I learned of Una from the Handmade Arcade events at the convention center. I love it all!!! The lip balms have saved my chapped lips this winter. The handmade soaps, body scrub and body butter is beautiful / love the honey almond. I do have two absolute favorites though. One is the organic cuticle & nail rescue which I went through so fast that I had to order 2 more. I thought I'd be able to swing by and pick my order up - but had a family emergency and when I called to see if they could ship it they were so gracious. I also ordered a little Leo self care book (it's really cute). Everything was packaged beautifully. My second favorite is the Love Honey. Wonderful fragrance and is just a true gift!!! I came to Una after receiving some of their products as a Christmas gift from a co-worker and had some time to browse. The location is lower Lawrenceville, across the way from the round corner cantina and a few doors down from piccolo forno. However, it's easy to miss as it's a converted rowhouse that was not originally a shop, and so the space is intimate, like somebody's house. There are two floors, the first housing mostly the body scrubs and the body butter, the back of the first floor holds crystals, and upstairs has teas, books, and fun gifts for either yourself, friends, family, or your precious pets. The woman helping me was the owner, who was delightful and friendly, giving you just as much help as you would like, which in my case was not very much. She is a Pittsburgh-based and owned store, and so it's nice to be able to support such a budding business. What I love most about the products is that they are not sticky. I had the body butter, which has a few flavors as well as unscented, and it's nice to be able to step out of the shower in the winter and be able to add this to your routine, knowing that you will be moisturized and smell lovely without sticking to your clothes or getting product into your sheets. Also, the price is fair, especially as it's a small, locally-owned store. There's a variety of sizes and testers when you want to understand how they will smell or what they will feel like. Will come again, especially when it's time for me to look for Christmas gifts. read more

I love the vibe of this place! The staff members here are super friendly and willing to help answer any questions. Some of the products are made upstairs, so it's really local. The selection ranges from tea and candles to facial cleanser to deodorant. There are little testers for you to try out the products while browsing. The facial cleanser in rose scent is amazing! When purchasing the lady who rung me up gave me directions on how to use it to maximize the effect. Heavy shaking and two pumps is all you need! I've been back for the bug spray and can't wait to test the peppermint scent out. As someone who loves natural beauty products, this shop is great! The products are solid and the price is competitive to what you find in stores. For example, I was at Whole Foods looking for natural bug spray and only found one option for $13. At Una's, it's similarly sized product was $10. Also, as a busy pup mum, we combine walkies with errands. Pupster enjoyed the shopping adventure at Una's and the ladies loved him. Great little place to stop in if you are looking for a nontraditional gift for someone. Just happened to the case for me the other week. I try to find items that my mom would not only appreciate, but use. My mom is always looking for an item that will help keep her skin moisturized and this place delivered. Not only was I able to find something that would tickle her fancy, but something that has a smell that wasn't overpowering and one that she would enjoy. There are several different types of sizes that are great in case you just want to try a product, but larger sizes that allow for you to have on hand and not have to stop back in so frequently. This place has a great vibe to it and it doesn't smell too bad either. The staff inside are over the top with their attentiveness. As soon as we walked in we were greeted warmly and directed to check out some great items they have in store. We had mentioned about how well it smelled in here and we were informed that all items are made in house. Pretty great place to find some unique lotions and soaps. I LOVE Una Biologicals!! I get their subscription box and other things from time to time. I live out in the country and the mosquitos are awful out here, but the insect repellent is great for that! Also, the after sun care is my favorite because I peel like crazy after a burn usually. The sun care heals my skin so nicely I forget I had a burn in the first place! I can't say enough good things about this shop. My friend gave me one of their provencal lip balms as a gift, and it is seriously the best tube lip balm I have ever used. After I used it all up, I went into the shop to restock. The shop is beautiful, the staff is helpful, and every product I've bought from them has been lovely. In addition to the lip balm, I highly recommend the Luxe Face Cream (I have oily skin, and use this as an eye cream) and the Cuticle & Nail Rescue (most amazing product, after one week I have hands that aren't cracking!). The bruise balm is amazing. I have pale skin and play sports so I occasionally get bruises on my legs. They bruises are a nice "badass badge" for about a week, but then I want them gone. It's great to be able to find Una in one place. We have been purchasing from Jessica since her first days selling out of her home. We followed her to crafty areas to get our fix and now have one place to shop. Una products are just amazing. Everything is natural, with many vegan products for those who prefer them. The store is lovely. A turn of the century apothecary with many original features. Product displays are natural and simple, with emphasis on the products. Don't leave without trying an amazing body butter in grapefruit or lavender. There are two amazing products you must go there just to buy- the Bruise Healer and Wound Wonder. How can something really help to heal a bruise? I don't know but it works. Even my dad is a skeptic turned believer. Wound wonder? Same. But for minor cuts, scrapes and abrasions of course. They smell so fresh and truly work. The foot cream is so rich and one of the few I have found that make a difference on dry, summer heels. Once you stop in you will be an Una believer. I spotted this shop while sightseeing in the area and I'm so glad I went back during their business hours. The window to their shop is very "modern organic." There were three ladies working the morning we stopped in and each helped us but weren't overbearing or trying to push a sale. I had a heat rash and they instantly had a recommendatio -- their wound salve -- which they describe as a natural neosporin. We were also offered tea. One thing I really must compliment this shop about is their affordability. For natural handmade goods in my area, I would have expected to pay about double the price for the wound salve and foot butter I got. Another nice feature of their professional looking products is they include a recommended use by date. Most handmade vendors don't add that to their packaging. read more
