The youngest of our daughters recently married the man of her dreams in Gaylord, Michigan, a lovely…read moretown in the north of the state, but one with which I was totally unfamiliar. After a couple of trips up there, I found BJ's and the experience with them was as close to perfect as it gets. First, the staff, including front-liners Ronda and Elizabeth, were stellar. They were pleasant, knowledgable, cooperative and willing to provide whatever it was our daughter desired and that was just in the planning stages. They proved to be problem-solvers along the way with both the catering and the rental of all of the equipment, tables, chairs, pews, bars, tents and the like for an outdoor wedding on a beautiful Northern Michigan lake. Weather was a factor on set-up day, including rain and hail, but they persevered through it all and on the big day, BJ's had so many people there that it was astonishing. Everything--and I mean everything--went off just beautifully as our daughter and her new husband, together with family and friends, had the times of their lives in an evening that won't soon be forgotten. Guests went out of their way to let me know how good the food was and everyone celebrated well into the night. The BJ's staff was there and on each little issue that arose, e.g. running out of vodka whereupon they dispatched someone to the store. Moreover, all of this for 200 guests did not cost my life savings. Everything was spelled out in advance and was reasonably priced in my estimation. I would recommend BJ's to anyone for any sort of event and if I had any more daughters (please don't jinx me), I would go back to this company without hesitation. Thanks to each of the BJ's staff for making the wedding a day and night for our daughter to remember always. As a dad, that's all I ever wanted.

Taylor Rental refund policy is misleading and unfair. They state the 50% deposit is non refundable…read morebut also state partial refund if notified within 30 days. They do not offer partial refunds even if notified outside the 30 days. This is an unfair business practice given that the 50% covers such costs as pick-up and delivery where no costs were incurred. I'd deal with someone else whose refund policies are more in line with fair, reasonable and reputable business practices.

Unfortunately our daughters wedding will not happen now in September and we requested a full refund. I can understand if they could not refund the total amount , but to refund only 20% is unreasonable, especially when there is 5 months left until the wedding and the majority of items are already in stock. It's unfortunate, but I sincerely can say if the tables were turned, I would make a concerted effort to return the refund. My wife said the in speaking with Marie that she was cold and not receptive to hearing what she had to say. Needless to say Taylor Rental will not be receiving any recommendations from us.

Mistakes can happen and they certainly did for our son's wedding when a trailer full of banged up,…read morefilthy chairs arrived to our venue. Our crew of helpers got right to work and literally cleaned all the chairs (because what else are you gonna do with hours to go until the wedding), as I called to express my dismay about the condition of the chairs-- come to find out they were the wrong ones--the drivers took the wrong trailer. So add another hour by our helpers, to hustle and get the chairs back on the trailer and then wait an additional hour for the crew to return with the correct ones. While the correct ones weren't filty, they did need dusting. Thankfully with our sweat equity, the correct chairs were placed in time for the wedding. However, to add insult to injury, when I asked for a discount on these very expensive chairs given the debacle, the manager informed me "they did nothing wrong" and "got us the chairs in time". His offer to reduce our $960 chair order by $50 was a joke. Cannot recommend a company that doesn't own their errors and make things right for their customers--especially when it comes to momentous occasions like a wedding. The tone, defensiveness and general lack of concern for our experience over the phone made me twice as unhappy --and that was no mistake.

As the wedding approached, it was nigh impossible to get him to respond to calls, texts, or emails. When I did finally get a hold of him, he did not really seem to know who I was, and was planning to bring equipment that we had mentioned we wouldnt need anymore months prior. We asked for a written quote on multiple occasions, and was not given the time of day. The day before the wedding, we still had not heard from him about our equipment, and would not answer calls or texts from myself, my husband, nor my father! We ended up using another vendor, which turned out to be easier and cheaper. Called to let him know we did not need to use him, and of course finally answered on the 1st ring. The most unprofessional person I have ever had the misfortune of working with. Avoid at all costs, and seek someone else for you vending needs.
