Let's start this off by saying that if I could give 0 stars I would. So, while transiting in the city for a night, we looked up all the restaurants around us to find a place for dinner. This one popped up on another review site with a 4.5/5 average review and given that we are avid sushi lovers, we decided to give it a shot. We arrived to the restaurant and were quickly seated. A look at the menu showed lots of sushi but also burgers/fries/thai food etc which should have been the first red flag. We started off with a mango coconut milk cocktail which was delicious but barely had any liquor in it as far as we could tell. We then told our hostess that we were going to order a few sushi rolls but that we wanted two of the rolls to be on a separate plate and she mentioned that it wasn't a problem. We proceeded to order 7 of their rolls and waited about 20 min for them to arrive. When the food arrived, we received one roll on a separate plate, one plate with 5 of the rolls and one main dish of salmon tartare which we hadn't ordered (we had ordered the salmon tartare roll). We were told it wasn't a problem and knew right away that they'd just repurpose the tartare on the plate into a roll..anyways, we started to approach the plate and quickly noticed that the rolls were all cut strange sizes. There was no consistency to the rolls and many of them were loosely rolled. It looked like something that someone who's never made sushi before would make. Tasting the rolls was the bigger issue here - most were bland, no fresh fish was used and a couple rolls actually gave us a bit of a gag reflex. The salmon tartare roll finally came and it was the worst salmon tartare we have literally ever had in our lives. Apart from the food being terrible and extremely expensive for what it was ($100+), we were not given side plates (basically ate the rolls over the table) and barely had any service (no water top ups, soy sauce without asking, etc). We left feeling totally ripped off and a little sad that we wasted our dinner (and money) on this place. If you are like us and have had a lot of good sushi in the past, avoid this place at all costs. It won't even measure up to food court sushi.... read more
