The shop is absolutely adorable, with the right amount of variety to find something perfect without feeling overwhelmed or feel like a factory. You can tell the dresses and designers are carefully selected. Beyond the stunning, quality dresses, the service is what will stay with me. Amy was so thoughtful in her approach, asking the right questions and creating a comfortable, focused experience for me and my mom. She was kind, patient, and genuinely supportive, even as I navigated all the emotions and anxieties that come with throwing a wedding - to put it lightly :) I live in San Francisco, and after trying several shops there, I'm 100% confident about purchasing my dress at Wedding Belles. They are truly a calm and fun stop in the craziness that is wedding planning. Highly recommend!

This shop consists of a small team based in New Orleans so patience is key. That said, the overall process was seamless and I received timely updates once the first item shipped. The Hamsa flat back stud is super cute, and now I am eagerly waiting for the mini snake flat back stud to arrive. Overall solid experience - will definitely purchase again from PL.

My experience with Porter Lyons has been the worst I've ever had with a 'fine' jeweler. My fiancé…read morerecently purchased a ring from them, and it arrived with significant quality control issues. It was clear the ring was not properly built; the stone was visibly loose, wobbly, and audibly rattled with any movement. A different jeweler we took it to for repair explained the prongs were incorrectly installed/made and lacked the indentions needed to secure the stone. This shoddy craftsmanship was concerning, but what followed made the experience truly unacceptable. The ring arrived without any appraisal paperwork, raising immediate concerns about the materials and stones used (though thankfully, everything ordered stone/metal wise was received, apart from the poor craftsmanship). When I contacted the store to express my concerns about both the ring's quality and the missing appraisal, my issues were repeatedly ignored and dismissed. I was falsely informed they didn't offer or even provide appraisals for items purchased from them. Furthermore, I was told I couldn't discuss my issue further without an order number and that even speaking to someone in-store about repairs would incur a fee. The associate I spoke to over the phone, who had a thick accent, even refused to give me her name. My fiancé's call with a sales associate on a different occasion reinforced that appraisals weren't provided or sent with pieces, and that they wouldn't fix the ring without a consultation fee. Conveniently, on a more recent call with upper management, my fiancé learned we could have brought the ring in under warranty for a free repair - this revelation came the weekend after we'd already paid 20% of the rings price to have it fixed elsewhere. He was told that there was nothing else they'd do for us except allegedly send us appraisal paperwork. It felt as though our legitimate concerns were consistently brushed aside without serious consideration, regardless of whom we spoke with. The sheer lack of accountability and dismissive attitude throughout this entire process was truly astonishing. Between receiving a ring whose quality did not reflect its price point, and being told to effectively absorb the cost by everyone I spoke to, my dissatisfaction is unmeasurable. I would strongly advise customers to reconsider purchasing from Porter Lyons. The combination of shoddy craftsmanship and utterly unhelpful customer service has left me appalled. I will never recommend them or purchase from them again.

Even though an unusual event triggered our visit to Town & Country, I know that we received their "usual" top-notch service. I've had other friends purchase their wedding dresses from this store and they all have wonderful things to say about their experiences. It's a smaller boutique and I highly recommend visiting. The staff was able to work with her after hearing what happened. They reached out to her before the appointment to see what the style of her original dress was. When we got to the store, the owner had already pulled four beautiful dresses that were the same style as the dress that was lost. The appointment was everything any bride could hope for. The woman who was helping my friend was AMAZING. She knew when to help, and when to step back. As soon as my friend picked out her beautiful gown. Champaign was brought in and the tailor started to fit the sample gown. The tailor was warm, friendly and professional. She spent the time going over options for how to take in the dress.

This place is unorganized and it looks like a place where dresses go to die. All the dresses were crammed on rolling racks which made it look cheap and impossible to browse. Don't let their Instagram fool you. Some of the dresses advertised on there are not even in-store! Of all the wedding places I've been to all over Metairie and NOLA, this place was the most disappointing. They didn't even offer refreshments and the appointment felt rushed. If you go, be prepared to pay for street parking!! Bride tip, why bother buying dresses from this place when all the other bridal stores in the area carry the same dress/designers for less the price and will give you a better experience. Don't waste your time on this place. Also, they charge you $100 before your appointment just to book where most places only charges you if you don't show. AVOID THIS PLACE. Not worth your time and energy. #dusty

My wedding reception took place here last December. I was completely smitten by the looks of the…read moreplace and feel, If you are looking for a very classy Louisiana vintage wedding, this is the place for you! The owner Bonnie when I met her for the first time, she seemed very classy and driven woman, which got me even more sold about the venue being the place. I love women with that type of energy. I took my time to gather my thoughts about leaving a review since then due to some scenarios that took place during the wedding reception day that have left me torn and unsure of how to rate and eloquently express myself to a point where I am not hurting their business nor I am hurting myself for keeping things to myself that other people should be aware of. Not only that, the staff have been hounding me over the phone for me to quickly leave a review ever since. So here it is: The reception was amazing up until the cake cutting. A good 90% of my family traveled from Puerto Rico to be with us that evening, and everyone wanted to say some words before the cake cutting. Not only their first daughter/child was getting married, but they have traveled to Louisiana weeks after Hurricane Maria devastated the island of Puerto Rico, leaving my family and hundreds of thousand puertorrican people with no power and 0 phone communication. They were happy to get out of that scenario and enjoy the week of my wedding and a week without seeing their neighbors and friends go through endless lines in gas stations and supermarkets to get supplies (if they got lucky). My dad, my mom, my sister in law made their speeches. When my brother in law's turn to make his speech, two minutes in, he got interrupted because they (the HoB) had a time schedule and were forcing us to cut the cake and get it over with because it was getting close to closing time for them. It was so rude that my invited guests where gasping in awe on how f*ckd that was on their behalf. -Therefore. If you are looking for a place to get married and have a lot of relatives and motives on having a long good reception. Do not go here, you will be disappointed. My father could not believe it as well as my brother in law. But everyone that was there took it well and made the best out of the situation. Luckily we had already planned a second line and the night got amazing right after. -Make sure you hound the ladies that are supposed to take care of you. If you do not call them or text them, they will not contact you until an hour or two before the wedding time. -DONT go to their recommended hair salons unless you go to the senior stylist specifically!! 4 people (me included) out of my 10 ladies that I reserved time for got really disappointed with the outcome of their hair. My hair in specific got fried with a curling iron and the lashes that I bought online and gave to one of the ladies got destroyed, because she obviously had no experience in putting lashes, let alone makeup. Please keep an eye. Some of my girls had to come back to their hotels and fix their makeup and hair (me included). I had to cut 3 inches off my long hair a few days after. It was horrible. BE CAREFUL. -Make sure you have someone that can take all of your things after the wedding, because they will kick you out! There is no "I'll pick it up first thing tomorrow". No. Its get your sh*t and get the f*ck out! -Make sure you have another destination for your wedding party to go to. You are going to need it! -You will end up with a lot of leftovers!!! My now husband and I took it upon ourselves to go around the french quarter and give the homeless and fellow street punk rockers some of our left over Hors d'Oeuvres and sandwiches while we were out for the night the evening after our wedding. So, aside from the hiccup of that evening, Bonnie was really nice and sweet to me the day we came back for our papers. She even gave me a little vintage clock from her own collection the next day that i was eyeballing since the first time she gave me the tour. I thought that was really cool of her and sort of made up for the unpleasant scene that happened during the reception. So in hindsight, I had a great time. But theres are a few things that I could have done without or done differently, but no wedding is perfect, right? Hope my review helps! Cheers!
