I used Umbrella for a move from LA to Vegas in early June. Weeks ahead of the big day, Amanda walked me through the price and gave me an accurate quote. Then she walked me through the process a few more times, because quite honestly I my mind was completely fried due to the big life change. Day of, the movers were on time and loaded everything efficiently. Umbrella was going to be flexible enough to hold my stuff a few days while I waited for escrow to close on my new home. Fortunately, we didn't need much time and they got me in my new home quickly. If you want a service that will keep your mind at ease and responds quickly to questions, I highly suggest Umbrella. read more

What: local move from a two-story house downsized to an apartment. We boxed everything ourselves and hired 4 men. Sean, Sean, Anthony and Edward were awesome. Quality: we were very happy with the communication, professionalism, punctuality and care given to our belongings. Amanda was responsive to my phone calls and texts. Value: we have moved many times over the years and have learned that more men = faster done = you pay less in the end than if you tried to get away with 2 men. These guys stayed fresh, were fast and efficient, and finished in 2 hours. We would hire them again in the future and definitely would recommend them. read more

Best moving experience! I just love the service. I had to reschedule twice cuz I didn't get the keys to my house (super frustrating). But I'm glad they were there to reschedule. Very professional. On time and careful! I had numerous delicate items which I wanted handled with extreme care. I would recommend them to everyone. I'm 40 now so didn't want to break my back well worth the price. No brainer for me :) read more

This was my second time using Umbrella Movers, and they were absolutely awesome both times! For this move, I was going cross-country using U-Haul U-Box containers, so I hired them to move my items from my apartment into the containers. The crew expertly navigated all of my furniture and boxes down a very narrow staircase and they were super fast! They were thoughtful in how they packed the containers, making sure everything was secure for the long journey. I'm happy to say all of my belongings made it thousands of miles and arrived safely and intact. I would definitely trust them again for any future moves! read more

I needed to move quickly, and decided to get movers since I was moving to an upstairs apartment. I was able to secure a time a week out, and I had Paul and T for moving. Nice guys, they were quick, and very careful with my things. Definitely recommend this woman owned company! read more

The movers try to scam you for more money even after you tip them. They constantly try to say you need to pay more. So unprofessional. I also reached out to them via text and got left on read and with no receipt. I paid over $1800 for a small move. Use someone else. read more

We basically did a double move and the morning started out ok. They showed up in a rental truck saying theirs was broken down and in the shop. One of the workers wasn't there but they assUred me I wouldn't be charged for his time until he showed up. At first they seemed to be careful and working hard. When they returned from lunch I would swear they were high. They were slower and less careful. Even the guy in reviving asked me if I got the workers from a corner or what. My furniture was banged around and drug. Instead of them being done in a day it took a day and a half. It took a few calls to o get back the one piece they damaged and were repairing. The rest I didn't even bother with pointing out because they would have had to take my whole apartment. I do not recommend using this company unless you have crappy furniture and you don't care. read more

I had a move on short notice. They were accessible, reasonably priced and did a terrific job on my local move. They called me to tell me they were on their way and expected to be a few minutes late. They were about right on time, maybe a minute after the agreed upon time. Both movers were professional, courteous and careful. They looked at the things I had and made the move very simple and easy. I would recommend these movers without question. The only thing I didn't like was that there was a $10 additional charge for them to wear masks; since there is a mask mandate in Nevada, that seemed unfair. But still, the price was great as was the service. read more

I hired this service a couple of months ago and was very pleased with the quality of service. I was moving out from a third story apartment with no elevators and also had to pickup furniture from my classroom. The movers worked nonstop when moving items from my apartment to the uhaul which I found impressive. Whenever they returned from a trip from loading the uhaul, they were wrapping up furniture and loose items while their legs were recovering. Everything was neatly packed and no items were broken or missing. I would absolutely hire this company again if I ever move back to Vegas. read more

Tony and Jordan moved my daughter today. What a fantastic experience! They were fast, super professional, and made a hard task into a one-morning excursion. The price was great and they were suprisingly easy to book. 100% recommendation! read more

Please do the research before booking with this company. A friend recommended Umbrella Movers in 2022. I used this company to move my furniture into a storage unit. Fast forward to 2024, I hire Umbrella Movers again. BIG MISTAKE! They were not cautious with my furniture. My expensive bedroom furniture was damaged along with my console. I requested the same ppl to move my things incase there was an issue I would know who's responsible. One of the movers I used in 2022 was available and it was very uncomfortable and cringe when he asked me out after the job was completed. Please INSPECT your things THOROUGHLY before paying. The movers are CARELESS and UNPROFESSIONAL. Corrine, (the office manager) has poor customer service etiquette. My issue has NOT been resolved. I asked for a confirmation for the insurance claim and nothing was provided. This business is not BBB accredited. There are a lot of moving companies in Las Vegas, please do NOT book this one! read more

Don't trust these guys. Definitely went as slow as they could to move my apartment literally one block away. My previous movers got the entire job done and moved us across town in less than 3 hours for $360. These guys took almost 3 hours just to pack up my house. The entire job took 4.5 hours and they charged me a whopping $879!!! Because they will not mention hidden fees then smack you with them at the very end when they're trying to rush the money out of you. You would think a professional moving company would tell over the phone that there could be possible hidden fees. Nope. Or you would expect the mover to have the courtesy to mention to you about the extra fee that theyre going to charge because of xyz. Nope. they will just make you feel like you got scammed at the end. Definitely don't use these guys unlesss you want your movers to go snail speed intentionally and charge you with secret fees. The only good thing I could say about these guys is that they did move our things carefully and packed it up well and securely. Still not worth nearly $900 when I could've used my previous guys and paid $400-$500 MAX because they were actually moving out stuff as quickly as they could and didn't take many breaks. These guys seemed like they took a 5-10 minute break every time they took something into the house. Or they'll be at the truck "organizing" & chilling. Don't get scammed by these guys take your business somewhere else !!! read more

The guys were super dudes. Super cool too. I can't begin to explain how heavy my furniture is, but I'll give some examples. The guys who moved me out of my grad school apartment asked me if they forgot to hollow out the tree trunk. The guys who moved me here from NC through up in the bushes after carrying the furniture down a set of stairs. These guys said "this ain't no IKEA furniture". Regardless the moved it around with ease and care! My stairs are tricky too! But they did it. And... we listened to some raggae tunes throughout the move! I'd definitely call them again! If you decide to use them, tip them well! They really appreciated the extra cash! Hi read more

Not only are they the best moving company ever it is ran by powerful women... I searched high and low for good qualified movers I called over 11 different moving companies. When I spoke with the owner of umbrella movers I searched no longer the experience that we had was one of the best ever.. Beyond professional, so careful with the Expensive items, being mindful of not bumping into walls, COVID-19 ready masked up and everything. Umbrella Movers helped me with a moving job, and I am very happy with this company. The lady in the office was wonderful and she worked with my schedule. They were personable, professional, and knowledgeable, with a good sense of humor. Everything went perfectly smoothly and everyone was a pleasure to work with. We've moved with Umbrella Movers 3 times in 3 years and every time is so incredible. Crew is professional, thorough, and quick and services are always very reasonably priced for time and manpower. In January 2020 they saved our butts when we had less than 24 hours to move after the previous company we hired backed out on us last minute and half a dozen other companies didn't have availability on such short notice. I'm talking SUPER short notice, like it was 15 minutes before they closed for the day and we needed to be out early the next morning so I was in a full-blown panic attack on the phone and the lady I talked to was so calm and reassuring. In August 2022 we had the most ideal, well-prepared moving situation we've ever had and everything went off without a hitch thanks in part to this company. Today was the 3rd time we've moved with them and despite a few bumps in the road on our end (having to change our moving date and adding an extra stop along the route all on incredibly short notice due to issues with our storage unit) everything turned out so wonderfully in the end. We can't thank this company enough for taking so much headache and hassle out of moving. We move so often we never look forward to it but we always look forward to working with Umbrella Movers making it so much easier on us. Thanks a million y'all!!!! read more

Tim and Tony were awesome! Tony came to my condo to take note of my belonging, through an inventory of the place. He was extremely professional and very nice about the whole thing. They know we are stressed out about packing and moving, in my case, on my own and out of state during the holiday season. They made everything go very smoothly. Tim and Tony were at my place on time, and they kept me updated throughout the delivery drop off as well. Since I chose a 15ft truck to do my move, they unassembled most of my furniture, wrapped it carefully and were troopers and Tetris masters on fitting everything in (I got pictures). At the end, there was no space for their dolly, but they figured it out a way to strap to the truck! True professionals!! On delivery day, they re assembled all my furniture and put it where I wanted in my new apartment. read more

Umbrella Movers - Tim and Tony (Umbrella Movers) playing Tetris - Movers Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

Great experience from start to finish! We were moving during the holidays and I needed a reputable moving company to hire. I turned to Yelp and Bingo I scored! I read a few reviews for this company and they all looked pretty good. I called and spoke with Corinne. We hit it off right away and chatted for quite a while. She was very informative and told me everything I needed to know. I went ahead and set up the reservation. They provide two options. Either you can use their crew and one of their trucks for $165 per hour or rent your own truck and pay $135 per hour. The minimum is two hours but the average move is 5-7 hours. We really just needed help with all the heavy items. There is also a one time travel fee of $55. We opted to rent our own truck but the company provided shrink wrap, padding and mattress covers. Our team of three arrived pretty prompt. The crew chief was Jeff, super nice guy and full of all kinds of tips on saving money in the home. We also had Paul and Reed. Once again, very personable guys but right to the business of getting us moved. These guys are so proficient at what they do and they make it look easy. We ended up doing two loads and I was so impressed with their amazing packing skills. They loaded the truck from top to bottom and nothing broke or was damaged. They were so careful leaving the old house and coming into the new home. My husband and I could not be happier with the service provided. In the future, if or when we move, I will call this company again and request this crew! No rain falling on Umbrella Movers, just lots of stars from this Yelper! read more

If I could rate a 4.5, I would, but since I can't I decided to round up to a 5 versus down to a 4. Because I want you to know, if you are looking for movers, this is the company you should use. I have moved many, many times in my life. I could be an expert, if there is such a thing. I liked dealing with Kathryn for the initial estimate. She was friendly and professional. Although, she did underestimate the overall cost, but I didn't, so I was prepared to pay more. The crew that came out to pack the first day was late, but they called and told me so. Now, here is where I lean towards the 5 versus 4 stars....Tony, Juan and Billy have the best personalities! They were extremely patient, friendly, and professional. I was so glad when Kathryn sent then back the next day for the actual move. The other reason I struggled with a full five stars is because there was room for improvement. It was all small things, and I don't want to nitpick everything to death, so I won't. Instead, just know that they accomplished moving about 6,000lbs of household in a day and half, with no damage to the goods, and stayed patient throughout, even when my overzealous friend asked them to reposition furniture several times while o was out, and later when I went into extremely tired, grumpy mode. They never once showed a negative attitude. Going to move again, and this is the company I will use. read more

I've used them numerous times and they are reliable and most importantly careful with your belongs.

The absolute worst movers I have ever hired. They were referred to me by friends who had recently used and highly recommended Red Carpet Moving Company. Red Carpet was fully booked for the day of my move, so they recommended Umbrella. After an absolutely awful move by Umbrella from start to finish, I will NEVER use Umbrella or Red Carpet. read more

I hate moving and have moved multiple times, primarily for work. I'm retired now and decided that I couldn't handle another Vegas summer. I listed my condo for sale and immediately got an acceptable offer. With closing two weeks away, I had to hire a moving company. I made a few calls to other companies, but no one got back to me. By chance, I saw the Umbrella Movers' moving van while I was driving. I called the company and scheduled a move for the following week. Everything went smoothly, and my movers - Shawn and Reed- were professional, friendly and worked quickly to move my items from my condo to a storage unit. There is a small discount if you pay by cash or check. Once I find a new place to buy, I will definitely call Umbrella Movers! read more

Definitely would refer this company and use them again!! We had a container coming from out of town and needed some help loading. They were great! I have not used movers prior to Umbrella Movers but never again will I move with out them. Before our move I almost posted a review just on my initial call! The receptionist is so pleasant and real! She had personality and professionalism like you don't "hear" anywhere anymore! They also call and text back promptly, unfortunately I have found that this is a rare thing these days with most companies! Umbrella was also recommended by a friend of ours who has now used them twice. We still called around to get a few quotes prior to booking tho. Umbrella charges a minimum of 3 hours + truck fees. This was the least amount of required hours. Their overall hourly rate was not the cheapest but in comparison to minimum hours required and rate they are a better deal. They provide a truck, pads, blankets, shrink wrap, hand carts and of course the muscle! I had a choice of how many men to help and was given an estimate of time it should take. We were all boxed up and ready to go. Anything loose we either boxed while they moved or said we could come back for if necessary to keep from having delays. We moved a 4 bedroom house (1995sq ft) with 3 guys and zero help from us (besides pointing my finger) in 4 hours!!!! That also includes a drive from lake Las Vegas to North Las Vegas! Huge success! I do have to mention I have one garage shelf damaged in the process but notice I still have 5 stars... it was noted and I sent pictures in thru text which was fast and convenient. They sent someone out the next day after receiving the pictures. They had the exact pieces to fix my shelf and I can't tell anything happened to it at all. Also keep in mind it was not a very sturdy shelf to begin with nonetheless it was my property and they made sure they made it right. All other large pieces from fireplace, fridge, washer, dryer, large, heavy and bulky... not a scratch, scuff or blemish to be seen!! Highly recommend. Thank you Umbrella Movers! We've got your number! read more

Once again Umbrella Movers was amazing! We used them over 2 years ago and we used them again this weekend. Everyone in the office helped to flawlessly coordinate a three part move (2 bedroom condo + 10x10 storage unit + a retail store) to our new house. Right on time, at 8 am, Jeff and Nick showed up and got right to work. Those two gentlemen did not stop for 8 hours straight. They were cordial, entertaining and SO hard working. An absolute delight. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I accidentally gave the office staff an incorrect expiration date on my payment method and they called with the sweetest most apologetic message... Even though it was my fault! Hopefully, we won't be moving anytime soon. But if we do, you better believe we're calling Umbrella Movers!!!! read more

I take back the 5 star review I left from years ago. I recommended umbrella movers to my elderly parents to help them move from their house that's less than1200 square feet. It's a 2 bedroom- one story house in a retirement community ... which was already half empty bc I had been helping them move their smaller items that could fit in my pickup for the last two weeks. they had already sold their sectional couch so one of the biggest items to move during a move was already out of the picture. They moved a whole 2 miles up the street to another small one story house. the day before the movers were scheduled to come i took apart the two queen bed sets they had in hopes to cut down on moving time. I even took down the one tv they had mounted on the wall. My parents were told it would be 155/hr. I've hired at least 5 different movers in my life, including umbrella movers who moved me out of a 3000 sq foot- 5 bedroom house and know damn well this move should have taken 3 hours TOPS at snail speed. They charged my parents 4 hours and 15 min plus charged them for the truck. My mom didn't even tell me the final charge but she said over $700!? Knowing her she was probably ashamed to tell me what she really paid and threw out a smaller number. I asked my mom what they were doing that took so long. She said one guy was organizing inside of the truck while the other was figuring out how to disconnect the mf stove. I asked if the truck was full when they were done loading up and NOPE! I still have to go to my parents house tomorrow to help them move all the boxes and miscellaneous items left behind. Greaaat! Never again EDIT- I just read the previous review I left FROM 7 years ago. Our 24 foot Penske truck was FULL, top to bottom. They filled it in less than 3 hours. Wtf were you guys doing at my parents house?!! read more

Wonderful experience using Umbrella Movers. I had to hire them very last minute and they were so helpful in accommodating my request. Booking was easy and we received confirmation both in email and a call the day before the move. Tony and Paul showed up on time and were very professional and helpful!! I honestly did not think they would be able to fit all of my furniture into the pod, but did with room to spare! They even helped to fix a closet door that had come off the track a few weeks prior. Talk about amazing service!! They packed my 3 bedroom 2-story townhouse in 2 hours. They were quick, efficient, and so polite! I appreciated the time they took to wrap and protect my furniture, they even provided mattress protectors. More than worth the $325 paid for the care they provided and the stress they saved me from!! If I could give them 10 stars I would! Would recommend to all friends and family. Thank you Tony and Paul!! read more

They will overcharge you and damage your items. DO NOT RECOMMEND! They took an HOUR to get from my old home to the new one (only 10 miles). After asking twice what took so long they admitted they "had to stop and get gas". On my dollar!! (And still shouldn't have taken nearly that long). They showed up 25 minutes late for the appointment (first appointment of the day) and didn't even have enough gas?!? Damaged 3 items and when I spoke to a manger, they sent a guy over with a special marker to "repair". Stay away from Umbrella Movers if you value your furniture or your money! Left several messages with staff and they have never called me back. read more

Umbrella movers broke my pool table slate while moving from my storage to my home. The move was a 2 stage move to move my son's apartment into storage and move my pool table out of storage. To date, they have not resolved this situation. They indicated that they would seek out repair but have not as of yet. They do not return phone calls for updates with the exception of offering me $50.00 for my pool table slate which does not begin to compensate me for a $2500.00 pool table which is now useless and sitting in my garage taking up space. I've only asked that they either fix the pool table or find some way of rectifying this issue in the spirit of fairness. It is obvious at this point that they do not believe in fairness. If I could rate this company a zero, I would. I do not recommend this mover if you value your possessions. read more

I can't believe I've moved four times in three years and never enlisted help in a moving company! I'm so glad I was referred to Umbrella Movers. On the day of, they finished a previous move early and was able to start on my move early as well. They were quick but also took care of my belongings. Also, they were able to make a second stop to pick up other belongings from another house. When we got to to my new place, they made sure to ask me if I needed certain things in rooms. They were also nice to move some furniture out (that came originally with the house). This is my last move for awhile, but I will definitely call Umbrella Movers if I need to move again. read more

I used Umbrella Movers recently and I could not have been more pleased. We hired a crew with a truck to move our 3 bedroom house. On moving day the crew showed up by the scheduled time. After a quick survey of the items which needed to be moved, they got right to work. I was honestly amazed at how quickly and efficiently they worked. The rate is charged hourly so I was pleased amazed at the speed in which they worked. They worked together to move larger items, communicating with each other. The way they packed that moving truck you could tell they had done it many many times. What really earned this 5 star review is the respect they showed for our property. They carefully maneuvered making sure they didn't damage anything, including the house. They wrapped items in large cloths to protect them. The moving truck was thoughtfully packed to ensure nothing would be damaged en route to the new home. I honestly felt like they treated my stuff like their own! We knew that it was a lot to move and we were also moving clear across town. When we got to the new house we had racked up hours (we anticipated this). We asked the crew to bring heavier items such as furniture inside and to leave smaller items in the garage. They were 100% on board with that. Again, they moved everything with such speed. The crew was professional, respectful, and courteous. We have unpacked everything and NOTHING WAS DAMAGED!! I highly highly recommend Umbrella Movers ! read more

These guys are extremely fast and professional. The office quickly responded to emails and phone calls and the movers called me 30 minutes before to let me know they were on their way. When they arrived they quickly got to work without taking any breaks or moving slowly to try to get additional money by taking more time. They drove directly to the unload location (I've had movers randomly stop or go to lunch without telling me between locations -- and try to charge me for that) As they unloaded the made sure to place all the items where I wanted it and cleaned up after themselves. It only took 1.5 hours to load, drive, and unload. The same exact move with another company took 4. It was very impressive as they had 3 guys vs the 4 from the other company. I will be using them for my moves in the future. read more

I contacted multiple moving companies in Vegas and they were the only ones who got back to me. Shawn and Paul were our guys who got the job done. They were very efficient and fast! We had loaded our 10x30 storage unit ourselves and when they came to move everything they wrapped furniture in plastic wrap and anything that looked like it could get scratched they wrapped and taped with moving blankets. They were like Tetris champions loading that truck! They unloaded it in a very timely manner and put the furniture items in the rooms we requested. After searching for a moving company, I came a crossed Umbrella Movers after reading many great reviews I decided to book them for our move. They started off by being 25 mins late. The 2 guys assessed our stuff and began loading our belonging into Enterprise Rental truck. it took them 5 hours to load and unload the first truck, which I fell shouldn't have taking no more then 3.0 hours. At 12:55 they said we are going to take a 30 min lunch break and will meet you by at your apartment. I walked back into our new home and heard a crazy loud crashing sound, I went running outside to find my wife's car smashed by there 27' rental truck. The driver backed into it destroying the rear hatch and blowing the glass out of it. We asked for the drivers, drivers license he had a voided license. He said he just got his drivers back yesterday but could not provide the paperwork stating he had a new license. They called the owner and she advised me she would put in an insurance claim. My wife called our insurance company and opened a claim just in case these people turn out to be total fakes. Monday morning 10/16/2017, I called there insurance company based off of the policy # on there insurance card. There insurance company advised me they have not called in a claim, but asked if I would like to, so of course i did. The troubling factor is they told me they put in a claim on Friday October 13th 2017. I had to send there insurance company my invoice to finally get the ball rolling. So, getting back to the move. I was told to meet them back at my apartment at 2:00 PM they didn't show up until 2:39 PM it took them until 4:15 PM to load up rest of our stuff. I headed back to our new home. I received a call from them saying we left a box in your apartment garage that we need it took me 20 mins to get back over there and the clock is running. 5:10 I get a call were lost and cant find your home. Clock still running. At this point I told them to put everything in the garage because a 5 hour job is now 8.5 hours $1,38.78 and we now have an un-drivable vehicle. Bottom line is don't use this company, even after the huge inconvenience of crashing our car they fully charged us all of there time over runs.
