I visited Dr. Umansky this week because I have eyelid puffiness that has been getting considerably worse as I age. It started about 25 years ago but seemed to accelerate in the last 5 years (I'm 47). I am still trying to decide if I should do the surgery to get rid of my eye puff - I think I will, but I don't even go to doctors, have never had surgery, or been in a hospital (except to advocate for other people). This would be a HUGE step for me. Whether I do it or not, I can only say good things about Dr. Umansky and his entire staff - from the very first phone call with their office staff. I never thought I would like them (or any plastic surgeons). I was prepared to walk out disappointed. My picture of doctors is that they are fairly arrogant and out for money. Nothing could have been farther from the truth with Dr. Umansky. You can feel it when you talk to him - he gives of his time and he cares. He didn't even scoff that I wanted to keep the office door open because I have claustrophobia - he treated it as normal, not "weird". I loved him and his staff! Heidi coming in to talk to me was a nice touch...she made me feel even more comfortable after Dr. Umansky made me feel like he was my friend. I've seen Amy for Botox a few times now and it comes out perfect every time. She's conservative and doesn't talk you into more units like places I've been in the past. She listens and is super comforting. I also just went to her for lip filler for my first time and could not be happier. I was quite nervous but she walks you through the process and checks in every step of the way to make sure you're happy with the results. Highly recommend her! read more

I had my liposuction procedure years ago. Infortunately, my results were below average. Not happy that the area became worse. Any changes were barely noticeable. I wrote a review before the staff asked me to remove it and I did. Also, dissapointed that very little fat as taken, less than 1-2 lbs. After my consultation for reconstructive breast surgery at the same time as my mastectomy I went forward with obtaining an insurance authorization for Dr. Jeffrey Umansky to perform the surgery. Thinking he might need to see me before the surgery I called to schedule an appointment but was told that unless someone called me and said I needed to make an appointment I wouldn't need to. Great I thought. I went out of town on business but was called by Umansky's office 2 days later saying YES, I needed to come in right away for measurement otherwise they wouldn't be able to do the surgery. Long story short I couldn't get back to see the doctor when he had openings in his schedule (he was going to a seminar) and had to forego the reconstructive therefore causing me to have 2 separate surgeries (along with the additional hospital and lab cost). Thanks very much you guys. What else really erks me is the medical assistant calls me to explain that none of their staff would of ever stated I didn't need an appointment when I had called them. Well, my cell records prove I spoke to SOMEONE there (and the time of the call) so why in the world would I make something like that up and screw up my own surgery????? Also, do your homework before you have your appointment and ask all the questions you can think of. The info I received was limited and I got more out of searching the Internet on my own. read more

After being really frustrated with this office about a cancellation of an appointment, Dr. Umansky called me personally to apologize and generously made up for my time that was lost. I have to say William umansky is AMAZING! I got a breast augmentation from him 11 years ago and I'm more than happy with the outcome even after having a baby! If you are worried about finding a good doctor for cosmetic/reconstructive surgery, come see these doctors!!! They are great!! I was very nervous about having a breast augmentation surgery, but everyone in this office was fantastic and made me feel comfortable. The receptionists are very friendly and professional, the nurses are amazing, Heidi (she helps with the consultation and conducts the planning) is wonderful and Dr. Jeffery Umansky (he was my doctor, I have heard nothing but good things about his brother also) is everything you could want in a doctor. Nobody was pushy or pressured me into making any decisions, and patient with all my nit-picky questions. All around great experience. I am a total spaz case when it comes to surgery and had a freak out moment a couple days after surgery. I had my husband take me to the office on a Saturday, when they weren't technically open. It ended up being absolutely nothing, I was just being paranoid. But the doctor and nurses were incredibly patient and understanding. They didn't act like I was inconveniencing them, were so understanding and took a look at me and reassured me that everything was fine. I rarely write reviews but this is a necessity. Dr. Umanskey is nothing short of amazing. He preformed my breast augmentation back in 2005 and here it is 2013 and I am still happy and they still look fabulous. I went for many consultations and felt hands down the office staff, doctor and before and after photos spoke for them selves. Additionally I have known many others that have gone to Dr. William Umanskey and I have never heard one person complain or receive unhappy results. More recently (October 2013) I came back to receive a Rhinoplasty. Again I could not possibly be any more happy with the results. The consultation left me feeling confident that we were on the same page with what I wanted. Again the doctor did not disappoint. Just as my breasts, my nose turned out to be just as I had imagined... Natural looking and no scars. Everything from his bedside manner to availability here is amazing. I sought out Dr. Jeff Umansky after reading numerous positive yelp reviews and I soon realized I could not have chosen a better doctor or practice. Terri was absolutely wonderful and helped me set up everything before I arrived in San Diego. The pre-op appointment was seamless and after surgery Dr. Jeff and the nurses were available to answer all of my questions. I did have some areas where my scars were more pronounced than others and Dr. Umansky was quick to set me up for several laser scar treatments that have begun to reduce the appearance. I had an amazing experience with Dr. William Umansky. I've had two procedures with him now, first one being a breast augmentation, second one being an open rhinoplasty. I could not be more thrilled with the results. He had me come in for follow-up appointments routinely after each procedure. Very happy with my breast reduction surgery by Dr. Jeff Umansky. It took me many years to finally get the courage to investigate the procedure and choose a surgeon. The results are fantastic. I followed Stacey Ross here from the last medical spa she worked at and I am so happy I did! It was a great experience from start to finish- from booking an appointment to checking in and checking out, the staff is very friendly and sweet! Truthfully, I would have followed Stacey anywhere, she's THAT amazing. I get Botox mainly for prevention but I have to admit I love the way it relaxes my lines and gives me so much more confidence. Amy is the best at laser hair removal! She's sweet, very experienced and takes pride in her work. She has the latest and greatest equipment too, so don't be fooled by cheaper offers. I started with my bikini, when I experienced how quick and virtually painless it is I immediately signed up for my underarms and legs. It was a bit of an investment for me, but soooo worth it!!! Baby soft legs, not rushing in the shower worrying about being late while shaving everything...wasting water, spending money on blades and creams- there's a million reasons I wish I had done this years ago. A friend recommended Dr. Umansky Medical Center because she had great results. I have also read many really good reviews. I was excited to call and set up an appointment for a consultation for a tummy tuck. I called last week and a girl answered and said that the consultation specialists were unavailable and they would take my number and call me back. I never received a return phone call. So, a couple days later I sent an email and I got an automated email response telling me how great they are and that I should call to schedule a consultation. Today I tried again to set up a consultation and the same girl answered and informed me that the consultation specialists were all on lunch and they would take my number and call me back. I told her at that time that last week they took my number and said they would call me back. She assured me that someone would call me back today. Well, now it is 8 pm and I still have not received a phone call. I am so disappointed, I guessl I will try somewhere else. read more

I had breast revision surgery in August 2015 with Dr. William Umansky. I am beyond thrilled! He is such a great doctor and an artist. I had augmentation surgery with a different physician in 2000 and came to him to see if could fix some of the issues. Dr. Umansky has performed augmentation surgery on three of my friends and even though I currently live in Texas, his work is so good that I knew I had to travel to San Diego to have him perform my revision surgery once I made the decision to go through with it. Having had breast surgery previously, I now understand how important it is to choose a skilled physician who can create the look you want. All surgeons are NOT created equal. He did an amazing job! Exceeded my expectations! My downtime was virtually non-existent. I was up moving around the very next day and I was able to fly back home to Texas within a few days (not because I wasn't feeling up to it, but because he wanted to make sure I was able to attend a follow up appointment). He and his wonderful staff helped guide me through the process both in the office and over the phone. You simply cannot go wrong here.
