**DISCLAIMER: I am a PHYSICIAN myself, but did NOT disclose this in my visit (not until the end)…read more I did not tell his staff I was a doctor so that I could see what kind of treatment I would receive (often, if you tell them you're a doctor, they will kiss your ass). I visited Dr. Hosein on two occasions for general health check ups. FRONT-END STAFF: His front-end staff were helpful, slightly on the informal side, and they helped me find parking in a large facility. SIGNING-IN/WAIT TIME: I arrived 5 minutes late, even though they had asked me to come 15 mins early for my first visit. Still, the front staff were polite, efficient and professional and they even explained patiently what the different forms were for that I was filling out. I was in a rush to get back to my own practice, (I didn't tell them this) and they quickly brought me back for the nursing assessment, vital signs, weight, etc. PHYSICAL OFFICES: The offices were slightly small for my taste, but perfectly clean and professional with useful, health-related posters on the walls. The rooms seemed quiet--I couldn't hear other conversations outside. The bathroom was clean. BEDSIDE MANNER: I waited a further 5-7 minutes before Dr. Hosein came into my room. He was younger than I expected (given his experience), though a very good listener (that is something VERY important in a doctor), and actually had a great sense of humor. He spoke in a clear and soft voice and took notes while taking my health history. He looked up at me as well, maintaining eye contact and seemed like a friendly person. He took a good history, too--I was impressed. PHYSICAL EXAM: The physical exam was thorough, efficient and well done. He explained the reason for doing everything, which I appreciated. I wasn't a 'medically complex' patient, and he spent about 35-40 minutes with me on our first visit, basically getting to know me as a person. It was then I told him I was a doctor and conversation veered towards doctor-talk, etc... OVERALL IMPRESSION: The experience was very positive. I was pleased with his staff, the efficiency of the system, and the physical space. Dr. Hosein was kind, experienced, professional and knowledgable. I will return to him again and--this is a KEY consideration--I would send a member of my family to him. Constructive criticism: there was a long walk from the parking to the office (but it was free), though front-end staff assured me that once the construction was over, it would be easier to park. When I finally received a call back, Dr. Hosein spoke to me in a very rude and aggressive tone. He questioned who I was and stated that I was not a patient because he hadn't seen me in a year. I explained that I had been there about a year ago for my annual physical, but the interaction still felt dismissive and unprofessional. At no point was there any effort to review my records or handle the request professionally. I understand that offices have policies, but the way this was communicated was unacceptable. This experience left me feeling disrespected and unsupported. Needless to say, I will not be returning and would not recommend this doctor based on my experience.

The office actually answers their phones and returns calls. They accept most insurance, and the Doctor is affiliated with several area hospitals. This is important in case you are admitted for some reason. He has great reviews on WebMD and Healthgrades. The staff is friendly and asks/answers all my questions. Conveniently located off Federal Highway, but parking lot is a bit small. I wish the waiting room had better magazines, but the wait was minimal.

I should note that when he came into her hospital room, he did not introduce himself or even say that he was a doctor. The appointment at his office was scheduled for 8:40 AM, and we arrived on time. The waiting room was full of people, including several in wheelchairs -- my sister among them. We waited for more than an hour before the receptionist finally handed us the forms to fill out. After returning the completed forms, we waited about another 30 minutes, only to be told that we would be seeing the doctor's assistant because the doctor was "in the hospital." We were outraged and refused. Somehow, the doctor did eventually appear in the office, and we were finally invited in. In total, we waited at least 1 hour and 40 minutes in the waiting room. Inside the exam room, we were greeted by a nurse (unfortunately I do not remember her name) who was very polite, attentive, and thorough. She asked many questions, and this took another 40 minutes. We have absolutely no complaints about the nurse. However, it is reasonable to expect that the office should have already obtained this information from the hospital, where my sister had been Dr. Gupta's patient. When Dr. Gupta finally entered the room, it looked as though he had simply popped in between two other patients. He spent no more than two minutes with us. He remained standing, did not sit down, did not ask any questions, and did not explain anything. He simply told my sister that she needed an EUS procedure -- without any explanation -- and rushed out of the room. The office is poorly organized, and the management clearly does not respect patients or their time. Sick people should not be forced to wait nearly two hours in a crowded waiting room. It is also worth mentioning that the restroom had no paper towels for drying hands. I do not recall another medical office where I have had such a negative experience. I cannot recommend this office or this doctor to anyone who values their time or expects a clear explanation of a treatment plan. It is worthwhile to look for another doctor and another office.

I made a the blood test this week. 3 days later, they called us to say that the 3 blood tests are inconclusive. This is not possible to have 3 inconclusive blood tests, I talked with the manager who said that QUEST made the mistake. After a few minutes, I asked a refund and she said finally that only one blood test is to redo. How can they say different stories in 5min. I asked a proof that QUEST made the mistake,with an email. I waited all day and they did not send the email, they did not make any phone call or voice message and did not make any refund. Their email on their website also does not work. How can you guys trust a doctor who does not care about his patients?

Once I thought about it, it was perfectly reasonable to have a large patient load in an area with such a high concentration of older folks. It's just a fact of life that older people have more stuff wrong with them than their younger counterparts, and there are simply not enough doctors (especially internists) to go around: ergo long waits both for appointment times and in their offices. My first meeting with Dr. Reznick was both pleasant and informative. He explained the concept of "concierge" medicine: to wit if you charge an upfront fee, you can limit your patient load accordingly and therefore carry a lighter patient load. In this way you can give the patients you do have much more expedient and intensive care. I didn't sign up with Dr Reznick at that time because as I said "I'm really not that sick (or old) and I didn't want to pay for something I wasn't going to use very often" Well, several months later, I did get really sick, and I immediately signed up with Dr. Resnick's practice because I felt I needed an interested and competent "quarterback" to help me through what turned out to be kidney cancer. I came though that operation fine and a subsequent one for a different reason at well. Sometime thereafter I developed hypertension, and he was there for me with compassionate, same-day service. So to sum it up I highly recommend this doctor and his practice. In the last few years I have encountered several medical conditions that I never had to deal with as a younger guy. I feel very confident that I am getting the Best medical care available. His staff is competent, efficient and understanding. He is a caring, competent professional, and the practice is the best I have ever used.
