Overcharged!!!!We were customers for over 20 years. This business was previously owned by Lynn schilling, who has unfortunately passed away and transferred the business to Spanky, who is now upcharging for standard services in a way that the previous owner would not have. I recently had to replace our old 75 gallon gas water heater. it took 2 hours of work including draining andhauling away the old unit. We were charged $7100. The new water heater retails between $1800 and $3000 dollars. Angie's list estimated this degree of work to be less than $1000 dollars. We clearly were overcharged and taken advantage of. I called Uneeda when a mainline valve blew a leak unexpected. They were able to get me booked the following day (on a holiday), they showed up early and got the work done and did a great job. Jason explained all the work he did and even went beyond the call and added a section of pipe to move the valve up because he was concerned the valve was getting too close to the floor and would require concrete work if anything happened in the future. I won't lie, I have become so used to poor service I was pleasantly shocked at the great service provided by Uneeda for it is a skill lacking in most businesses now days. UNEEDA PLUMBING OWNED BY LYN SCHILLING DESERVES A PERFECT SCORE OF 5 STARS! NOT ONLY FOR THEIR WORK WELL DONE BUT ALSO FOR THEIR HONESTY AND INTEGRITY, MISSING IN A LOT OF WORKERS DOING THEIR JOBS! Our drain at the doorstep outside of our basement was badly clogged and for the first time rain water sipped in the basement where our washer and dryer are set up. I was glad the water was just in a limited area but enough to scare us. I hired someone listed in ANGIE'S LIST and here on YELP. It was a big mistake. I have no idea why I did not think of calling UNEEDA PLUMBING. I thought outside drain problem issue is not one they will do because I was under the impression they will only they will do because I was under the impression they only handle big assignments like the heating system set up as they did for us about a couple of years ago....piping incorrectly set up which they will redo, etc. that was done in our house before the new heater was installed. I forgot about 5 or more years ago Lynn came over to fix our bathroom drain and kitchen sink. He did a great job. He was highly recommended by Sheila O'Keefe a friend and neighbor. She knew him as a little boy who came along with his Dad doing Sheila's plumbing. I was told their work was expensive but it did not deter me to hire UNEEDA PLUMBING. On this 3rd job for us, Lynn Schilling came with one of his workers and they did a great job. I told him that years ago, someone who snaked our drain broke his instrument. Mr. Schilling did not encounter any snag in resolving the drain problem atall unlike the previous plumbing company. His charge was $200.00 and recommended to be mindful of debris and leaves....make sure it does not enter the drain to prevent future clogging so water can get through the drain and not enter the basement again. Another Plumbing company came a few days before UNEEDA, unable to do the job and still asked for $150.00...original charge was $250.00 with a Senior Citizen discount of $50.00. Technically, I should have been just charged only a $50.00 travel fee since they were unable to do the job. UNEEDA with their work well done only charge $200.00. The idea that UNEEDA IS TOO EXPENSIVE is proven wrong in my case. I highly recommend UNEEDA for all PLUMBING PROBLEMS, BIG AND SMALL, AND EVEN BEYOND BECAUSE THEY ALSO DO BATHROOM REMODELLING, ETC. Thank you Lyn Schilling for fixing our drain. I will never again make a mistake of hiring another plumber. UNEEDA PLUMBING is the company one can trust to deliver a JOB WELL DONE. Great Service I found out about "Uneeda Plumber" through "Nextdoor Twinbrook" a social media site. I must be honest, I always get 2-3 estimates on most everything I do. When I met Spanky and Herman I didn't need to look further My garbage disposal was bought and installed with in 2 hours. Luckily, they had a disposal on the truck and as if that wasn't enough, Spanky made it so that I didn't have to plug the disposal in for each use as I had for 20 years ! Spanky and Herman worked well together and complimented each other in skill, while being efficient at thier craft. I will call "Uneeda Plumber" in the future for all my plumbing needs. read more

My water heater was leaking and Uneeda arrived w/in 24 hours to install a new one. Uneeda was referred to me by my long time HVAC company, Kane Heating. Lynn Schilling (the owner) explained everything I needed to know about the new one and the small touches he had taken care of as well (new valve, etc). Since I don't have a drain in the basement, he suggested I get a water alarm in case of any future leaks. Though I doubt there will be any now with a new system! :) I really appreciate it when service people are proactive like that. He also installed a new Kohler kitchen faucet which I love already. Better quality than the one I purchased at Costco. He and his assistant, Seamus, work together well, like a doctor and trained assistant in a surgery theatre. They left all work areas clean and swept and hauled away all old materials. I felt very comfortable and respected as a homeowner. I look forward to the possibility of their installing a bathroom in the basement. I don't know whom else I would trust so well. read more

They were highly recommended by a friend, so in August had them install plumbing fixtures (garbage disposal, in-sink filters) and fix some toilets. The bill was significantly higher than they quoted (final bill was $5,000!), but we paid. Called them this week to fix the garbage disposal. The rep said "Since it's been less than a year it's under warranty and there won't be a trip charge." The service guy came, pulled something out of the disposal (finished in less than 2 minutes) and told me there would be a charge of $165. When I called the company to complain, they said "too bad, the person you talked to didn't know what she was saying." If I had known, I would have had the apartment building handyman try to fix it - but the Uneeda rep said it was under warranty and told me that I should be careful as I didn't want to potentially invalidate the warranty. Would never use them again or recommend them. They are very expensive, plus obviously they don't stand by their service. We spent 5K and they wouldn't give us a break on a service call. Just the facts. My water heater wasn't working, so I called Uneeda. It was a Saturday. Technician came out, and in 10 minutes told me the water heater was "dead," but still under warranty. Told me to call the plumber that installed it. Charged $155.00, their full, weekend hourly rate, because they don't break an hour down into smaller segments. I had called Uneeda instead of the plumber who installed the water heater because I trusted Uneeda more than the other plumber. A $155.00 mistake. read more

Came home to my neighbor getting work done by this company...the work truck was parked in one of two of our reserved parking spaces. Due to the size of the truck it was taking two parking spots. Had no problem I figured I'd just give the number on the truck a call and let them know. As I was outside calling, a younger gentleman came outside and told me it was his truck and they'd be about 5 minutes. I responded with I understand but I'd really appreciate if you all parked up along the side instead so this spot can be free for my mother as she returns home from work shortly and so I can fit into the other spot as well. The kid said sure no problem..a few seconds later an older guy (I believe to be his supervisor) comes outside on edge saying "We're not even in your spot, you better not have been rude to him or we're going to have a problem" I responded with "why would I be rude, I understand you all are doing work but my mom needs to park when she comes home. We're actually assigned two parking spots and you're taking both" he responds again with "you better not have been rude or we'll have a problem". I politely laughed and once again said "what is there to be rude about"...the older gentlemen I believe to be his supervisor walked over to the younger gentleman after he moved the car to a better location. As they both walked back towards me and the house they were doing work in I said to the younger gentleman "was I rude to you?because your boss thinks I was" And he responded with a smile "not at all as nice as can be" and we both chuckled. However I don't appreciate the threat the supervisor made for NO REASON AT ALL. WHATSOEVER. Something to think about before doing business with a company like this, a few rotten eggs can make the entire batch spoil. read more
