What an awesome campground! My family camp for 5 nights here in early August. The cost to camp…read morehere is $16 per night. There are 30 camp sites here and they are maintained. Each campsite comes with a small fire pit, a picnic table, a trash can, a parking space for 2 cars, and a good size camp site. There are water spickets nearby the campsites. There are also flush toilets, automatic water sinks, automatic paper towel dispensers; all of which are well maintained. There are pay showers, if you wish to utilize being clean (50 cents for 4 minutes). Check the web site for all details of the campground. There is also a camp host in case of any emergencies or rowdy campers. Actually, there was one campsite that blared some music past 10pm (noise curfew) for an hour, which I went over there and ask him to turn it down (which he obliged). I will say that many of the campers were more on the strange side (drifters, displaced individuals, and the likes), all which seemed harmless. It seemed that 85% of the campers that were there, all had a dog or two. The Applegate River is about a quarter mile away. My family enjoyed playing in the river twice while we were camping here. Cantrall-Buckley County Park is literally across the street from the campground. And of course, our purpose for camping here was to visit Applegate Christian Fellowship with Pastor Jon Courson (located about 1 mile away). Be aware of speed traps coming into the valley here. There are occasionally police officers stationed along this route.

This is a beautiful county campground. Located on the upper Rogue River, there are 38 campsites,…read more16 of which have water/electric hookups. There is a boat ramp and access to the Rogue River and Elk Creek. Campsites are $26/night for hookups, $22/night for no hookups. Sites are level and spacious. Camp host is friendly. When we first arrived, we realized our reserved site (#15) had no shade whatsoever, which was an issue because we were in the middle of a major heat wave with 90-100 degree heat. We were lucky, because we were able to find an unreserved site that had full shade. If you want shade, stay away from Site 15. Another issue with site 15 is that it is right next to the spot on the river where rafters pull out, so it gets a lot of foot traffic. There were people who parked their cars in what was our reserved site, even though it had a reserved sign on it. We were happy in our new site, but the beast of this campground is the road noise. The campground is located RIGHT NEXT TO Crater Lake Highway 62. We knew this when we made the reservations, but in reading the reviews no one had mentioned road noise. We didn't realize how much traffic there would be, especially truck traffic, all through the night. The highway curves near the campground, so it is a section where drivers are constantly braking, then accelerating as they go up the hill. Also, like many campgrounds, the vibe changes on the weekend. The weekend campers were noisier and messier. I have to say, in all the camping we have done, I have never been in a campground where campers left food, clothes, trash, etc. out all over tables and the ground the entire time they were in their sites. I'm not a neat freak, and I know we are here to relax because "we're camping", but I have never seen anything like it. Also, the dumpster near our campsite was full, and even though there was a sign asking people to take their trash to a nearby dumpster that was not full, people just dumped their trash on the outside of the dumpster, where it piled up. Such a shame. Quite an eyesore until the trash was finally picked up days later.

Also given its proximity to the host campsite, I doubt there's any incentive to get it fixed. The next park towards Crater Lake was allowing campers to use their facilities but they have stopped allowing it according to the host. The inner ring of campsites have water and AC but no sewage A very low key park that seems to cater mostly to locals at least this time of the year- Early May. We would come back

Beware of extra fees!!!…read more We made a reservation through Recreation.gov for 4 nights at Fish Lake, Doe Point campground in Oregon. When reserving the camp site, we selected that we will have 2 vehicles. In the print below it stated: 'A per day, per vehicle fee will be collected onsite for extra vehicles.' Being that we selected '2' vehicles then the 'extra' vehicle would logically be more than the 2. But no. That is not the case. At the camp, we were told that the second vehicle is $11 per night ($44 more). On RogueRec.com it states: "Overnight Fee: $23 Drinking Water: Yes Toilets: Flush Toilets Camp host on Site: Yes Fires Allowed: Yes Cell Service: Good Nearest Store (Miles): less than 1 GPS: Latitude: 42.39273795 Longitude: -122.3230235 Elevation: 4600 ft. Showers: Available for a fee at Fish Lake Resort Firewood for Sale: Yes" NOTICE: It does NOT state the extra vehicle fee nor explain the number of vehicles included in the camp fee (and the fee is actually $25 per night not $23). The camp site was clean and in good order. There has been some trees cut down recently that block the path to the lake. Be aware that the beautiful trees over head put sap on everything. The camp toilet was not very clean. We caught no fish.

Even Recreations.gov could not get the owner to honor the reservations. Know this, reservations.gov cannot make make the owner honor reservations, only refund money minus 20.00.cancellation fee!! My opinion someone offered more money for the space, especially since it was July 4th weekend The owner only cared after review on yelp! However it cost us more than the 39.00 she refunded, no mention of all the money spent for gas and food for the trip. Wouldn't want to see anyone go through this and be disappointed after depending on booking reservations.

August 30 - Sept 3, 2025 - Diamond Lake, Oregon…read more We've stayed at this RV park several times, and like many others, it really helps to know the layout ahead of time--some sites are definitely better than others. I studied the campground map and chose what looked like a great spot: spacious, tucked in the back, and away from the road. Unfortunately, it turned out to be very unlevel with a noticeable slope. We had to use levelers on one side and add blocks under the jacks. Not exactly the most stable setup, but we managed to make it work. There are plenty of campgrounds in this area, but if you want hookups, the options are limited. That's one of the reasons we return to this park--it's right across the road from Diamond Lake, just a short drive to Crater Lake, close to the Rogue River Gorge, and within easy reach of several waterfalls. The location makes it a convenient base for exploring the region. Be aware there's no cell service at the campground. We found a signal only by walking over to the pizza restaurant across the street, which, as it turns out, also serves pretty good pizza. One of our favorite evening activities was simply sitting at our campsite at dusk and watching the bats swoop around for dinner--a fun and memorable way to end the day. Overall, while the uneven sites can be a challenge, the location and surroundings make this RV park a solid choice, and we'll likely return again.
