me with a smile and a handshake after I was late to our meeting to view a unit. We quickly and efficiently viewed several units and he immediately sent over the application info to get the process going. Between applying, waiting approval, hitting speed bumps, and dealing with landlords in manhattan-- I absolutely would not have the apartment I have now without him. He got an apartment outside of my budget to come down INTO my budget, was an incredible liaison between us and the landlord, gave emotional and moral support while we stressed about waiting approval, and was absolutely dedicated to helping us get what we wanted. I had met with several other people from rental companies in NYC and from our first moments could tell Keith was going to be the one to make this happen. I was taken apartment hunting with a friend who will remain nameless since he has a profession where he'd like to be off social media. He said the experience was so good he's yelp them if he could. Jordan took us for the day and showed us apartments in Kips Bay, the East Village, and the Lower East Side. These were around the 3000 price range and according to my homie there were a lot more than other real estate companies were able to show. In other words they had great selection and whole lot of inventory. We saw a variety or apartments high end flex 2 bedroom and some with a living room option. He understood the market as he understood the city. I hadn't been around NYC in a while and I was stunned to see how mach it has changed. What stood out was his fun and easy approach to it all. In the end he settled on an awesome place in the Lower East Side. I'll have an awesome place to crash when I visit New York City. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They work with absolute NYC slum lords and will LIE to your face about the quality of the management. They care about money over your wellbeing. After paying our broker Skye Foy 15% of the Annual Rent for a Brokerage Fee, we asked Skye Foy and Tonya Singh for the landlords email so we could provide proof and images of the condition of the apartment (mold, damage, dirt, corrosion, etc) and they lied that they didn't have it - really the brokerage and property management don't have each other's emails? They forget who they really work for and that at the end of the day this is a matter of the roofs over people's heads and their livelihoods. Worst experience of my LIFE. yikes, totally forgot to review until now- just received a text from my USQ Property management realtor (Jordan) who just checked in to see how me and the apartment were doing after my move in a few weeks ago. (I'm doing AWESOME, and I love my new home! thanks for asking) There's no way to sugarcoat it- looking for an apartment in New York is an emotionally/physically/financially trying experience. (it is good exercise though, I'll give you that). I was looking for an apartment in the East Village on a very tight budget, which kicked up the difficulty level by 100, and I was starting to feel discouraged. I found the listing by USQ Property MGMT on Streeteasy and figured it was worth a shot.... ...and it was! :) My cute little EV apartment was found! The broker who showed me the apartment (Steven) texted me back promptly about the application process and connected me to Jordan, who quickly sent me the paperwork and walked me through the process. I also had an out of state guarantor, which complicated things but Jordan was very patient and understanding. Throughout the process, Jordan was very prompt in answering my questions and coordinating times for lease signing/pickup/etc. Even at the lease signing, Jordan went through the lease with me, taking his time to explain each part of the lease and answer all of my questions. He was very professional and efficient with everything, leading to a quick and easy end to my home search, If you're looking for a new home in the area, definitely give them a call! I'm not a fan of brokerages in general, and wasn't planning to find my new apartment with one (after meeting with two brokers already), but meeting Elvis, I was convinced otherwise. Union Square Property has access to exclusive deals, and the brokers fee I paid was a good price for the deal I received. Some of the management here are even close friends with the property owners, and hence get the first word before apartments even go on market. Being the "New Yorker" in my family (granted its been only four years), my cousin who just relocated into the city and needed to find an apartment, asked me to go around with him to help find a new home. I have been lucky enough to stay in the same spot, but have been to other brokers before when I've attempted to look, and was very happy with the experience with Union Square Property Management. Located right on St Marks, they seemed to offer an honest and no BS approach to the current market and what it would take to get something in the heart of the East Village. My cousin was shown three properties and he fell in love with one right off 2nd Ave. I have no doubt their knowledge of the area and relationships with the landlords made the process as smooth as can be. They also gave him an awesome checklist to be prepared with when he filled out the paperwork, some things I wish I had when I first came into the city. I worked with two other brokers before them and it was not a fun process - "here's an exclusive apartment and you have to sign it today or else it'll be gone and btw it's 15% commission HURRY HURRY SIGN HERE." Carlos took his time helping us find exactly what we wanted. He gladly walked me around town showing me several different options. At no point did I feel like they were strategically showing me/avoiding certain places to favor their best interests. I honestly did not believe it was going to work out for me but Elvis and Jordan helped me all the way through, he was always on top of it and was super easy going. Alex was my leasing agent that showed me a couple of apartments, and I found one that I really liked. My roommates and I were all on different schedules, but Alex was willing to accommodate us and meet back several times to show my other roommate the apartment that I liked. Working with Jordan was great, no complaints at all. He was very knowledgable about the market and area, and it really seemed like he had our best interest in mind (unlike others). He was completely transparent throughout the entire process and made everything easy to understand in a timely manner, as we needed to move in ASAP.
