Ambiance - 5 stars. Can you have a better blend of classy yet relaxed in setting? Wood floors, wood accents, off white walls, tall ceilings with simple lighting. It gave a comfortable cozy home feel while at the same time being reminiscent of a formal dinner at that home. Basically, this is a wonderful place for a romantic evening or for a group of close friends to have excellent conversation while sharing a drink and a meal. Also, while I was there, they played music from the late '80's and early '90's so there were certainly many nostalgic moments.
Service - 4 stars. Servers were very friendly, but the day I attended they seemed to be slightly understaffed, as I saw our server not only covering the entire inside dining area, but also some of the outside seating as well. Even with that though, we were served our food promptly and the server checked to make sure our drinks were sufficient and the food was to our expectations. The one star off was solely because they were understaffed, and we had to wait to get the server's attention when it came time to pay the bill (not more than 6-7 minutes, so I'm being picky here).
Food - 4 stars. The food here is solid. Not the best I've ever had, but certainly very well prepared and presented, and good enough to eat every bit without complaint. Portion sizes were a bit confusing, where some items were much larger than expected (their shoestring fries is large enough to be a meal in itself), and some items were smaller than expected, but overall it was a nice and pleasant balance.
Drink - 4.5 stars. Great selection of drinks, both alcoholic and not, but far too many were simply presented in the can, which while functional, was a minor distraction from the overall ambiance of the place.
Recommendations - great for a romantic dinner or for groups (small and large) with both indoor and outdoor seating that is pleasant and well decorated. The Haloumi with the rosemary honey was particularly outstanding, and a 5+ star item due to the delectable blend of salty grilled cheese and sweet honey with just the slightest hint of rosemary as an aftertaste ~ it was well balanced and really worked. read more
