After several months, I had a setback and my therapy was terminated, leaving me much worse than when I started.

Although we dated for several years before getting married, we welcomed our daughter just a year after being married. We finally had the perfect little family that we always imagined, but truthfully our marriage was struggling. Cathie has been amazing! She has provided us with invaluable tools to improve on our communication and ignite the spark that we lost over time. I love that Cathie is compassionate, yet straight forward. For the first time in a long time, my husband and I are truly enjoying each other again! If you are struggling with your relationship or just looking for tools to better improve your marriage I would highly recommend reaching out to Cathie. My husband was initially hesitant about seeking counseling and he will agree that it was the best decision we've ever made for our family. We are extremely grateful for Cathie and her guidance!

If a medical professional belittles you or responds defensive to questions, that is a huge Red…read moreflag. Get a 2nd opinion! I took my son here on the recommendation from other doctors for counseling. That he might be having his symptoms from anxiety. He was having some medical problems but no medical abnormalities were showing up with orthopedics, GI docs, cardiologists, that explained it all. A nurse practitioner here started treating him for anxiety and the meds took the edge off which helped. After about a year I became concerned, that something else was still going on. Symptoms were getting treated but not the root cause, things were getting worse again. When I asked the NP if we should explore other causes, she asked me, "like what?", "are you concerned about ADHD or something?" I said I didn't really know anything about it but would like to hear her opinion or discuss other possibilities. Then she said, "I just see two stubborn personalities." Right in front of my son!!!!! I tried to politely get through that appointment but I'm sure my shock was showing. I never went back! Since then I found an awesome doctor for a legit psychology eval for my son. Full blown ADHD. I had no idea! ADHD is not what I thought it was and it does not always mean your kid is hyper. I wasn't even looking for that diagnosis and honestly questioned it at first. Especially since my recent experience with incompetence at this place. The attitude and ignorance of the NP I was working with was completely unprofessional and lacking in differential diagnosis. Since my son started a small dose of ADHD meds and I have learn a lot of tools for the ADHD brain, our world has completely changed for the better. This all happened in the fall, about 6 months ago. Looking back I can see more clearly. I have since found out that not all nurse practitioners can prescribe the meds for ADHD. I don't know if that is the case here but it does make me wonder. I'm sure some correctly refer out and reach for other resources when they need to, like good medical professionals , even if it means transferring a patient elsewhere, which would have been helpful. This one however did not and chose to be defensive, or something, instead. Ask questions! Just because someone says it, does not make it true. My son does have anxiety, partly correct diagnosis, but there was an underlying problem, that was getting overlooked!! Not on accident, but by ignorance of this NP, after so long. I regret I didn't see it sooner. Hope I can help others avoid this situation. CHADD.org has been a great resource if you are curious or need a 2nd opinion. I have no connection to it except I learned what ADHD is and isn't, also other resources in the area.

And apparently shouldn't have prescribed me anything considering I hadn't, and still haven't seen a therapist. Zero stars. To be clear, the people in the actual facility are very nice. However, the companies practice is really really really bad. Unless you just want virtual sessions which they push very hard, mindful health has been literally zero help to me. It's actually been the opposite with the medication they prescribed. I've had a net negative experience with them.

BUT....my son has been here against his will (but he really needs to be here) for the past 3 weeks. We have tried unsuccessfully to develop a treatment plan with the staff that works for my son, for us and his outside psychiatrist. I was only allowed to speak to a doctor AFTER he already decided on his own what med to put my son on and in the same conversation, I was told they are ready to discharge him tomorrow. The drug he chose is 1) old school medication from the 1960's - there are much newer ones out there with fewer side effects and 2) My son was given an injection of it - so we are stuck with that one for the next month and 3) the side effects of this drug are a huge concern for my son, since the drug they chose can trigger some of the issues he has had in the past (which I could have told them if they had consulted with me about it). I did notice that the more I tried to get involved with my son's recovery, the more distant the staff was to me. I have contacted Disability Rights Texas. Reading the other reviews broke my heart even more, especially since they are dated during this same time period in 2019! =(

I was hospitalized here for 8 days at the end of July, and this was easily the worst medical…read moreexperience I've ever had. I didn't see a doctor for the first 3 days. When I asked to leave to seek proper care, they filed court paperwork to keep me there. My approved vegetarian diet (ordered day one) was not honored. Every single meal I was told "you're vegan" and that my request needed approval--then asked for my name to "check if it was ordered." This happened daily. I would sit through most of the meal time with nothing, only to be given scraps like an old PB&J, a plain vegetarian patty, or lettuce with a packet of ranch. Other patients even noticed and spoke up because of how poorly I was treated. When I asked for the correct food, staff talked about me loudly and disrespectfully within earshot, and I felt mocked. I only saw my assigned caseworker once, yet my family was told I was being seen regularly. Most concerning were safety issues--another patient's vitals were charted under my name, and I was given blood pressure medication despite already having very low blood pressure. Disorganized staff, poor communication, and basic care were lacking. Patients deserve far better than this. I would strongly caution anyone considering this facility. But at least you can rely on being billed for care that you didn't receive and food that you never got to eat. this place is nothing but a insurance scam.

In 2020 we were navigating Covid, 2 kids under 2, and an intense medical journey with our disabled son to find out his exact diagnosis. Our marriage struggled through the typical SAHP vs working parent dynamic. My husband was overworked and stressed from being the sole provider for our family during this difficult time. I was complete overwhelmed by day-to-day life with 2 very young kids plus the added stress of navigating (mostly virtual) specialist Dr appts, therapy (physical, speech, and occupational), and learning everything I could about child development to help my son at home since our access to professionals was limited. Susan sided with my husband. I specifically remember her suggesting I allow him 20 minutes to "decompress from his work day" when he comes home. The final straw was when she suggested once a week or so I tidy the house before he gets home and greet him at the door with a fresh cocktail. This is after the fact that we had told her multiple times we are not big drinkers (which kept coming up since oddly many of her suggestions for spending quality time together included drinking). Gag. My husband was equally mortified by these suggestions (even though they benefit him) and we made the mutual decision to discontinue therapy.

She's loving, caring, patient, and always has the best recommendations for me. She has been the best counselor I have personally ever had! I loved it when she would show me videos, talk me through them, and ask me what they meant to me. I also loved when she would ask me what are the good and bad things that had happened that week. Whenever I would speak and or think negatively, she would show me a more positive way to look at it. Ever since I have been going to her, I have never spoken, thought, and acted so positively in my life! I still enjoy it when she gives me tips and tricks to help me manage my chronic pain and the way I think! She's always been such a fun person to talk to! Overall, I highly recommend going to see Ms. Susan and her cute dachshunds!

Regarding the prior review someone left about not announcing moving location I am confused because Rebecca clearly communicated her plans to move locations well in advance - If I recall well we first received a general message via the portal letting us know of a move although the date was not set yet. I did not experience her changing location without notice. In any case, I have been edited from her work consistently. Her work with horses follows the Lifemanship approach and is very practical. Sessions focus on noticing how the horse responds to posture, breathing, timing, and how much pressure is used. When pressure is too strong or too weak, the horse responds differently right away. Rebecca helps you notice this and adjust your approach in the moment. Rebecca also uses conversation when that is what I need on a given day. She helps identify thought patterns and reactions that get in the way, which we can then work on with the horses, and she also listens carefully and helps me feel heard when that is what is needed. Based on my experience, Rebecca is a skilled, thoughtful, and reliable therapist.

I waited over a year to see Rebecca Hubbard then saw her as a client for approximately 2 months. Rebecca Hubbard just up & quit the other facility without notifying any of her clients. This was extremely disturbing knowing that many of her clients suffered from complex PTSD from abuse & have serious trust issues. Rebecca Hubbard obviously did not think anything about telling me & her other clients she was leaving. She made no effort to assist in finding another therapist. I would be extremely cautious in using Rebecca Hubbard as a therapist. She may write cute stories but her values are not in maintaining trust with her clients. She'll up & leave without a word. In my opinion, that is not healthy nor helpful to children or adults who count on her to be there or at least tell them she's leaving. Not trustworthy.
