We recently moved to Fl and are on the hunt for "our" restaurants. Passed Uncle Eddie's and thought it looked inviting from the outside. Decided a good way to see if it was a fit was to try their prix fixe menu. Usually I read about the restaurant beforehand, but neglected to do it this time. How surprised were we when we were met in the lobby by a skeleton dressed up to be Joe Biden and a Trump 2024 sign? As business people, we were always trained to never mix politics with business. At the moment, we are against both candidates, but that's not important, we were there to eat. 1- we had to ask for prix fixe menu and the man who sat us wasn't even sure they were doing it, even though their website said they were. 2-waiter was disinterested, but did his job 3- portion size of main course was small, although appetizer and dessert were normal 4-busser made sure we didn't sit with dirty plates 5- food was excellent. Conclusion: food was great, but restaurant wasn't welcoming. The political BS shouldn't even be something I need to review. My husband wants me to add- it seemed like if they don't know you, you aren't welcome. We had better rapport at Sonic. Not worth going somewhere that makes you feel like a burden. This is a must experience. From the masterfully created cocktails and extensive wine list to the Table-side Caesar salad created by Uncle eddie himself, to the delicious menu options. My sons favorite is the Chicken Parm, two Juicy cutlets with a homemade sauce to die for. My favorite is the Pork Chop. I had planned on taking a picture but the moment the dish was placed in front of me I couldn't help but indulge. So juicy, flavorful with the perfect compliment of Broccoli rabe and Peppers. This review is only for the ambience. I was searching for a. new restaurant to celebrate a special birthday. The menu looked good so Uncle Eddies was chosen. When my family and I arrived we were immediately turned off by the off key loud singer and the disgusting display of management's political views. Besides a sign for their choice of candidate there was a skeleton dressed with T shirt mocking the opponent. I feel that If a restaurant owner feels the need for such a display my discretionary spending is best spent elsewhere. I will be sure to share my experience with friends. read more

Before I go off on this place, I would like to say that I came on Christmas Day 4 pm walk-in. One waiter and hostess were cool, but the place sucked. The music out of nowhere changed to house for a few songs, made sitting outside pleasant. So now for all the terrible things. First, it says "Good for Kids" on Maps, and when I ordered drinks, I asked for a kids cup and the waiter could not deliver. You cannot say you're "good for kids" and give them water in the glass short-stem glasses. It did not make sense. No kids menu, nothing. -Menu was changed for Christmas and it was hidden at the bottom of the website. It was crazy priced and most items from normal menu were gone. We wanted to order something they had listed under the menu section of their website, called "Prix-Fixe" and even on that, they have their hours and days listed for that, they could have at least put "excluding holidays", so we didn't go in there with the expectation of being able to order this. -After, the people from the table next to us, whom ordered after us got two orders of breadsticks and we got only one. I began to get upset. -Weirdly while this was all happening our servers were switched for god knows what reason, and the second waiter actually came out seeing that our order wasn't out yet and said he will see to it. -Then the people at the table over got their order and we got a server who came to apologize that our order didn't even get put in. At this point I was over an hour and a half with a small serving of bread sticks for me my wife and two kids and only one glass of wine (which I also waited probably 20 min for)... TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Worst of all the owner came out, he didn't comp the meal, didn't offer a discount or offer any way to make it up to us. I cannot believe the lack of customer service. He brought the pizza out, after we asked just to put it una "to-go" box because at that point we were tired of waiting and had somewhere to be. The dude also told us that they weren't making pizza to go today, even though the whole time we were sitting outside we saw at least 5 people walk out with pizzas! Lied to our faces. Didn't care about the service he provided us and was terribly inconsistent with my family and time and ultimately ruined our evening because we ended up having to cancel our plans. I am from Chicago, and this kind of service wouldn't fly. Eddie should really take some classes on how to properly take care of his restaurant customers, or get out of the business cause he SUCKS! Oh one more thing, Al greatest thin crust pizza in the world" HAHAHA - Most mediocre or average is more like it. I almost forgot they did t even get the order correct. I order a margherita with pepperoni and thy forgot the pepperoni, but wait, THEY STILL CHARGED ME for it! I mean class A (insert word here)! read more

New to the area and just settling in. Called here to get takeout - which was quite nice. Started with the calamari and caprese. Calamari was perfectly fried and the marinara was sweet. Of course when you do take out it isn't as hot as it would be if we had it in house. But I'm ok with that. I really enjoyed it. The caprese was good and the tomatoes were fresh. It comes with balsamic which it really doesn't need. Just good olive oil and a really good sea salt! We got two pastas - the cinghiale bolognese and the housemade pappardelle with wild mushrooms... the Papparadelle was excellent!! My husband and I shared both dishes and this was our favorite. The portion was huge and really was enough for both with the two appetizers. The bolognese was an interesting twist to the bolognese we all know and love. We have eaten here before but were very disappointed in the food the last time. The sausage, orecchiette, and broccolini was watery, pasta overcooked and the sausage bland. The eggplant dish ordered by another diner was not good either. Eddie's tries to be upscale but has really gone downhill. The Ceasar salad is made at the table and this is entertaining but not worth the price. The singer is entertained with tired Italian songs and Eddie joins in but the music is loud and makes it hard to have a conversation. I'd skip this one and try somewhere else. read more

I took my father to Uncle Eddies for father's day. The decor reminds me of an Italian restaurant up north. We had Danny as our waiter and was excellent. It has a fun family atmosphere with good entertainment, and some karaoke going on especially on Sunday from what were told. The food was very underwhelming. The food was not tasty and the appetizers although not too expensive were very small, which made it hard to share. We had six adults and ordered three appetizers and 3 salads to share. The service was subpar, partly because our waiter was an older gentleman who could not hear. We ordered the table side Caesar salad for two and another beet salad special. He said we could not have the Ceasar made table side which we were looking forward to because we did not want anchovies. This made no sense. He also rushed us on ordering, but I have to admit they did not rush us out of the restaurant. Your food is really good, but you are not. I was excited to try out your place, so I made a reservation for a special Valentine's Day dinner. Got my hair done and dressed up. We sat and waited for our table for about 40 minutes despite having a reservation. We watched other people come in and get seated before us. We feel like we were forgotten. We had to say something to finally get seated. While trying to enjoy dinner, a waiter spilled liqueur down my back, into my hair, and all over my purse. The owner saw it, came over and wiped me with a napkin and said oh it won't stain it's only water. Well, water doesn't smell like licorice, but Sambuca does. It also makes your hair very sticky. And your purse. Guess what was done about it? Nothing. My hair that I just got done was ruined and I had to go home and wash it. My shirt was stained for the rest of the evening. This was Valentine's Day and you ruined it. I even called and left a message and gave you my name and number. You never responded. You suck. read more

Discovered Uncle Eddie's here on Yelp and it couldn't have been more fun. The food was delicious and the wine list varied and affordable. Sat in a comfortable booth and really enjoyed our experience, but the surprise here was the entertainment. A very talented piano singer livend up the night and eventually passed the mike to the owner, himself. He had a wonderful voice and belted out some classics. Brought my father who lives here in Tequesta and had never been here, but is now looking forward to coming back with his gf and friends. A great find and a classic spot. Great cannoli too. We were in Palm Beach Gardens for the holidays and were trying to figure out where to go for Christmas dinner. The concierge at the PGA Resort suggested Uncle Eddie's. There was an abbreviated menu but there were enough choices to satisfy our table. The service was wonderful, old world Italian service. The food was delicious with very generous portions. I had a veal chop, parmigiana style, another guest had a chicken dish and the third a very large salad. Dinner was accompanied by an incredibly talented singer/piano player, he was terrific. Then, without warning, Uncle Eddie started signing and making his way around the room. Corny, yes, but very enjoyable and fun for the entire dining room. However on this visit the wonderful atmosphere was spoiled when the piano player began to play because he cranked up the volume way too much. To his credit, Eddie walked over and turned down the volume. However, as soon as Eddie walked away the musician turned it back up. We then left. Bottom line: avoid Uncle Eddie's on Wednesday and Thursday evening when the music begins at 7pm and is obnoxiously loud. read more

We were ignored while the host confronted another employee about a 'situation' they were handling..... The experience (aside from the food) was all downhill from here: 1. Long wait for food...sat down 6:30 -- appetizers came an hour later 2. 3 appetizers were forgotten and then added later when we brought attention to these items 3. One entree was completely wrong and we were told it would be 10+ minutes to make the change 4. Uncle Eddie's is completely understaffed! One would expect to be offered pepper / salt / an additional drink when an entree is served, but all they are concerned on is moving onto the next! Horrible for the prices! Overall, horrible service for high prices. You would expect 5 star service for their prices. Needless to say, we will not be coming back soon. read more
