The Old Globe Theater Complex actually consists of three very separate theaters. In fact, one of those theaters is an outdoor amphitheater. I picked up my ticket from the box office, wondered around the area; they have a restaurant where you can enjoy some drinks and food if you like and also your ticket gets you a discount for the Prado! I was here to watched The Hombres, which is shown in their smaller theater. It's very intimate, but even the furthest and worst seat seems good to me. I can see everything clearly and the seat was adequately comfortable.

I highly recommend experiencing this for yourself if you have the chance.

For starters, you pay $5/person to get in and that is actually a credit at LeStats next door so you're basically paying nothing. But seriously?!? $5 to laugh and laugh for an hour and a half?!? Yes please! The comics range from students to up and comers to a headliner. Al Gavi is the host and he's really energetic and positive. Most of the humor is above the belt, so don't expect to come here and find raunchy stuff. It's a really pleasant surprise. One thing I found is that, in the two nights I attended, every comic either has ADHD or thinks they might have it. They all joked about it. Hahaha When your night is finished, there are plenty of dessert spots nearby. It's a great way to finish the night because the show doesn't go too late. We are hooked on this place!

It remained closed until 2008 where it was restored and now it full of performances from comedy shows, plays and music. On this first time visit I came here to see Bobby Lee's stand up performance. Our seats were in the balcony level way above. At this level it is a little diffcult to see the stage as you have to angle your head down wards to see the stage. Viewable but its very far. The seats are very tiny and it difficult to walk across as every inch is used up in the theatre. Acoustic were great and the overall detail and restoration is amazing to look at. Great theatre venue overall but would recommend not sitting in balcony.

I love that my brain still thinks I can whip out fouettes, when in reality, I'm far from even 50% as flexible as I once was. But finding the right studio is about getting to have fun and dance. I attended a Jazz Funk class at Play Studio and it was so fun! I appreciated that the class was a challenge. This studio is suited for people with dance experience. While there are likely people here training to dance professionally, there are also people who are just here for fun. But, I like that the classes are at a level that create a challenge and keep your brain moving as you move through the choreo. I hate a boring class and this wasn't the least bit boring at all. The class moved quickly! The vibe was good and it feels like there's a nice community here. I love the variety of options they have and I'm excited to try a pom class next. The studio is located on the second floor of the building. Parking in the area is tough. Although the studio has a parking lot, there are very few spots. There are paid spots across the street, but it's tough to find a free spot, so leave yourself some time.

It is a pre fix salad/dessert menu, but for entrees you have quite a few options, including a Vegan one for Vegan people. So the price is for the show and dinner. Drinks are separate. We ordered lots of different things from the menu and it was pretty good. Coconut Shrimp was the best for me. We had reservations for 7pm, doors opened 645pm. We were able to take pics with the Drag Queens on stage, start dinner. Show started around 8:20pm and lasted until around 10pm. Super entertaining, fun, amazing outfits, very spicy and sassy language. So if you feel embarrassed easily it is not your place to go or maybe yes! To get out of your comfort zone. Great place for celebrations! Birthdays, anniversaries, bachelors and even a divorce celebration! Take cash for tipping the show girls. No change, no worries, they walk around your table giving you change of 1 dollar bills. The only thing that would make Lips even better is that the furniture is a little run down, seats and booths need upholstered and to be updated. Sign outside is also missing half of the sign lights. So with a little TLC to the place it can it a completely more vibrant ambiance than what it already is. Thank you Lips for making my birthday celebration a blast!
