Breaking Down Walls - Free Hustle Fit Camps for the Community

In September of 2022 I had the opportunity to be in attendance for the first ever Hustle Academy…read moreConference & Expo. This event was open to all, but free for ages 18-25. The two day event was packed with information and gave us useful tips on how to excel in the current world we live in. We got to hear from individuals from different industries and were able to ask them questions, which was great! Through the conference I was able to receive a sponsorship from BDW to learn how to trade, as well as gain mentorship from Lenny Walls himself, as well as Manny Diotte, Yvonne Aceves, and Ymelda Salas. Since then, I've had some powerful experiences and life changes, and a lot of it is through these mentors! Here's a few that stood out to me: -a lot of us went to Miami for a business conference for a November weekend and it was incredible! We did so much in the few days we were there and I felt like I really got to see another side of the people I was with! It was a bonding experience for sure! Got to eat a lot of food, hear people speak at the conference, and even were welcomed onto a yacht! Miami was beautiful and the experience from that weekend made it all so much better. -the mentees have had many opportunities to attend high end galas, holiday parties, and events. The events are so beautiful and it's been a great way to network and get a feel for what our futures may hold! -As for fitness, I've been able to attend one of Lenny Walls' Hustle Fit Camps (& I'm signed up to take another later this month). The event is free for all and inclusive. Lenny even gave us options to modify exercises based on our physical abilities. The fit camps usually run about an hour long and it's a lot of fun! I would recommend it for those looking for some family friendly fun that also keeps you moving! -More recently I've been working part time with Yvonne in her marketing business too! Work doesn't feel like work when it's with someone you like spending time with! I appreciate getting to work with someone I trust & learning from them while also being able to put my skills to use! -BDW and the mentorship I have been receiving also emphasize self-growth, and I feel like I have been able to do that with them through the mastermind meetings they host for us weekly as well as offering a safe space and advice for life events that come our way. They've made a conscious effort to push me to become my very best and I'm so grateful for them and all that they've taught me and continue to teach me!

Definitely a great organization!

This store has gone absolutely downhill and has no intention of getting any better. Besides the…read moreinsane spike in prices and taking away their senior discounts with no notice, they invested in self checkout registers ..where you have to be helped in order to actually check out. If you thought the restroom situation could not get worse, check the pictures out for yourself. The entire hour I was there, the speaker kept calling for assistance in the restrooms and when I entered, I was absolutely speechless. There was actual on the toilet bowl, no locks on any stalls, and you can expect for there to be no toilet paper or hand soap. I can't even begin to imagine what the men's looks like. I left appalled by my entire experience and encourage someone who has some knowledge in cleanliness to take care of this issue above all else.

My credit slip was the cashier writing on my slip that I was charged the wrong amount, I'm not sure how that will be interpreted by the next person to see it. I guess I'll find out. I should've noticed when she told me the total but there are so many people here because it's senior day and I just wanted to get through the line. Would've been nice to hear an apology for my inconvenience and overcharging me but they acted like it was my fault for not saying anything sooner. I gave the Two stars based on my experience today and the disorganization of items in the housewares, toys and misc. area...it's a mess.

Although, I love thrifting and finding affordable treasures, Goodwill is not one of my favorite…read morespots. I find that most of them have increased their prices to a ridiculous amount. Some of the items I find are over $20 dollars and not worth 1/2 that price. Unfortunately, the closest thrift store to me, is this Goodwill, so I visit it regularly. For this trip, I found a few items that I ended up leaving, and some were definitely too over priced. I have purchased some great items here and there, with excellent prices, but not today. The place has a good amount of items and staff can be friendly and helpful, so I don't mind ending up here once a week. Plus, they relatively organized and clean. I would recommend coming here because every so often, amidst the higher prices, there are some hidden treasures, such as a set of hard cover new books that sold for way less than the ones on the original sellers site. But it does take dedication and time, which is definitely a luxury.

I normally go for books, music and accessories. I'm always on the lookout for crafts but don't ever seem to find any worth purchasing. The only issue I've noticed is that most stores have an odor that immediately hits you the second you walk in. Perhaps the stores need to invest in deodorizers or something. The Cibolo location reeks of dog. The IH10 location reeks of old/dirty clothes.
